A UCG Doctor has written a book on when does human life begin.
When Does Human Life Begin?
A Fresh Look at Scientific, Scriptural, and Historical Evidence
There is a tension that exists between those who believe in scientific progress through any means and those believe in a foundational morality as the basis for all of our actions, and scientific advances. Nowhere is this debate more fiercely seen than that in the stem cell and abortion debates seen today. What is the basis for this conflict and for the positions each side takes? The nexus of this conflict is one of the most fundamental questions mankind has faced one that reaches the very level of our own unique human identity When Does Human Life Begin?
In order to understand the question of when life begins we must first attempt to understand what forms the foundations of our current history. This book is the beginning of an effort to align history with the perspective of scripture and biology to investigate life’s origins. This book provides a unique perspective into a debate totally entrenched in dogma and emotion. While is it deservedly so a hot-button topic - few may stop to consider the reasons for their belief, or of their opponents. It is hoped that by further understanding the foundation for our current thinking - that we can come to an understanding that brings greater clarity to the debate _ and the solution.

Well, they certainly don't give the answer in the first chapter. I guess we will have to remain ignorant.
Speaking of ethics, just how ethical to ask questions all the way through the first chapter online and not give the answer? It certainly looks like they are withholding information about the most important issue of all -- life -- and they don't tell you because you just have to buy the book.
This is bloody all about money! If it weren't it would be on the book cover. Nevermind. We can guess.
Just how much credulity should we give this book, no matter what answer they give us?
First of all, doctors, MDs, even Christian ones, don't seem to have a difinitive answer after decades or more of arguments. Secondly, why should we assume that medical doctors from the UCG could possibly give us a right answer? By being in United, they believe in British Israelism, don't they? That's a silly notion. Just why would we trust anyone delusional enough to believe something that crazy? Or if they don't, then why are they still with United? Do you suppose they know anything about DNA? Just what distinction can they bring to the debate?
Oh, I know! They are members of United and they're doctors! They support the power structure and the prejudices of the UCG leadership and as such, the members must accept what they say on faith!
It's opinion. With a little luck, it can be raised to doctrine.
Oh, yeah. And not so fresh -- another lie.
If the parent believe in British Israelism, then to abort means that they reject the promise of Abraham.
Bet ya a nickel I'm right but I won't buy the book to see if I am correct.
Two passages clarify this endless uninspired debate:
Jer.1:5: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Rom. 8:29: For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Our person, or soul/personality make-up, if you like, is preplanned and created before conception. The Firstfruits, the first phase of man's salvation,
are called and can fulfill their destiny as leaders in the KOG, or waste it in purposeless lives.
When they say, "Doctors", they likely mean, "Doctors of Divinity". Ho, ho ho.
Ooops. I just looked again, and they do claim MD.
