LCG Friday Night Smackdown: Are you thankful for the "truth" LCG has?

LCG members always are presented as a people who are never thankful for anything, particularly when it comes to the church. Satan is so powerful that he is constantly blinding some LCG members to the "truth".

Christ is coming back, but only to usher in a magical kingdom, never having to discuss again what his ministry on earth was doing and what the crucifixion/resurrection accomplished. Normal Christians understand that but now so much the LCG.

Far too many LCG members seem to forget their goal is to be gods and goddesses in that magical kingdom. This is the truth that so many do not understand.

What is that "truth"? It is not what they think it is.

Are You Thankful for the Truth? The Sabbath is a good time to thank God for the tremendous privilege we have been given to understand the Truth—that there is a real God who is guiding the course of history (Daniel 2:21; 4:17), there is a real purpose for life (1 John 3:1–3), and the true Gospel is that Jesus Christ is coming back to bring peace and justice to the earth in the Kingdom of God (John 14:3; Isaiah 9:6–7). Few today know that those who are called now to be saints will reign with Christ in the Kingdom of God and play a major role in changing the world in the years ahead (Daniel 7:27; Acts 3:19–21; Revelation 5:10). This capacity to understand the Truth is a gift that God is making available to only a few (1 Corinthians 1:26). However, Satan has blinded the rest of the world to these important and wonderful truths (2 Corinthians 4:3–4). Are you thankful for the opportunity to understand these Truths that have been hidden from the world?
Have a profitable Sabbath, Douglas S. Winnail

Doug, I'm just as thankful for the truth as I was in May 2006, May 2011, and June 2019. And I am thankful that when I listen to you, I won't ever need to worry about ears itching to hear something new. Except when you come up with new doctrines, of course!

“The truth” as in whatever conservative media has been slinging this week? That sort of truth? Because that’s all I can expect to hear in most LCG sermons.

Exactly, 4:22! We knew all about fake news decades ago! it was anything that came from outside the org. The truth was whatever had the stamp of approval of God's ministurds. When did you find out about the truth?

Actually it's God that has blinded and hardened to a point, mankind's heart to the truth. Satan tags along, but he's not the author.

It seems to me that they have nothing new to say so they keep repeating the same old basic stuff again and again. Not what I would call growing in knowledge. Repeating grade one over and over will never make you a graduate.

When people say they want the truth, it really means they want more of what they already believe. It rarely means they are willing to question their fundamental assumptions, like how we really got the Bible in the first place.

Well, nowadays, anyone who does not agree with Biden, the new Stalin, is an extremist. Get ready to watch the LCG go off to a concentration camp.

Doug, driven by another spirit, wrote: "...and the true Gospel is that Jesus Christ is coming back to bring peace and justice to the earth in the Kingdom of God (John 14:3)..." AND THAT "...saints will reign with Christ in the Kingdom of God and play a major role in changing the world in the years ahead..."

******

So, Doug, let's look at the words of John 14:3. Words Doug did not find significant enough to write out for us to read. Were you hoping we wouldn't bother looking up all of those scriptures you quoted? Is Doug also blind, spiritually speaking?

John 14:3 (The Message)

And if I’m on my way to get your room ready, I’ll come back and get you so you can live where I live.

Okay, Doug, where did Jesus go? Is "your room ready" yet? I personally don't even care for your Message translation of that verse. What does the AKJV, with some additional context, say?

John 14:2 "In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also."

Where did Jesus go? Jesus went to third Heaven to prepare something, relative to His Father's house, for those who will make up His Bride in a future time.

Does Doug remember what we were taught back in the former WCG days about those mansions?

From a transcript of the "Christ's Second Coming" series, it was stated: "Now, the Church would always say: “...Well! Those are positions! Those are authorities, positions and offices! Yes, we’re going to have all of these positions and offices! Boy we’re going to rule! Ooh, it’s going to be wonderful!” It was always self; wasn’t it? It’s always self!

No, that’s not what it says. Look it up. Look up the word! It says: in my Father’s house are many mansions. The word mansions is: staying residences. Staying residences! Not a Hotel! Not a boarding house! Staying residences..."

Then what, Doug? After the saints meet Christ in the clouds, we were taught that we all return to earth to reign for 1,000 years, then Satan exits the pit to "beat out" Christ and the saints in the Jerusalem area. What's Mickey Mouse about that?

After that get together in the clouds, then what? Where did Christ go?

Here, Doug (or, any interested), you look up Psalm 110:1, and Hebrews 10:12-13, and I could give another dozen verses showing that Jesus Christ will remain at the Father's right hand until God, The Father, makes all of His enemies a footstool.

Doug, do you want to be thankful about truth? God does not share your theory on His truths, nor your timing. There is a reason Jesus Christ, in truth, has not "very soon" returned to reign on earth for 1,000 years with a bunch of ministerial “little helpers of HWA and JWT Sn?” Doug, like so many other hirelings of the former WCG, has been snared and deceived into believing God’s Kingdom on earth is going to happen a lot sooner than God has already planned it out.

When will Doug look at the remaining fingers on his hand to see his own blindness, some shame of his nakedness, and lack of truth (Or, would Rod and Weston say “full truth?”), and stop pointing his finger at his followers for being unthankful for truth?

Time will tell...

John

So if Doug Winnail's pet doctrine is that the great falling away is the world writing off anything religious and morals, then how does LCG's teaching that the mark of the beast is Sunday worship fit into that? What am I missing here? After Doug's the great falling away the world won't even care about worshiping God, let alone on a Sunday. When I ask my LCG comrades they either do not understand or else they become frightened.

The level of shrill hysteria that went into this post you made is even further out there than most of the COG’s craziest folks.
