Dave Pack Says Doctrine Can Only Come Through Him

William Beher is on the defense today against UCG and COGWA.  He is in a snit because they have doctrinal committees that sit down and discuss doctrine.  William wants you to know that doctrine can ONLY come down through the proper chain of command (from Jesus through Dave) and NOT through doctrinal committees.

Is Dave afraid that some of his heretical doctrines are starting to cause issues and he wants to stamp out any rebellion?  Have some of the new converts had their eyes opened and realized that they made a mistake in joining his cult because of his heretical doctrines? By speaking out such as he has, he has once again throttled members  from questioning his decisions and man made doctrines.

Who is responsible for teaching the Church doctrine and for ensuring it speaks right doctrine—TRUTH? Groups and organizations such as United Church of God and Church of God, a Worldwide Association, would have you believe “doctrinal committees” and/or a “council of elders” or individual ministers of varying ranks leading their own groups may bring truth to the Church, including overturning what an apostle taught. Also, whose duty is it—apostles, committees or lower ranking ministers—to ensure all of God’s people “speak the same thing”? Mr. Armstrong brought plain teaching on this subject, and it is what scores of thousands in the Worldwide Church of God all once professed to believe.

No “doctrinal committee” or “other group of ministers or lay members” (or any single minister below apostle) may bring truth into the Church. Why then do organizations permit groups of men to decide what their organizations believe and teach—and throw out doctrines taught by Christ’s 20th-century apostle? Who gave these men such authority?

 William ends with:

Mr. Armstrong speaks with no ambiguity! Don’t believe false ministers. Do your own thinking. Examine the rotten fruits of organizations that teach contrary to the Bible pattern, and compare this to the fruits of God’s Church, which faithfully holds to ALL of the truth—what Christ’s 20th-century apostle taught.

We have examined the rotten fruit of the "restored" Church of God and is rotten to the core.  Smelly and vile.  It makes great pig slop.

Proof I suppose that vitimins and health suppliments can cause brain damage and mental issues.

The question should be asked: Who died and left David Pack God?

I would suppose the answer is: Herbert W. (Wolf) Armstrong?

Just as sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from technology, so it is that sufficiently well developed lies are indistinguishable from the truth.

Except in this case, we know that everything about David Pack is a lie.

It is very simple logic.

His prophecies have failed.

The issue isn't that he's a false prophet, the issue is that he is totally unreliable and no one can trust one word he says. End of story. He is worthless. There is no reason to have anything to do with him in any way. He doesn't provide anything, he just absorbs resources and has a negative ROI.

Everyone should have figured this out in 1975. 1975 in Prophecy never happened: Therefore (the simple logic), Armstrongism is a major fail, nothing can rescue it and no one should have ever paid any attention to it. We all have proof. There is nothing else to say except for the details of further proof of a totally unviable belief system which has no future to it.

Followers: No excuses. You really know better at your core. Leave him. Every second you spend with him makes you a loser.

The author of this article was William Behrer, not David Pack, according to the author of the article at the RCGtruth site.

Thanks, corrected that. When they originally posted the story they had no attribute as to who wrote it.

Quote from Longtime minitsters page: "“But every doctrine, belief and teaching in the Worldwide Church of God has come from christ THROUGH his chosen apostle!” ( What Is a Liberal?” The Worldwide News, Feb. 19, 1979)
“The living Jesus Christ founded the one true Church of God, A.D. 31. The same living Jesus Christ started the Philadelphia era of God’s Church through me, as His chosen apostle, August, 1933.”

Ok, so if Herb was the "chosen" apostle and there is a line of apostolic succession, then logic breaks down here. Herb chose Joe Tkach, not Dave Pack to succeed him. All the changes from Joe, successor to aposlte Herb should be directly from God should they not ? How does Davey fit in he was not chosen for this role. No apostle is "infallible" as they think they are. They criticize the Catholics for their stance on infallibility, but they practice the same thing. Catholics at least have a system to choose a new leader with some control. Geez Pope Herb chose poorly if he thought Joe and Joe Jr. would carry on his legacy.

I better not hear Dave pick on the Catholic system of doing things as it is the same thing they are doing. I'd love to photoshop Dave's dorky picture into a cardinal or pope outfit.

And again, where the hell is Dale? I guess he ran out of steam speaking out.

Pack is adopting what HWA did back in the 30's. Assuming dictatorial powers by his own authority.

Read it on the Painful Truth blog.
JESUS’ TEACHING ON CHURCH GOVERNMENT

I posted this Tuesday. My guess is that Behrer read it and adopted it.

Thanks so very much to Painful Truth for posting the 1939 article on HWA's thoughts on "church government". I read the entire article and actually laughed out loud from about the middle to the end. This is something I had never seen before. Places like NO2HWA and Painful Truth are where better understanding can be obtained.

Your comment on PT about "if you can stomach it" was not hard for me to "stomach" at all. I enjoy learning that my move away from such "stuff" was the right thing to do!

KUDOS to Painful Truth!
