UCG Elder's Conference Discussed "The Great Compact"

Why is it that the amazing leaders of the Churches of God have to create new phrases in order to discuss subjects that Christians have understood for centuries?  The plan of salvation has always been known, except in the Church of God which has had to attach all kinds of rules and regulations in order for any ACOG member to qualify for it.

UCG held its Elder's Conference this past weekend in the spectacularly beautiful City of Cincinnati, Ohio.  This one topic stood out from the others as one of the more bizarre topics that they were lectured upon.

I assume this will be a discussion on salvation, but this, after all, is a Church of God where nothing is as it should be.

UCG, like the other ACOG's can't understand the plan of salvation because it still ignores Jesus in order to prostrate themselves at the altar of the law they have set up as their true idol.

The Compact
The greatest agreement ever made is still honoured and always will be. This great compact is forever, and the outcome is certain. It was made for our sake. We must know what it is, and how it impacts our lives individually and the church today. Understanding the mystery of this eternal compact allows us to assess where we are on the spiritual spectrum of God’s plan.
Are we on it? Is the path ahead clear to us upon whom the ends of the earth have come? When we properly understand the mystery of this great compact, it gives us the capacity to know where we are and who we are in the great plan of God. It is the heart of everything that is. (Bill Bradford)  Conference Brochure
If you want proof that this is a wierd topic just try Googling it.  It is a completely COG made up phrase.

Compact ?? Never heard of the expression. Is it the Australian word for covenant ? Was it a auto correct error ?

The problem is each splinter has to justify their existence by coming up with one or more reasons why they are different from all the other splinters.

UCG is full of evil liars but you should do a little more research before mocking otherwise you end up looking more foolish than them.

Search for "Mayflower Compact" you will see its a real thing.

UCG has problems but they didn't makeup this term.

I'm certain NO2HWA understands that a compact can be an agreement/covenant, but questions why this language is used when covenant is the term generally used on this topic. They change language perhaps to differentiate it from the new covenant? why?
It is also weird that UCG uses the word "mystery" (yes, it is used in the Bible). The "mystery" is generally explained in the same passage it is mentioned. But, now UCG will appear to have the answer to a mystery. Cool! Spooky! Inspired! Just, read your Bible folks.

It doesn't make sense or read correct Anon 5:12 if Bill Bradford meant The Mayflower Compact. The intro calls it the greatest agreement ever made. That it will last for eternity.

It's overpaid church leaders trying to justify their existence with confusing mumbo jumbo. Governments often exalt themselves by claiming to have special knowledge that their citizens lack.

This was not a lecture as British Israel topic was, it was titled the keynote address!! They could chose which lectures they attended but they had to listen to the key note address.

I think sarcasm is a less effective way to communicate. Sure they changed the wording to sound cool or mysterious or whatever. I agree with your assessment on this.

But why criticize goofy wring with more goofy writing? I thought this post was serious and now it seems a little childish.

The COGs are known for these kinds of shenanigans. This isn't outside their expected behavior.

I actually didn't intend sarcasm. I see where my parenthetical could appear that way, but since I was questioning their weird language and use of the word "mystery", I just meant to recognize that "mystery" was in fact in the Bible, But, UCG's usage is weird...

Jim, I agree UCG's writing is ridiculous. They are appearing desperate to become relevant... Or maybe at least maybe interesting. But it's a farce. I didn't mean your writing was sarcastic I meant the article was.

UCG is becoming a bit sad in its presentations. I learned that an LCG congregation in Canada was growing larger almost two hundred or so (I don't recall exactly) and half the people there had never heard of HWA. And that's LCG...

These men seem to be afraid of turning to the bible for material because they have too much experience with HWA's material... It this is a guess.
