How much is you're mother in charge of entire family? The authority of the church is like the authority of a mother in a family. And do you not sometimes have rebellious kids within any human family and then in a tightly led family the father has to then get involved and do dinner serious discipline)from the mother).

I hope you are writing that tongue in cheek. But in case you aren't, firstly, what is "the church"? It is the individuals unified by Gods Spirit. It is not synonymous with heirachy or ministry. Secondly, that verse you are vaguely referring to, Galatians 4:26 does not say "the ministry is our mother", the verse says "Jerusalem above...is our mother". This is a huge stretch to try and link it to the ministry, but the whole verse is making an analysis between Sarah and Hagar, free and slave, old and new. It is a catholic twisting of that verse to try and make it read that we must view the church as our mother.
I.51 PM I looked up the COG the eternal web site. According to their late Raymond C Cole founder article, those who were "argued" into accepting certain truths, all fell away. Only those who blindly accepted the "revealed" truth remained faithful. So everyone must switch off their "arguing" minds. It's another Borg "resistance is futile" splinter. It follows that gaslighting must be in their bag of tricks.

It's an authoritarian move that all of us who ever joined Armstrongism allowed them to make, and we fell for the eisegesis with which they supported their teachings, just as Jehovah's Witnesses do, or any other cult members.
Caution! Unless you are an ACOG minister, don't attempt to light gas at home! Igniting certain types of gas has been known to cause severe burns, singeing of hair or other injuries.
And while everyone has been focused on the cult like control that Dave Pack and Gerald Flurry have over their groups...LCG is closing in on them fast! They are one of the largest collection of bullies and hypocrites you'll find in religion these days. If you're looking for a place where you can experience love, joy and peace....you won't find it in LCG. They're horrible, stay far away from that group!
