I look at the schedule and just cringe having attended so many "inspiring" ministerial weekends, conferences (we weren't allowed to confer as far as recall) and Refreshers, which were exhausting.
Not sure they knew what LGBTQ meant at the time, but We did almost have a session on "Oral Sex: Is it right?" Marion McNair said as he started the session that he found the topic "distasteful" and that was pretty much the end of it because he couldn't control the laughter and it was taking too long to regain control.. The Pastor over the French church implored not to have the topic discussed or "ruled" upon because they'd lose the entire French Church.
As far as The US and BC. It might have been better offered as DNA and the US and BC in Prophecy. The Mormons are about to be forced by DNA studies to announce that the Book of Mormon is a "Spiritual" Fairy... story with great meaning for us today.

Mainstream Christianity has no problem acknowledging that the Vietnamese and the Americans are brothers. Only in Armstrongism is it cute and funny to suggest that these two groups of human beings, created in God's image, might be brothers.
It's been a while since I realized the errors in BI, and that it wasn't necessary in eschatology as COGs have claimed. Still, when I recently received the report on my own DNA, I was a little disappointed that I was found to be 0% Israelite.
