Living Church of God's Richard Ames has a letter up to the faithful on the official LCG website. In that letter, he spouts the same nonsense that he has done for decades and it is the same thing Rod Meredith kept predicting to happen within 3-5 years for decades.
LCG has such an unhealthy focus on doom and destruction. It's like they want to see people die in order to be justified by their god for preaching such a warning. Rarely, if ever, do you hear Ames, Weston or many of LCG's ministers ever preach an entire sermon about Jesus and the things his death and resurrection accomplished. The focus is always on the law and rarely on the New Covenant, and when it is, it's a mixture of legalism and conditional grace. Unconditional grace irritates the hell out of COG leaders. How dare someone not of the Sabbath-keeping, clean meat eating, holy day keeping mold ever be blessed by God. How dare they! Especially when good COG leaders have made such an effort to keep the law.

Ezekiel’s “prophecy of thirds” gives us a sober warning: “One-third of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst; and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter another third to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them” (Ezekiel 5:12).
Do not misunderstand! God loves human beings (John 3:16) and the end-time Israelitish nations that are rebelling against Him. After they have gone into captivity and learned their lesson, God will return them to the Promised Land in a great “second Exodus” (Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 16:14-16; 23:7-8). The King of kings will restore these nations and establish world peace. We pray every day. “Your Kingdom come!” (Matthew 6:10). As Mr. Weston concluded in his June 2022 “Personal” in Tomorrow’s World magazine: “Keep watching—and keep reading Tomorrow’s World magazine!” (“An Existential Threat,” p. 3). The August 2022 edition of Tomorrow’s World magazine will post a circulation of 587,000. That is in spite of a vigorous renewal program that unsubscribes readers who do not contact us or renew their free subscription after about two years of receiving the magazine. LCG's marketing department could give this a more positive and contemporary spin if they'd point out that radical events such as these are what's needed to reverse global climate change, and to purge America of Trumpism. Of course, those attitudes are probably what's going to turn Europe against us in the first place. They're going to want to punish us for failure to participate in reversing climate change, and for selfishly moving forward with a nationalist "me first" attitude which jeopardizes the rest of the world.
HWA's message spread was aided by "the bomb". We have our own current existential threats which can be used very effectively.
Groan. Ames is more or less regurgitating Herbie's concoction that Ezekiel's warnings are for our time now because Ezekiel was already in captivity. But Ezekiel 5 is about Jerusalem - v.5 - which was not yet "smitten", until later - Eze 33:21, and, it will not happen again - v.9 - with the same intensity as described in the chapter. Nevertheless the scripture is inspired for various reasons - 2Tim 3:16.
Looks like ol' Basil was envisioning biological or genetic experiments as being part of the apocalypse. Herbie didn't preach about that, so BW must have been influenced a bit by Dr. Moreau as well!

I don't think the artwork featured here is from WCG literature. Wolverton did work for comic books in the 40's and 50's. This looks like something published during the horror comics era of the early 50's.

From what I have been told, Basil Wolverton was a pretty nice guy.
However, his caricatures in Mad Magazine, and church publications were pretty trippy. In the one pictured on the post, the mutant in the middle has a penis like structure sticking out, that has a HAND on the end of the appendage.

No, I think this one was used in 1975 in Prophecy? I remember a mutant drawing in there, though this one might not be the same one.
Many ministers crave the tribulation since they believe it will justify their abusive mis treatment of members over the decades. But where does the 'end justifies the means' belief appear in the bible? What one finds instead is the instruction to go down the narrow gate.
God's not going to accept their pathetic "but please understand Lord" cop out.
One thing that I've noticed in the Bible is that when there was a major event concerning God's people in world affairs, a man or a couple of men were in place to lead powerfully. Since this is a major event approaching, what happened to all those great ministers during this soon approaching tribulation. See the minister or ministers have to have the character that God wants and He displays His power through those ministers. All they have is the academic approach (and they really don't have all that correct).
Reality is making it increasingly difficult for COG prophets to cherry-pick news outlets for validation of a day that will never come. Just listen to the Steven Pinker TED Talk laying out the facts that there has never been a better time to be alive. When you reject the racism that the Germans are Assyrians and can't help themselves but go to war and commit genocide, it is easy to see that 77 years after Hitler blew his brains out, there are no imminent plans for a Fourth Reich. The world is moving toward being more decentralized thanks to Web 3.0 and A.I. technology. Roe v Wade has just been defeated. Doesn't this go against the narrative that the U.S. (not Manasseh) is becoming more corrupt and further away from god? I know, Ames is turning red-faced, shaking his jowls, and wagging his crooked finger as he reads this: "You'll see, you infidel basturd! God is not mocked!" No Dick, god is not mocked...YOU ARE.

The military power of the King of the North is the USA/NATO.
The BRICS nations are the Kings of the East, and these two blocks fighting in Ukraine today will eventually all wind up in the Jezreel Valley leading to Armageddon….but of course I doubt Ames would listen to any of this….just as he hasn’t for decades.
It's more likely that an "army" of Mexican climate-change refugees will soon be invading the Southwest. Both the Colorado River and the Rio Grande are drying up, and with Mexico last in line for the water, there are already cities in which the tap water has stopped running in homes. This is going to start a whole new desperate frenzy of illegal immigration. It will soon require military action to keep them out.
By the way, our Republican politicians have been bussing immigrants to Washington DC for months now, so that northern politicians can experience the same things we suffer in the border states.

The beast is not G7, but is revealed in the following 2 verses:
Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads."
Revelation 13:1 "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."
It is clear the beast is the red dragon, and who is that red dragon?
It is no G7, but time will tell...
