Aaron Dean Responds To Comments

The following was sent to Dennis. I am more than happy to post this and also deleted comments directed towards Aaron. There will be NO COMMENTS allowed in response to this post in order to keep it civil. Due to Google's method of posting comments can be done anonymously and cannot be attached to a name unless people want to use their name.

I just finished reading about Kevin on Banned by HWA and saw comments about myself. Your name is listed but do you know who hosts this site as I would like the slanderous comments about me removed. 

 

I can prove they are false...some factual errors: I never went to camp as a camper or staff, even though I was promised by Dr. Lochner each year for 5 years but because ministers kids came in they took my spot. (one exception, the HWA fly in/fly out to speak and leave, so anything there couldn't happen. 

 

I wasn't ordained till late 1979 so I couldn't have given a sermon in 1978 for someone to 'remember', or anytime near that since I was with HWA 365 days a year and didn't give sermons till after he died with a couple rare exceptions and they were historical travel related...so I couldn't give the sermon this person talks about. (And never have given any sermon on 'self love'. ) I never said to 'my members' cause I didn't have any members. I also never said I was promiscuous as a youth to anyone. Interesting that one said I wasn't a pedophile, even though they said I was having sex all over because of my position. Of course, my wife traveled with me so my inability to do any of this is provable. None of it has any basis in fact or truth, yet follow up comments show they are believed. I would like these anonymous posts removed, or at least the posters anonymity removed. 

 

I understand anger and hate, but that does not mean anyone can make up things they wish to believe with created 'facts' that sound reasonable but are absolute falsehoods. It is interesting that Rader, in 1980 when I witnessed against him after I wouldn't accept a 6 figure offer to shut up, did a slander campaign with all his money and getting people to write falsehoods because they owed him (Jack Kessler) could not find a moral charge, yet if what these people state had any basis at all he would, by these posts, have had tons of material to destroy my testimony. Interesting Rader's often stated comment, "throw enough mud, some of it will stick". The only accurate statement is that Kevin was my brother. (We had totally separate jobs and he left the church 35 years ago. I guess I am the Virgin Mary in reverse. I cheated without ever cheating - before or after marriage. 

 

Sites should be responsible for the posts they allow, and either bear responsibility to remove false statements or give the names so all can see they are not in a position to have facts or have them prove their statements, which of course they can't., and face any legal charges. 

 

Anyway I would like to put the site on notice about allowing and posting this slander. Aaron

 

ps. I have had close friends who have known me since my youth and directed me to these comments express their sorrow for what is written when seeing these lies. and the availability of this garbage on social media for my kids and grandkids.

While I would agree a lot of people heard GTA as 1st contact, it was the writings of HWA that convincted them.

I cannot agree that "others had a vested interest in keeping them apart".  From 1980 to 86, I answered the phone when Ted called, and I would ALWAYS tell HWA that Ted was calling, and he always called the home, not the office.  Always his statement was (and GTA heard it as I held the phone up and would ask if he heard his father.) "He knows what he has to do". All GTA had to do was write a simple letter to his father so he would know it would not be a shouting match if he did talk to him, and GTA would not do that.  It served GTA's purpose better to say he was being kept away by others. After every call was an interview within a day or two where GTA would say "I was cut off from speaking to my father", or "I tried yesterday to call and my father won't speak to me."  It was frustrating for me cause I would ask why don't you write the letter.

Stan Rader would have had an interest in keeping them apart, but that doesn't explain 1980 to his death in 1986 when Stan was gone. (Actually SRR had an interest in keeping HWA away from Pasadena in the 70's, not just away from GTA. But GTA had an interest in keeping HWA away from Pasadena as well - because the college was falling apart.) GTA used the estrangement for PR with the press, and with his church. (When meeting with CGI - they told me they were in the room when GTA made the calls, and only would say "See, cut off again". They were never told what HWA or I said, or that GTA had actually heard his father's voice.

I talked to GTA at HWA's funeral, and he admitted that I had never cut him off. I had always liked GTA since I knew him from the time I was 4 years old. I even flew with him when his father had the heart attack and GTA used the G-II.  I bear no ill toward him, but that part of the statement below is inaccurate.

He was never convicted of a crime.
However, there were those inside and outside the church who were criminals and had a vested interest in making sure that Garner Ted and his father were kept apart permanently and that Garner Ted's reputation was destroyed in order to take down the Church of God.

The Rapid Fall of HWA's Golden Boy (Updated)

The Painful Truth has a post up from a step daughter of Kevin Dean referring to his arrest on September 27th for 10 counts of child molestation and five counts for sexual battery.

Kevin Dean was one of HWA's highly favored confidants as was his brother Aaron Dean (UCG hierarchy).  When these two spoke the people in Pasadena jumped.  They first got their start with HWA as stewards on the church jet planes.  The female stewardess had been dumped because of GTA's sexually offenses against them.  They figured men serving as stewards would solve the problem.

Controversy has always swirled around Pasadena about Kevin.  When he was part of Imperial schools rumors were rampant about his dalliance's with students.  He ungraciously dumped his first wife for a girl from Imperial Schools.

Then we had heard he moved to Santa Barbara to get away from the rumors and accusations.

It was very obvious now that Rader was calling the shots and that he had put the fear in HWA. He would continue to do so until the Dean bros (according to the AR) managed to tape a conversation between Rader and Ramona in which they were discussing placing HWA in a nursing home and taking over the church. Statements in the AR (Jan '83) read-"Those close to Ted, however, feel his distrust of Ramona was quite justified. Many observers are convinced she was more loyal to Stan Rader than to HWA. And as we reported in a previous issue, it was a secret tape recording of a Stan Rader-Ramona conversation taped by the Dean brothers [former stewards on the GII] that was responsible for the sacking of Stan Rader. Insiders claim that it was also that tape recording that was responsible for the Herbert-Ramona marriage going sour." Aaron Dean went on to become HWA's assistant, replacing Bob Fahey.

Actually, the recording would not have worked if the blackmail had still been in Rader's possession at the time the tape was played. To interject here-Rader had carefully placed college maintenance men in the highest ministerial positions after Ted's disfellowshippment AR 10-'79 http://hwarmstrong.com/ar/AR10.html) which included Tkach and Ellis LaRavia. Were they the only control over the ministry he could get? Most were not very well educated. Tkach did not even have a high school diploma and had been unable to pass any of his college academics at AC.

The Armstrong leadership was no longer in control of the Armstrongite ministry that had been trained by HWA. The regular evangelists, such as Rod Meredith, Herman Hoeh, etc. lost their high position in authority when Tkach was put in charge of the ministry in '79. Many were disfellowshipped (ie, Dave Antion, C. Wayne Cole, etc.).

This would not have happened if Ted had been under Rader's influence, because Rader did not seek the top religious position. He just wanted to be in control of the money. But with Ted gone, he knew that he had to place his myrmidons in positions of control, in order to maintain control of the money when HWA died. He obviously knew where every dime was in all those corporate soles that were scattered out to other states, as well as in the thirteen bank accounts listed under HWA's name.

According to Ted's booklet, HWA had been afraid of being "placed in a mental institution" ("Origin" pg. 67)"He was becoming paranoid about plots against him" (same pg). This accusation is also repeated in DLA's tape "'79 Disfellowshippments and Firings." along with the fact that C. Wayne Cole (the then head of the ministerial dept.) was consulted by HWA about how to go about firing Rader. Of course the loyal Cole tried to help HWA and was stabbed in the back as a result. This information is available on David Antion's taped message, "79 Firings and Disfellowshippments"

After the Dean bros. tape, HWA was able to fire Rader himself (with pay of course, because he knew too much to just get rid of him). But by this time Tkach (whom Ted refers to in his booklet as "one of our former gardeners, who had risen, for some unknown reason, to be in my father's circle of trusted confidants." Origin pg 56) apparently took charge of HWA's ministry and his empire. Did he steal the blackmail? Did the Dean bros?

One of Kevin's smear campaigns also led to the famous Kessler letter.
