Ah yes, Boney M. I remember them well. RIP Bobby Farrell (the male singer) 1949–2010, and Frank Farian, Boney M's founder and producer 1941–2024.

Great song. I was living in Israel 1978-1980. Boney M were popular. But YMCA was the disco and airtime favorite. Can't forget ABBA also. And the Doobie Brothers were really popular. especially their 'What a fool believes'. Played (blasted) on Israeli buses crossing the Sinai back in the day. Loved it ever since. I loved Israeli legends Milk and Honey and their Eurovision smash Hallelujah. But I absolutely adored Ofra Haza and her Im Nin Alu. And of course The Clash with their London Calling. Them were the days. Just a little reminiscing going on here............

Daniel O'Donnell has his own version of this, but didn't know this group did it first.

But, of course, Dwight Armstrong wrote HIS version of this psalm before any of them.

Boney M touched more people with the word of God than Bob Thiel ever has or ever will.
