Ron Dart on why BobThiel CANNOT be Elijah

We discovered proof as to why The Great Bwana Bob Mzungu to Africa and 100 Caucasians CANNOT be Elijah. He is too wimpy to ride a Harley (Thanks Ron Dart)!

What will the end-time Elijah look like in appearance? In 2 Kings 1:8 Elijah is described as a hairy man. In an excellent sermon called “The Ten Words” on the importance of evangelising our children Ron Dart gave his opinion that, like John the Baptist, the end-time Elijah would be a rough individual still to come on the scene and possibly be rough in appearance as both Elijah and John the Baptist are often portrayed and, who knows, could come out of left field driving a Harley. This reminded me of the Tribe of Judah church near my home at the time that had many bikers in it. I’d joke that there was a rival group called the Tribe of Benjamin formed after a doctrinal clash over what motorcycle Jesus would ride. Roger Waite

HaHa! Bob's lucky if his feet even hit the ground when sitting on the saddle.

Elijah sounds like a man's man, hairy, strong, rough, and masculine (how I like my man). That does not describe Bob at all.

This is great! This is why I love this blog so much!!!!!!!!!

Just imagine Bob and his tiny legs and feet trying to hold up an 800 pound Harley. It would make a great comedic scene.

People posted Ron's quote on one of the old forums, as an inquisitive suggestion to me. My comment was "Sorry, I'll Pass!"

One of the reasons I was vehemently opposed to becoming a minister while I was an AC student, was that I had witnessed and experienced the pain diligent members' children go through, and the constant mental turmoil members experience "knowing" what was going to be happening to the people in the US and BC. There was also that constant state of limbo, members not knowing on a daily basis, whether they would qualify for the place of safety. It was also clear that once the ministers were no longer restrained by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, they would revert to Old Testament laws, and there would be stonings and other draconian punishments in Petra. Imagine Bob Thiel or Dave Pack with unbridled power!

So, there was no way that I was going to teach the HWAcaca, spreading it, and inflicting it on any more innocents. Let them enjoy their lives as I wished I could have, (and did after leaving!). Better that whatever came on them hit without warning, kind of like a fatal traffic accident, and they came up in the second rez. If I had to be a king or priest administering Armstrongism, I surely did not want the "better" resurrection, either!

Now, I realize that for the most part, Armstrongism was totally bogus. The die hard wannabe leaders are proving that on a daily basis.

BB,

If it is any bike I would say it would be a Triumph.

Byker Bob, your post was spot on. I was a minister in WCG for 20 plus years. I left in 1995. It took me awhile to realize Armstrongism was and is a cult. I am glad my wife and I were in agreement on walking away. I am glad to see a post from you. Its been a long time. Hope your doing well in your printing business.

Bob is awfully rough; just look at his curtains and his flailing arms. "Rough" can mean "unpolished to the point of dorkiness" and doesn't have to mean "hairy biker rough."

Would Jesus need to wear a helmet??

Since you admitted that you have gone through a few wives and more girlfriends, it sounds like they all eventually came to see that your own BBcaca that you inflicted on them was not exactly the road to eternal happiness for them either.

Some people leave the cult but the cult does not leave them.

@Jim, 2:14. Thanks Jim. Good to hear from you, too! All is well here, as I hope it is for you. Please know that any critiques I make in my posts about the ministers do not apply to you. You've always been one of the good guys!

Anonymous @ 2:11: Triumphs are right in there! I built a bunch of them back in the '80s before switching to Harley.

Since you are a commandment breaker, why are you casting the first stone? God says you are a commandment breaker throughout scripture.

Nobody actually cast any stones. That feature is not yet available on these texting sites. You are just making up stuff.

Well, 6:06, I was going to just sign off, and go back to anonymous mode, but can't resist sharing what made me laugh uproariously at your latest comment.

1) What? You've never broken a commandment?

2) In the inimitable wisdom of the Armstrongs, I plead the "King David" defense. So, I had a few Bathshebas along the way, 'cept they were Latinas. Much more sensual.

3) In Armstrongism, the Old Covenant is the predominant one, the one to be used as the filter. The patriarchs were permitted to have multiple wives, and concubines.

4) Those wives and girl friends were twenty years ago. I've repented. Plus, the chicks kind of dug it and were the same kind of freewheeling personalities as I was. No harm, no foul. But, thanks so much for reminding everybody of my past sins. You've enhanced my street cred with the young ones who visit us here from the cults!

I could bore you with three more bullet points to make the classic HWA 7, but will let you get back to your Bud Light!

According to the twisted thinking and reasoning of some sinners, this Blog is guilty of “casting stones” by pointing out some of the faults -- “real and imagined” (but mostly real) -- of false prophets like Gerald Flurry and David Pack and pedophiles like Kevin Dean, even though no stones at all are actually involved. If you don't like vicious false prophets or pedophiles, they will say that you are a sinner too.

Did God permit the patriarchs to have multiple wives and concubines? Yes, since God permits everyone to sin. They broke God's laws and suffered the penalties. In the case of Solomon, his one thousand wives robbed him of the ability to be faithful to God's way, resulting in him morally falling away. In the case of David, his three hundred concubines morally weakened him, resulting in the soap opera of Bathsheba, murder, his son Absalom rising up against him and his death.
The moral of the story is to keep it in your pants.

It is great to hear from Byker Bob directly and not in anonymous mode. It doesn’t leave the readers guessing whether or not it is him publishing anonymously. I hope all is well Byker. Some of us were concerned about you during your long absence from publishing under your Byker Bob moniker. Richard
