The other day God's most important end time servant and closet Catholic had a posting on his blog trying to prove that an article on a fringe right-wing Catholic site that is predicting the start of WWIII on June 12, 2019 it wrong. I had to laugh when I first saw his post, considering here is a self-appointed prophet of a fringe splinter group of the Worldwide Church of God trying to prove a fringe group of the Catholic church is wrong.
Then I received this today:
I see that Prophet Bob also predicts what WON’T happen. This is a neat trick: find some even more obscure, deluded, and fringe group or person than you; publish their prophecy, and then explain that it won’t happen. Today’s example being COGWriter’s email about WW3 occurring this year. This is far safer than trying to guess what will happen, and it improves your overall Prophecy Score. (“I predicted that the Great Tribulation wouldn’t occur in 2001 and 2002 and 2003 etc etc. and, by golly, it didn’t. The ‘Lady of Fatima’ appeared to three children in Fatima, Portugal, once a month (almost always on the 13th of the month) from May to October 1917.
A massive shrine related to this is now in Fatima, Portugal.
Some believe that the ‘Lady’ correctly predicted the end of WWI, as well as the coming WWII, and some future disaster.
Then in his smug, self-righteous know-it-all attitude adds this:Is it possible that WWIII, which would seem to be the start of the prophesied Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21) can happen next month or in October of 2019?
Based upon Jesus’ words, there is no possibility that the Great Tribulation can happen in 2019 and those who rely on the Bible have realized this. It is only those who overlook scripture and rely on their own views and/or false traditions who make the mistake of thinking that the Great Tribulation can, or could, happen in 2019.
Why do I state this?
Jesus pointed to Daniel.
Daniel shows that the coming “King of the North” will make a deal of some sort with one called the King of the South just before the appointed time of the end:27 Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time (Daniel 11:27).
Elijah Thiel has been blabbing for some time now that not one single COG group understands prophecy as he does and will be left behind when it is time to flee to Petra. Only he and his group are the people who possess the real truth.Thus, one reason that the Great Tribulation will not begin yet is that one known as the final King of the North in Daniel 11 needs to rise up.
How many more of these buffoons need to arise in the Church of God who proclaims this kind of crap? We already have so many of these men making these kinds comments and not a single one of them has ever told the truth. Not one of their prophecies has ever come true nor will it ever.
All Elijah Bob does is spend his time trying to prove other people wrong in order to make himself look good and "accurate" in the eyes of his deceived followers in Africa. God is not working with Thiel, never has and never will. That is what is so sad about the thousands of African followers he has duped into believing he is a prophet, they believe he is essential to their walk with God. He is not and never will be.

From my experience Africans are most likely using Bob rather than being true followers.

If Bob is a true prophet, then why have we not heard any 'Thus saith the LORD....' True prophets never told anyone that they were prophets. They people knew because their works proved them to be prophets, not like silly Bob who pretends to be a prophet. Only false prophets go about telling others that they are prophets.

Bob Thiel and his Continuing Church of Paganism continue to rummage through the prophetic garbage dump of demon-inspired pagan prophecies and FAKE NEWS on television. Mayan, Kenyan, and Catholic prophecies are not going to help anyone at all. Neither will the Clinton News Network (CNN). Some people feel a need to waste the time of their lives on such things.
These Millerite "prophets" should take a page from the handbook of supreme Millerite prophet David Koresh. Koresh made prophecies that were actually fulfilled. The principles he used are:
1. It is all right to make some big long range prophecies but, short range, make some limited, smaller and achievable prophecies. Koresh prophesied lots of grandly global apocalyptic events but he also prophesied that the Feds would attack the Waco Compound.
2. Manipulate events to bring about the fulfillment of the limited, short term prophecies. This fulfillment builds confidence among followers and credibility for the prophet. So Koresh was stocking up on illegal automatic weapons, ammunition and hand grenades. This would ensure that ATF would be on his case and his prophecy would be fulfilled.
It all worked but things kinda got out of hand. This brings us to point 3, which Koresh is not around to exemplify, "Don't get killed."
As a general comment, pretending to understand prophecy, with the church members actually trusting and respecting the pretenders, is the chief aspect which made the Armstrong movement so very cultish. It is why parents became such a negative in their childrens’ lives, co-opting those lives with all sort of nonsense and faulty thought patterns. It was also the basis used for draconian punishment (falsely called “training”), and a constantly “in limbo” lifestyle. Young people became vagabonds in life, never pursuing any of the factors which would have provided a solid basis for a stable life and real achievement during their physical lifetime. Some have lived decades in this limbo, and are still held in its unnerving clutches in their senior years.
That is the ugliness and the damage inherent in what Bob Thiel is doing as he aspires to be a prophet of Armstrongism. Some may feel that Banned is too harsh a critic of “pseudodoc”, but he is perpetuating a cycle of ruining peoples’ lives, or at the very least of diminishing their potential. It just blows me away that there is still an audience for such unmitigated crap, but some things never change. History is not 100% effective in teaching its lessons, especially when there are so many people walking around who may as well have a flashing neon sign that reads “victim” over their heads.

If Bob had been around the R/WCG earlier, would he have written "Why the Tribulation Cannot Begin in 1972"?
Apart from some dreams and a few events in LCG, Bob doesn't claim to have received prophetic messages. What he appears to claim is that his more enlightened understanding of prophecy allows him to correctly "interpret" world news. HWA made this type of claim about GTA in his heyday.
I am also good at prophesying times and dates on which prophecies of all kinds will NOT be fulfilled. I haven't been wrong yet.
I frequently begin or end my prophecies with, "Thus saith NOT the Lord." Sometimes I even quote Deuteronomy 18:20-22 afterwards.
That must make me some kind of a true prophet, no? Or maybe that makes me a true nonprophet?
I have a perfect record. It's almost spooky. You wouldn't expect that to happen just by chance alone, now would you? There can only be one explanation. Yep, direct divine revelation. God is telling me when things won't happen. You could say it's a gift. I try to be modest, but it's hard.
Now if only I could get all these self-styled "prophets" to put their money where their big fat mouths are and pony up a wager on their side of the bet. I'd win every freaking time.
Another way to describe Bob's prophetic forte is post hoc vaticinium (prediction after the fact). Rain, drought, fire or whatever, when it happened in California, he said it was punishment for LGBTQ legislation. I thought the way prophets worked was "if you do this, then this will happen". But, as Yogi Berra apparently observed, “It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future”.
He says World War III will not begin June 13? Well then, now we're all in trouble. 3 weeks until War.

At one time, at least part of the SDAs taught that the USA would be punished for having Sunday Blue Laws. Some apparently considered the USA to be the "Beast" for the same reason...

i suspect donald drumpf will go to war with iran, then cease hostilities when the russian navy comes to irans aid; hence Daniel 11:29-30 will be fulfilled and we shall then know at what stage in human history we are at, and that Christs Return is imminent...
