Is this from Merriam Webster's Pictorial Dictionary? If so, what word? I looked up "fanatic" and didn't find it there. Just to eliminate the obvious, I also looked up "Prophet". Still no dice, so I went to "vanity" and again, nothing. Anybody else have any suggestions?

Well, Bob certainly isn't "hip" or "bad" in a 1960s sense. As for "groovy" he may have wrinkles at his age. So, as for catching your meaning, it seems I'm flaming out like the embers of a burnt-out faggot of sticks.
Based on the number of his posts on the topic, Bob seems to think that COVID will lead to all-digital currency, his "666". He really wants to have a well-earned "Told ya"! If this all clears up and we're back to the "new" normal see what he thinks.
If he thinks "digital currency" is his 666. Then he is like those first late 19th century carmaker who made cars that looked exactly like the carriage without the horse and believed the car just to be an "improved horse".
On the other hand conspiracy thought is kinda "out of the box" thinking still.
Someone tell Bob that a lot of deaths are attributed to COVID19 in order to get money out of the federal gov. That's what New York state is up to--vastly exaggerating the deaths from COVID19. Countries that did not buy into this lock-down crap have far fewer "COVID" deaths.

Know how the right counts the stats? Say you have stage 2 hypertension and might die in several years. You catch the virus and die today. The right counts it as death due to hypertension. Same with diabetes. Death at home from the virus when the victim was never diagnosed doesn't count as a Covid death. The damn thing is running through the prison population, nursing homes, meat packing plants, healthcare industry, the Navy, cruise industry, and grocery industry like Grant took Richmond, and some in the stupid party still think it's a hoax.
