Elijah is Back in Our Midst! The greatest Church of God ever to exist in human history is now led by the REAL Elijah

It is a well established fact that Herbert Armstrong was not Elijah.  Dave Pack certainly is not Elijah, considering the multitude of failed prophecies that have poured out from his lips.  Gerald Flurry thinks he is Elijah, but his failed prophecies make him a liar too.  Meredith is out of the picture now after decades of false prophecies and outright lies as his life is rapidly coming to an end.  So who does that leave?  Who is the Elijah that is here at the end of the age to warn the world to repent and return to "the truth restored?"

That great prophet lives in Arroyo Grande along the central coast of California.  This Elijah is the leader of the only COG who is doing a world circling end-time ministry preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God, returning the hearts of the children to their fathers, healing the sick, and uplifting the poor, and preparing the bride for the soon coming holiday trip to Petra where he will share the place with Dave Pack, Gerald Flurry, Rod Meredith and Vic Kubik.

Almost Arrested Elisha, Joshua, Amos, Elijah, 1st Witness Bob Thiel is back once again attempting to prove he is the chosen one.  This time he uses Don Billingsley's latest farce of an ad in The Journal to discredit HWA while setting himself up as the chosen one.

Billingsley has been running numerous ads over the last two decades attempting to prove HWA was Elijah.  Almost Arrested Elijah Thiel takes great exception to Billingsley's beliefs.  HWA is dead and the work still needs to be finished in the end-time, assuming of course that this present time is the end of the age.
Notice that the Elijah is to come just before the great and terrible day of the LORD, and if he did not come, utter destruction would occur.
Herbert W. Armstrong died in January 16, 1986.
Since Don Billingsley said to look to the book the Mystery of the Ages, let’s see what Herbert W. Armstrong actually wrote about the timing of the final Elijah:
Also Malachi 4:5-6 pictures the Elijah to come at the very end of the Church age (Mystery of the Ages. 1985, p. 349).
When did Herbert W. Armstrong write that the Church age was over? Notice:
At the end of the Church age and 6,000 years from Adam, Christ would return to earth as King of kings and Lord of Lords, ruling all nations, with the saints, for one millennium. (Armstrong HW. What If Adam Had Taken of the Tree of Life? Plan Truth, March 1983)
The “very end” of the Church age was not over 30 years ago! The 6000 years has NOT yet been fulfilled. Since the “very end of the Church age” has not happened, and he died decades ago, his writings support that there must be another Elijah. And he was referring to an individual in the Mystery of the Ages.
Elijah Thiel wants everyone of you to know that Herbert Armstrong, on his death bed, claimed that there was an Elijah to come.  Two guesses as to who he was predicting!
This combined with what Herbert W. Armstrong wrote in The Mystery of the Ages and the length of time since his death demonstrates that Herbert W. Armstrong could not biblically be the final prophesied Elijah.
Elijah continues:
Presuming Jesus will return within the next couple of decades, then that ‘Elijah’ would need to be alive now. And he would be part of the church that places the highest priority on the truth.
Yet, most Christians seemingly refuse to accept that.
Two guesses as to who that person who "is alive now" is...
Since the Bible does teach that there will be an ‘Elijah’ who is alive right before Jesus returns (Malachi 4:5-6), thus it is not possible that Herbert W. Armstrong was the prophesied final Elijah.
We in the Continuing Church of God are regularly restoring more truth about church history, doctrine, and prophecy. And we have done this more, by far, than any other group in the 21st century (COG or otherwise for that matter).
Elijah is also setting himself up as one of the two witnesses because he is "a REAL follower of God."
Also consider that any who have already died are not relevant regarding all things to be restored just before the Day of the Lord–only one alive then (who would also be alive now) can possibly fulfill the Elijah role to increase knowledge and restore all things. It is not that others cannot add to knowledge, but what was to be restored in the end has to come from someone who is a real follower of God who is alive at the end. Growth of Christian knowledge did not end by January 16, 1986.
Consider also that the Bible indicates that it is likely that the ‘Elijah’ will be one of the two witnesses.
Almost arrested Elijah Thiel feels those who refuse to follow him or believe him are just more proof that the end is here. Scoffer's will abound in the end times.
Now, as Jesus is likely to return within the next couple of decades, it is reasonable to consider that the witnesses, including the one who is the Elijah would be alive today.
The problem is that just as many would not hear Elijah’s nor John the Baptist’s messages, relatively few will pay much attention to the end time Elijah as well.
Over the last 80 some years the church has been flooded with one lying false prophet after another.  Not a single one of them was or is Elijah.  Bob Thiel is no more an Elijah than Dave Pack is.  Thiel is just another fraudulent liar that everyone in the church needs to avoid at al costs!

Too funny! Last one in a long line of people crying wolf! Hey, Bob! The other fakers have already preconditioned your potential listener pool to tune you out. Something about it already having failed dozens of times.

At least Henry's earthquake is a unique and different take on end times prophecy.

Why do the majority of the wannabe ACOG prophets stick to the old HWA mold that has already failed multiple times? You'd think a "doctor" would be examining the reasons behind these failures and making major revisions rather than just tuning up the timeline!

Pack had 130 reasons why he was Elijah, one of them was that he had an Elijah Cup! Does Bob have 131 reasons, and where is his cup?

My bible days that it's God who exalts a person to ore eminence. These people are trying to exalt themselves. This is comical with its 'I am too, I am too the end time Elijah.'

Dr. Bob is not fit to be a pimple on Elijah's ass!

Have Mr. Thiel, Pack, Weinland, Meredith or his replacement, Flurry, etc get together on a mountain or plain and cry out to God to slay/fry/ electrocute the false prophets, Elijah, 2 or 3 witnesses among them. If nothing happens, everyone can go home and tell the brethren we are all false prophets and don't support us.

Im not sure if its "Elijahs Cup", but my son has a cup, and he wears it at his little league games!

How dare Bob Thiel argue against "MOTA" (Mystery of the Ages). MOTA itself says it is "The Most Important Book Written in the Last 1900 Years"! Thats a big claim to top!

"Elijah is Back in Our Midst! The greatest Church of God ever to exist in human history is now led by the REAL Elijah," so says the title, but it is so ridiculous to even have such a thought.

This post concluded with saying: "...Over the last 80 some years the church has been flooded with one lying false prophet after another. Not a single one of them was or is Elijah. Bob Thiel is no more an Elijah than Dave Pack is. Thiel is just another fraudulent liar that everyone in the church needs to avoid at al costs!..."

One would think that nobody is reading their Bibles at all, for supposedly the Bible is the source for the leaders of these xcogs today.

Jesus Christ told us about Elijah. Jesus Christ told His disciples the following information after they asked about Elijah:

Matthew 17:10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

Was that enough information for Christ's disciples to understand all about Elijah?

Read on:

:13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

He da man! John the Baptist was the man! Why don't today's professing leaders understand that? The disciples got the point. It was John the Baptist. Has the Day of the LORD occurred yet? No, and John the Baptist already came!

Are today's xcog leaders believing in another Jesus? Another gospel? Another spirit? Even another Elijah?

Time will tell. Well, time has told and it is obvious as stated that: "...Over the last 80 some years the church has been flooded with one lying false prophet after another."

I don't know what else to say, except maybe........DUH!

DRC Delusions with religious content. This is psychiatric problem and one that seems to find root in the leadership of PCG (Flurry), RCG (Pack), LCG (Meredith), CCG (Thiel) and most of the smaller one man slivers. Seeing oneself spoken of in scripture as Flurry, Pack and Thiel seem to easily falls into this category. We tend to get used to in having had the HWA/WCG experience, but to most it is an obvious problem with no basis in fact or reality. It would be funny if it were not so unfunny and such a draw to the uncritically thinking and easily lead down the garden path types.

I'm laughing. Prior to 1975, HWA comparing himself to Elijah made sense to me. I really never bought into the apostle thing, though.

But now, with all that has happened, and with all that has not happened, the sheer number of people who are claiming to be specific Biblical characters, with self-exalting titles no less it's just side slappingly hilarious, particularly when we consider deficient educational backgrounds and poor oratorical skills. Do these people ever watch their own videos, or look into the mirror?

I think HWA would be embarrassed that they even claim to be carrying on his work. We know from his own words what he thought of Rod Meredith. What would he think of the lesser ones???

Just as everyone who ever rode a motorcycle secretly fantasized that it was a Harley, all the splinter leaders and broadcast presenters must fantasize that they are HWA.

There is no Church Age. Dispensationalism is false.
The judaizing/dispensationalist churches of god are very off kilter.

I like the 11:21 posting.
It distinghuishes between those with mental issues and those leaders who make sense making claims to be associated with historical figures,, therefore legitimizing their part in eternity.

It is certainly not a mental condition in certain cases of true leaders.
Actually there is no charisma without mythical identification and historical legitimization of the leader

Alexander the Great did not say, I act like Miltiades, he said I AM Miltiades.
Julius Ceasar did the same with Alexander the Great.
Look at the first scenes of the 1970 movie Patton.
Napoleon did not say I am like Charlemaigne. He said I am him.
Bill Clinton grasped on JFK's image.

There is a huge difference with those leaders that have not identified or legitimized themselves in a mythical way.

John Major, George Bush sr, Jimmy Carter?

Now it takes too far now to explain how the ego was wider and more inclusive toward mythical identification in the past for those leaders on a "romantic" mission. Today the ego is more strictly defined.

But even if I have no time to explain it further. I leave you today in the knowledge that you are very much able to discern those with mental issues, albeit I am not so sure that the rules for swaying entire populations through mythical leadership. identification and legitimization have changed. Especially not in dire (economic) circumstances. In politics sometimes we settle for a "manager".
But for when the time arises that warrants a "leader" I expect you to stand firm on the principles of peace and justice and those leaders that sacrifice greatly to achieve that aim.

"Just as everyone who ever rode a motorcycle secretly fantasized that it was a Harley..."

When I rode a harley it ran so bad that I secretly fantasized that it was a Honda.

Likewise, my neighbor who's harley cut out on him on the way to his wedding! He said it was a huge mistake to lean on harley's mystique without considering it's huge unreliability factor.

That's why some call them Hardley's. Where as a 1952 Vincent Black Lightning can border on a religious experience!

My bikes have always been reliable because I buy basket cases and rebuild and maintain them myself. It's always been a kind of a zen thing.

And, yes, any Vincent would be a close physical approximation to the holy grail although a bit too rich for my blood.

Ezechiel 1 is an apt description of the Goldwing experience.

Yes, you are one of those exceptions. Kind of like vintage muscle cars, awesome rides but not for the mechanical-impaired and their daily routines.
