Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse!! Bob is not indwelled by the Holy Spirit, and as a result, cannot discern good from evil, truth from lies and Christianity from witchcraft.
Everything folks have been saying on Banned has been verified by the horrendous situation in Africa, the ever shrinking membership, the level of misdeeds occurring in the leadership, etc. And yet. Bob ignores it all, flaps his gums about "church hierarchical governance" and the proof of his effectiveness as a leader are plain for all to see. He is, was and will continue to be a fraud, unless he repents, apologizes and becomes a Christian. Will he ever learn? Will he ever grow up? Will he ever be a man? Probably not, possibly, but I doubt it and hell no, respectively.
Shouldn't a genuine prophet have seen all this coming? Banned is a better prophet than Bob! They called it years ago and he is still in denial the whole thing is actually happening.
Perhaps Doctor Thiel is viewed as a WITCH DOCTOR amongst the Africans, or perhaps even Doctor Doolittle and can talk to the animals??

Dr. Thiel's main business is selling herbal potions. That probably gives him special credibility with his African witch-doctor ministers.

I would seriously wonder if people who wrote such letters could even understand the Armstrong half a gospel.
I don't think any of the CCOG leaders in Africa even have a basic understanding of Church of God beliefs. I have a feeling that most go to Church and continue on with COG7 or Adventist beliefs and just take the money from fake prophet Bob Thiel.
He has no organization to check up on what is happening in Africa or the reported corruption other than asking the people involved with corruption " Are you Corrupt?" which they would answer back "No beloved brother please send us more money so we can fight these accusations"
At least the WCG had people in Africa to oversee and had an actual office set up so that they could control the money etc..
Wow the tiniest Prophet in the history of the Church really can't see anything that is happening. I thought I read about this situation in Africa the other day in a Catholic Prophecy. Bob must have missed that one.
During my time in the cult, the WCG African activities were centered mostly in Apartheid-era South Africa. South Africa was a majority-black nation governed by the white European settlers whose families had lived there since colonial times. Considering that history, it was much easier for a white organization from the USA to oversee what they had put together. I remember C. Wayne Cole's farewell sermon just prior to his being sent over there to raise up a church and run the offices in Africa. He quipped that it might have an entirely different meaning when some of the brethren said "We'd like to have you over for dinner!"
I just get the feeling that many of the experienced evangelistic organizations who target Africa realize that they will encounter some corruption as they do their work, but that in the end feel that it is worth it for the real, the ones who are reached and who "get it", that being defined as leading a life consistent with what the evangelists teach them. I don't know the extent of Bob Thiel's understanding of Africa, or evangelism in Africa, but when you start as a grifter with your own academic credentials, and make claims about the size and importance of your church and work based largely on unverifiable numbers of African members, the optics are going to raise questions. It makes it appear to outsiders that perhaps a grifter is working with grifters in symbiosis. Mysticism, and dreams which appear superstitious, and are used to substantiate your ordination as a prophet and leader arouse additional suspicion. How could one even begin to correct this? I don't believe you can.
