Sheldon Monson Disfellowships and Mark's Own Family Member

Trouble is already brewing in the Church of God Assembly with Sheldon Monson disfellowshipping his own family member.

The biggest blessing a COG member could ever receive is to be disfellowshipped from the COG. The day that happens you are free from the madness that is the COG.

Church of God Assembly

Sheldon C. Monson, Pastor, announced 8th of January 2022:

We are saddened to announce that Daryl Monson has been marked for cause. We pray he will repent and change soon so that he can be restored to fellowship and membership in the Church.
According to Scripture an individual must be “marked” for causing strife or division among members because not doing so will destroy the faith of others.

Romans 16:17 states: “Now I beseech you brethren, Mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned and avoid them.” COGNews

Is Sheldon Monson Losing Members After Contracting COVID?

But really, I am not...

Things don't look too pretty for Sheldon Monson's Church of God Assembly right now. A source just revealed that Monson went to the hospital recently for pneumonia. It then emerged that it was most likely COVID.

Apparently, those LCG members who jumped ship when he split from LCG over its COVID precautions are not too enthralled with him. Some have left for other COG groups.

Maybe that is the reason he has this up as the lead on his web site:

Losing members means less money and what would a good Church of God splinter leader do without money?

Another sermon Monson has up is about the proverbial topic of church government. Nothing about Jesus or what his salvational works accomplished but a lot of crap on how important it is for members to know they must follow government, from the top down.

All right I want to get into the Sermon here today. I want to cover a topic that might not be popular with some, but this isn't a popularity contest. I feel we need to speak the truth no matter what, regardless of the outcome and so I am going to cover a topic that's not been covered by some for a while. But it's a very important topic and several people have discussed this topic with me in recent months. And we live in a time in human history at the end of the age where there is very little respect for authority (Including in the COG movement!). And today I want to talk about government and the Church and what God's form of Church government is and I think that this is something that will be a review for most of you, but for others it may seem a bit self-serving that I'm the guy giving the message on government and that's OK. You can think what you want, we're going to cover what the Bible says.

Nothing like starting a sermon off by being all pissy over people's perceived reactions. Stupid members can never do anything right! What's the point of attending church anymore if all you are going to get is one browbeating after another?

Another source said that none of these leaving Monson's group went to Bob Thiel. Had to laugh at that one.

Any more info available?

Living Church of God To All Ministers - Satan Is Using Sheldon Monson And Others To Disrupt The Work of God!!!!!!

Sheldon Monson's Church of God Assembly is having a bigger impact upon LCG than they publicly admit. Their continual lashing out at Monson only raises red flags for LCG members.

Dear Fellow Ministers,

I want to write to you concerning a matter that has been stirred up by some individuals who have chosen to leave the LCG for a new group started by Sheldon Monson. They have lifted a phrase out of one of our online documents that they say shows that the LCG condones abortions—which we simply do not, and never have.

The phrase is taken from the “Statement of Faith” on our MyLCG website. This document does not replace or supersede the Official Statement of Fundamental Beliefs. The “Statement of Faith” is a targeted explanatory document intended to support the Church’s position on specific moral issues in the increasingly litigious environment that exists today. Recent court cases involving religious organizations and aggressive secular government regulation point to the need for ensuring that the Church is prepared for such challenges, even as it relies on God’s protection.

The phrase in the “Statement of Faith” simply acknowledges that there are rare and tragic situations where, without intervention—either divine or medical—both mother and child are at serious risk of dying. These rare situations are to be addressed by the individuals involved (mother and father) in conjunction with their pastor if he is involved. These are individual decisions. The phrase that is quoted from the “Statement of Faith,” does not, in any way, suggest or indicate that the LCG endorses or gives support to the modern practice of elective abortions.

The public position of the Church since at least the 1970s under Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong has been that accepting medical treatment in rare circumstances is not to be equated with elective abortions of convenience that the world presses for today. The Church has never taught that a mother must refuse life-saving treatment in these circumstances. Many of you who have counseled heartbroken families in such tragic circumstances are aware of the distinction.

Our detractors seem intent on seizing whatever issues they feel they can use to misrepresent the LCG in an attempt to justify their rebellion and the creation of yet another organization. This is not the first time this kind of divisive action has been attempted.

A more detailed clarification will be posted on the MyLCG website. If you have any questions about this issue, please contact CAD.

We are certainly living in interesting times as Satan continues his efforts to disrupt the Work of God—especially in light of the very positive developments in the Work in recent months. We need to be praying for each other and for our brethren who are at risk of being caught up in these manufactured and misguided controversies. Your faithful service in this way is very much appreciated, both by the brethren and by all of us here.

Warm Regards,
Douglas S. Winnail

BREAKING: Sheldon Monson and Church of God Assembly Updates

Special News Delivery:

According to cog-assembly.org:

"October 3rd, 2020
There are a little less than 400 people in attendance for the only COGA US Feast site at Lake of the Ozarks."

COGwriter has also received a report detailing the number of individuals who attended the Feast with Monson:

"10/19/20 p.m. Received a report from an attendee at the COGA Feast of Tabernacles site at the Lake of the Ozarks. He stated that nearly 400 were in attendance and hundreds watched online. He said it went well and that there were a lot of families there."

In addition to that I heard Monson himself confirm that he possesses supporters outside the US in countries like Kenya and Trinidad and Tobago. He named a few other countries but I cannot remember their names. So from the information I have gathered, I believe there could be close to or around 500 members. Maybe more or less.

According to cog-assembly.org and another source:

Ministers who were or are with LCG, who are now (more than likely with Monson):

Todd Lawrence
Jason Fritts
Mike Kreyer
Larry Alverio
Mike Elertson (he might not be a minister anymore but I do not know for sure)
Randy Wayne

Other LCG employee's / workers of some sort (who as far as I know are or were not ministers):

Kevin Lee (Tomorrow's World announcer)
Marvin Hill (Deacon)
Darren Lee (accountant at LCG headquarter)
Skip Stephenson (married to a Scarborough daughter, and former LCG employee)
John Wheeler (guest writer for LCG)

Sheldon Munson at the Feast flashed this announcement:

"October 10th, 2020
Monson announces that COGA will run a two-week Teen Camp as well as a Preteen Camp next year."

Guess that's all for now. If I hear anything more I'll report it more than likely.

Best regards,

NDA

Why Are COG Members Such Nasty People At Times?

Church of God News had this tidbit up the other day. One thing for sure is it reinforces the fact that some COG members are outright nasty and spiteful people.

COG Assembly was obliged to move its venue for the Festival of Tabernacles away from the Margaritaville Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri, because the management staff there was being subjected to a stream of hateful telephone calls and e-mails about the church from other ‘christians’. COG Assembly was, however, able to arrange larger facilities elsewhere, yet at the same prices.

So, let's take a guess here as to who might be calling in to harass the staff at the Margaritaville Resort.

Was it Bob Thiel's group? Nah, highly doubt it as 99.99% of his members live in Africa and have never heard of Margaritaville.

Was it Philadelphia Church of God members? Doubt that too as they are waiting for a call from HQ that it is time to flee.

Could it possibly have been people from Restored Church of God? That's highly unlikely too as Christ is standing at their locked driveway gate waiting to be let in right now and besides, they have nothing "in common" with COG Ass.

Now just WHO could possibly be harassing Margaritaville staff?????????

Could it be Living Church of God members? Nah, there is no way it could be them since they are God's most perfect church doing the most amazing work and have no time for this kind of pettiness. They have weightier matters of the law to deal with, like how to dress properly.

I wonder just who it could be?

LCG Takes a Big Hit When Over 500 (?) LCG Members Defect To Sheldon Monson and Church of God Assembly

This is sure to make Gerald Weston happy! His pathetic actions backfired upon him greatly. Estimates of 500+ people have defected from the Living Church of God. This is a pretty significant amount of people and money if you estimate 10% in tithes leaving LCG for Sheldon.

News Delivery: I can't confirm or deny anything, but what I heard from Sheldon Munson on his private live stream today was interesting. From what I heard, it sounds like he took at least, at the bare minimum, 200 or so LCG members. He said several hundred have already signed up for his prospective Feast site in the USA. He also made note of several large groups he already has. He also mentioned people in Kenya watching his live stream. He referred to them as brethren so I'm guessing he now has supporters in Kenya. He said he appreciates them working with his particular group down the road. They probably broke away from LCG too I'm assuming. I know he visited Kenya around 2012 or 13 I believe. So the people who are supporting him more than likely know him personally. So if I were to take an educated guess I think Sheldon and his group he formed took away somewhere around the ballpark of 500 members. More than likely from LCG. What sad days for Charlotte as the truth comes to light.

Church of God Assembly Internet Sites

The first COG to not use a lion and lamb, a picture of Herbert Armstrong,
or the Ambassador Auditorium in their logo.

Last week Sheldon Monson announced the new name of his splinter group, Church of God Assembly

Sheldon or one of his followers did not do due diligence and research the name. There is already a church named that, based out of Middlesex/London, England, and pastored by Abigal Borquaye.

Soon after Monson mentioned his new church name, two different sites popped up on the internet. If these are actually pages for Sheldon's group then they need to steal some web designers from Living Church of God! Talk about pathetic!

I took screenshots of each page just in case they disappear soon.

This is the main site screenshot (double click to enlarge) or go to the main site here: Church of God Assembly

We know almost for sure that the site is fake. Imagine a Church of God using a WOMAN on its front page, particularly one holding a Bible! Blasphemy!!!!

The next page includes updates on this most amazing work:

Then, the best site of all is the Facebook page. It looks like a QAnon site:

The only comment on the Facebook site, so far, is that the lead graphic "...looks like Sun God."

Why do all of these Church of God groups set themselves up to be mocked so easily?

My hat is off to whoever grabbed the domain names before Sheldon did. This is too funny.

Thanks, Gerald Weston! This is all your fault!
