I guess a huge stack of Bibles next to you makes you an authority on scripture. All that is missing is a Strong's Concordance and a COG minister sitting at the desk.
We had a couple of "ministers" walk out on stage in Pasadena every time they spoke with a huge stack of books under their arm. I guess they thought we were supposed to be in awe of their speaking and intelligence. Trouble was, they were just as theologically stupid as this minister who is attempting to talk about grape juice and wine.

Yes, another clear case of a 'minister' knowing neither the scriptures nor the spirit of the Messiah. Therefore, he preaches his own gospel according to men.
The Messiah said that there are many false teachers and false prophets.
Maybe he has something there. Oh, I know that it would be silly to call Jesus a "grape juice bibber" and "grape juice which cheers the heart of God and man", but if you look very very carefully at the "fruit of the vine" used at the Lord's supper, it doesn't say wine. Although, with the Apostle Paul talking about taking the Lord's blood at the Lord's supper, it's difficult to understand how people could get drunk on grape juice. Well, maybe alcohol was not supposed to be part of the service. Who knows these things? They were written almost 2,000 years ago, give or take a couple or three decades. We still argue about who shot John F. Kennedy, and that's in my life time, let alone try to suss out something written about centuries ago.
So, grape juice could have been popular in Jesus' time, but given there were no refrigerators and no way to keep it cool for long periods, pure unfermented grape juice would probably be a luxury item for the very rich in the spring time -- unless grapes were harvested year round. Does anyone know if the weather has changed in Palestine over 2,000 years? Maybe it was a cooler climate and grapes could not be grown year round.
Oh who knows?
