Bob Thiel: If You Have A Tattoo You Are Worshipping The Egyptian God Bes Who Protects Against VD's

Bob Thiel, the non-ordained self-appointed false prophet of the Continuing Ed Church of God is lashing out at tattoo's.  Never one to come up with an original thought, Thiel is recycling old WCG writings in order to impress his 30 some church members and hopefully sound good to church members in other groups.  Tattoo's is just another in a long line of things the church has no business sticking it's nose into.

Thiel starts out writing about Nicole Richie who regrets getting a tramp tat years ago.

Thiel writes:

Although she thought her inking was a good idea aged 16, now, 15 years later she now wants it gone.  http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/entertainment/why-nicole-richie-is-on-a-mission-to-remove-her-teen-tramp-stamp/story-e6fredpu-1226633013911

As it turns out, when she was told it would take multiple treatments and about one year for it to be removed, she decided against getting it removed now, but stated that she would likely do it some time in the future.

Lower-back tattoos are also perceived as an indication of promiscuity by some, and so that is likely how the term “tramp stamp” developed.  When one considers that the tattoo is not in a place that the woman getting it can see without mirrors or some other aid, this is also consistent with the view it is there to be seen by someone looking at her nude/nearly nude body (or fairly low cut slacks while wearing a short top/blouse).

Whether related to increased promiscuity or not, more and more seem to have tattoos.  When I grew up, it seemed it was mainly bikers and men who had been in the military.

Thiel then has to find some connection to paganism that people apparently still worship today:

The Smithsonian report mentioned Egypt and the dwarf god Bes. Here is some information about him:
Bes (Bisu, Aha) was an ancient Egyptian dwarf god. He was a complex being who was both a deity and a demonic fighter. He was a god of war, yet he was also a patron of childbirth and the home, and was associated with sexuality, humour, music and dancing. Although he began as a protector of the pharaoh, he became very popular with every day Egyptian people because he protected women and children above all others. He had no temples and there were no priests ordained in his name. However, he was one of the most popular gods of ancient Egypt and was often depicted on household items such as furniture, mirrors and cosmetics containers and applicators as well as magical wands and knives. It is also thought that sacred prostitutes may have had a tattoo of Bes placed near their pubic area in order to prevent venereal diseases…(Gods of Ancient Egypt: Bes. Copyright J Hill 2010. http://ancientegyptonline.co.uk/bes.html)
Thus, tattoos provided a religious connection with this Egyptian deity. Throughout the Bible, God’s people are warned to come out of Egypt and not have images of heathen gods (e.g. Exodus 20:1-6).  Since Bes was supposed to be a protector and fighter against demons, this may well be why prostitutes had tattoos–apparently some were mistakenly led to believe that the tattoo would protect them from sexually-transmitted diseases and other problems. God did not want His people to follow such practices.

Then to bring Jesus into the picture he says this:

Although the Church of Rome does not discourage tattoos, and some Protestants seem to believe that displaying certain ones (normally with symbols such as crosses or scriptural verses) gives a public testimony to Christ. Yet, Jesus never had a tattoo.
Actually, His word condemned them:
28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord. 29 ‘Do not prostitute your daughter, to cause her to be a harlot, lest the land fall into harlotry, and the land become full of wickedness. (Leviticus 19:28-29)
The fact that the admonition against prostitution comes right after the admonition to not have tattoos reminds me of the view that certain tattoos are signs of a tramp, hence the modern term “tramp stamp.”
Now that you know the truth about tattoo's you should not go out and get any more.  God Bob has spoken!

Of course, if you have one or more tattoos this does not mean that you are doomed or that you have to rush out and try to get it removed.  But certainly, you should not get more of them.  Nor should anyone who claims to believe the Bible actually go out and get them.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived (2 Timothy 3:13, KJV)
The growing acceptance of tattoos in Western societies is consistent with the above.

Flurry Cult: HWA Saved Much Heartache Because He Prohibited Football

Become like a little child so we can tell you anything we want and you will believe it.

Those crazy folk at Philadelphia Church of God are always an entertaining bunch.  They hate football just as much as Bob Thiel does.  Bob must be wetting his pants right now in delight!

According to Six Pack and crew, church members need to start acting like little children and let more intelligent men do their thinking for them.  Who knows, in the long run that person may have made a correct decision that saved your life.  By being a little child you no longer have to question even worry about things.  Those above you know better and will tell you want to believe and do.  How can people in the PCG be this stupid that they believe drivel and allow others to tell them what to do?

Mr. Armstrong’s ruling on football shows us something much bigger. Sometimes a ruling is made that we may not totally understand at the time. Mr. Armstrong didn’t spell out exactly everything that could happen to those who played football. Probably he didn’t know all that the medical profession has discovered today. But God knew, and He warned His people out of love—God wanted to keep us safe.
Heeding those warnings has kept many of God’s people safe over the years. And maybe ignoring some has caused us problems. Christ admonishes His people to become child-like (Matthew 18:3). A well-trained child will follow his parent’s instruction immediately and as precisely as he can. They learn that they will find out the “why” later. In the case of why I shouldn’t play tackle football, now I clearly see why—33 years later. Now I See Why

Idiots In The Pulpit: Holy Helicopters Batman! Gerald Flurry Should Take Notice

Houston weather, traffic, news | FOX 26 | MyFoxHouston

Gerald Flurry recently spent several thousand dollars to fly a helicopter around his compound in order to impress his dwindling flock.  Perhaps Gerald needs to resort to these tactics in order to raise money.  Admit it, don't you want a new car too?

Bob Thiel: COG's Greatest Conspiracy Nut Hyperventilates Over "Satan's Chair"

The non-ordained self-appointed conspiracy laden splinter group leader Bob Thiel is busy today with his latest tirade against the Catholic Church.  His latest entry is based upon the "prophecies" of St Malachy, a 9th century Irish priest and that the Vatican supposedly contains the chair that Satan will eventually sit upon.  That chair is reportedly in the Vatican in a shrine that covers the remnants of the chair St. Peter supposedly sat on.

St. Malachy supposedly had a vision where he saw that there would only be 112 popes before the end of the world came.

Bob Thiel needs and uses these visions by Malachay and Fatima in order to legitimize his lunatic rantings.  Thiel is so enthralled by these conspiracy theories that he is in Rome right now gathering information for his new book and podcasts.

When you Google "Is Satan's Throne In The Vatican" you will get literally thousands of conspiracy laden blogs and web sites filled with some of the craziest idiocy imaginable.  Bat shit crazy isn't even word that can accurately describe some of these sites.  The best part when you do this is that right there in the middle of it all is Bob Thiel.  He is just as crazy as they all are.

Bob includes a picture his wife took (similar to the one above) and this:

Yesterday, my wife Joyce and I were able to once again see and visit what could be ‘Satan’s throne’ if the devil does in fact have a physical throne on the earth.

Back in 1987 on a tour of Saint Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, those of on that tour (all WCG members) were told by a Worldwide Church of God minister who was conducting the tour that Joseph Tkach, Sr. (who was then the Pastor General of WCG–he died in 1995) stated that he felt that this was “Satan’s throne.” The WCG tour guide minister also said that that there was a tradition/legend (which possibly can be tied to one interpretation of the 12th century Malachy prophecy) that the final pope would sit on this throne.
It's funny how he has to quote Tkach Sr. as an authority on this "chair of Satan."  Tkach Sr. got his same stupid reasoning about this chair from the same stupid conspiracy theorists and anti-Catholic's that have been apart of the COG for decades.  The COG has always had to have some bogey-man who was evil and out to get therm.  The WCG thrived on that and most of the splinter cults still do to this day.

When false prophet and "teacher" Thiel publishes this asinine  stuff he makes himself look like a fool and looses  credibility.

With Bob being in Italy right now we are guaranteed a plethora of conspiracy theories when he gets back.  It will be Fatima 24/7 for several weeks.

A "Prophecy of the Popes" is attributed to St. Malachy, which is claimed to predict that there would be only 112 more popes before the Last Judgment. It was discovered and published by Benedictine Arnold de Wyon in 1590. Most scholars consider the document a 16th-century elaborate hoax.[5] Like any good conspiracy theory, there are many holes in the lore of St. Malachy, according to Father James Weiss, a professor of church history at Boston College. "It is widely thought ... given who the author was and his relationship, [that the prophecies] were published to establish the case for election of one particular cardinal," said Weiss.[6] Dr. Thomas Groome, chair of the Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry at Boston College, has a similar notion, "For myself -- and even as a native Irishman -- the 'Prophecies of St. Malachy' are a grand old fun tale that have about as much reliability as the morning horoscope".[6] Thomas J. Reese, SJ, of Georgetown University, had only this to say: "St. Malachy's prophecy is nonsense."[6]

Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business Comes to Former Ambassador College Campus Pasadena

When the Worldwide Church of God sold the lower half of the Ambassador College around 2004, it became the home of Maranatha High School.  Maranatha is a high ranking college prep Christian High School that has an excellent reputation for academics.  The school has poured millions of dollars into restoring the former Grove Terrace men's dorm into a state of the art classroom facility.  They've restored the College Gym and Natatorium to its former glory, as well as the handball courts.

The track was resurfaced a few years ago with a new field of outdoor artificial grass.  They removed the old track and turf along with the west fencing and made it into a regulation size football field.  High Intensity field lights have been installed to illuminant the football field for Friday night football games.

The Student Center was also restored and functions as the Student Center for the High School.

Maranatha also owns the Hall of Administration, that has been reportedly sold to a Chinese development company that plans on building condo's.

Now, the Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management has moved onto the property.

A New MBA Program Comes to Pasadena

By GARY MANGIOFICO

Maranatha High School - Pasadena

(PASADENA STAR NEWS) — For too long California has been ranked near the bottom of national surveys identifying the “best states to do business.” Whether it is Chief Executive Magazine that ranks California dead last at No. 50 or CNBC’s ranking that has California near the cellar at No. 40, California is not depicted as a positive place to do business.

While the reasons for California’s position are plausible, do such rankings as these tell a story about Pasadena? Hardly.

Pasadena is uniquely positioned to provide businesses with the workforce that can make them successful and at the same time lift up the whole region’s economy.

Pasadena has a unique and highly skilled workforce that rivals any other geography in the state and the nation. More than 43 percent of adult residents hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. More than 19 percent of adults age 25 and older have earned a graduate degree. Nearly 87 percent of local residents are in white-collar professions.

These stats are one of the top reasons that Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business and Management has decided to expand our Fully Employed MBA program to Pasadena. Through a partnership with Maranatha High School, the Graziadio School is offering MBA classes at one of the region’s finest college preparatory institutions.
