L Ron Hubbard and Aleister Crowley were friends of Jack Parsons (founder of JPL) who had a house on South Orange Grove Blvd called The Parsonage, where they took drugs and practiced satanism and devil worship.

Most Christians churches today are a Pharisaic subculture. Watching the various tele-evangalists, it becomes obvious that they steal doctrines and abusive ploys from each other. I've even heard ACOGs ministers use the same words and body language as some tele-evangalists. They all shun rights and assertiveness, replacing them with blind obedience to their despotic leaders.
Abraham lincoln was a keen bible reader, but refused to attend church services, claiming that what the churches taught and what was written in the bible was very different. Some things never change.
Yet Pasadena still remains the home of the late J. Vernon McGee's broadcasts. While I don't agree with everything he taught, he tried to be scripturally grounded.
