The coronavirus pandemic has sent the prophets of doom in the Church of God into a feeding frenzy lately. Death and damnation has been poured out upon the world. especially upon the United States. This virus is a wet dream come true for these guys. From James Malm to Bob Thiel, Dave Pack, and many others, this endless stream of "the end is here" scenarios have no end. The silliness these guys have been shouting gets crazier by the day.
Never to be left out, God's original favorite prophet Gerald Flurry, is now claiming that it could possibly happen by the end of this year!

You know the story. The record has been stuck in this same groove for 50 some years now.
Europe will soon rise up with 10 nations, led by Germany, who will declare war upon the United States, decimating 1/3 of its population, another 1/3 will die from famine and disease, and the remaining citizens will be thrown into concentration camps or shipped off to Europe to be the slaves of Germany. This, of course, is after all true believers miraculously fly from all around the world into Jordan where the government will welcome everyone with open arms and will personally drive them to Petra where they will make the desert bloom again...after they finish fighting over just who will be in control.
In the meantime, James Malm will be in Pella all ticked off that only 10 of his followers decided to join him. With all of them elderly and infirm, who will put food on James table as he labors all day long reinterpreting the Bible?
And yet, COG prophets expect us to believe them when they all pussyfoot around with the "could be's" and "may be's."

When I see headlines like that I think, will it be Malm? Thiel? a lesser COGle? Okay this time it's GF. I remember the other day there was a prophetic gumfight (I guess for GF, it was at the OK COG). Yes, it was our own Dr Bob who explained why GF was wrong - not enough prerequisite events have occurred! (not enough wiggle room).

The "Holy Roman Empire" has nothing to do with prophecy. The TRUE Roman Empire is alive and well today.

That is so true. That so-called "Beast Chart" is very flawed but people, like some I know in the United Ass., still have faith in that Chart. Some hirelings still preach using it

That is a whole bunch of speculation, on your part.
Rome, according to Revelation 17:10, is the 6th head (that "one is," which was in existence when John penned the Book of Revelation) of the Beast.
The first 6 heads interacted with physical Israel. Then there is a gap. Why? Spiritual Israel, God's Church, would come into existence and Satan would then focus on attempting to destroying it and prevailing against it, rather than tear at physical Israel. We have the history of 70 AD.
The 7th and 8th heads of the Beast won't exist until after Satan exits the pit beyond that millennium, that Mickey Mouse Millennium where so many still think Jesus Christ will be reigning on earth. Well, if that was true, then where was Jesus when Satan exited the pit (Rev 20) to again cause worldwide deception and people again learn war? He is not around reigning on earth to prevent that deception/war from happening.

You will have a long wait for that to happen as Armageddon is part of the 6th Vial, which are not poured out as part of God's wrath until AFTER Satan exits the pit.
