It's another bright sunny day in California and our resident prophet made it his mission to prove to the world his 130 Caucasians that he has been predicting the downfall of Dave Pack.
After reading what was posted on this blog of a report by Marc Cebrian, the Great Bwana to Africa took that information and rewrote it as if he had been given first-hand knowledge about it. Below you can see where he signed on yesterday evening. Little does Bwana Bob know that there is more to the story of the sale of that home and something else that is going on. More details about this are to come.

This is of interest as generally, RCG employees have used the homes on the compound, and as RCG has less employees it would not need as much housing. This also could be related to financial issues affecting RCG. For over a decade, I have written that the following was applicable to RCG:

Yes, I consider that RCG's leader, David Pack, is a false teacher. His destruction, in my view, has been going on for years as RCG has shrank in size as CCOG has grown.
I still expect RCG to one day implode.
The listing of a property by RCG may signal a step in that direction.
Every single COG member and ex-member should be standing in awe of the Great Bwana Bob and his amazing prophecies. You must immediately stop what you are doing and join his church! There has never been a COG to exist since those 1st century Christians upended Roman Imperialism that is as perfect as the improperly named "continuing" Church of "god" is. None have been favored by this god as much as Bwana Bob's church has been.

These guys all act as if Armstrongism is the correct religious philosophy (a highly debatable premise on so many levels) and that only they have the totally correct package. You can almost hear the joy in their written words as they contemplate the downfalls of their competitors, as they battle for supremacy and accumulation of all the believers of failed heretical garbage. And, as Thiel just proved once again, they are devious about it to boot!
You just have to throw back your head and laugh until your stomach aches sometimes.
I'm looking forward to learning how Dave will emerge and address his series of catastrophic failures. Partly to see how Dave will squirm and recast his previous statements, but also to see how Bob will claim to have predicted it all along.
Bob Thiel is a couple of days late prophesying the demise of the RCG. The again prophet Dave Pack beat him to that conclusion by prophesying his own church's demise just last week.
From Marc's post (Craptacular) it had this quote from Dave Pack: "1:05:06 If this went another year, brethren, I can just tell you, a year from now, we’re not gonna be any bigger. We’d continue to “lie waste” for one or three or ten more years. That’s just biblical."

Uh, prophlet Bob, you yourself just reported that your churchlet shrunk this year! 300 (in your dreams) to 150 (still in your dreams). Half your churchlet vanished into the ether in the last 12 months, so pointing to the shrinking numbers in other churches has once again gone right over your head! Well, everything goes right over your head. You warn about false teachers/prophets, while totally missing the irony. You mock lower numbers in others, while totally missing the irony. And while we are on the subject of size, Bob...you yourself also say that your "members" in Africa, are those who "consider themselves to be a part of the ccog". That is a verbatim quote. I imagine you "consider yourself" a 6'4" prophet, but you are neither.

This may be a good opportunity for Bob.......or not. I'm thinking he should buy the RCG from Dave Pack. The nebulous ways in which Bob presents his prophecies will have a calming effect on the RCG members. Dave could stay on as a consultant, and perhaps run Bob's health food and vitamin enterprises. He may have a brilliant future developing natural cigarettes that actually benefit one's health. Imagine going to the natural food store and asking for a pack of Packs.
Isn't it fascinating that two Pharisaic false prophets would have such similar backgrounds? Seems like a match made in, er, um, uh, Jeez, I can't quite work out where! As for the Africans, "common" should be shared with them in an effort to elevate and intensify the "work" in Africa. If they called the resulting church the RCCoG, perhaps they could pick up RC Cola as a sponsor, enabling them to purchase a jet so they could be just like Flurry.
Still don't know what to do with the horses. I understand that UCG's charity arm provides livestock to people in developing nations. Maybe they could be donated?

Yes, and one could hope that Bob is working on overcoming the little foibles, annoyances, distractions, etc that we point out.
When I gave a short class in communication in newspapers, I said that if your first sentence doesn't grab the attention of the reader, they won't read the second one. We describe the way Bob comes across to us, and dismisses it as "anti-COG" -- imagine how he comes across to those who never heard of him before?
It was 55 years ago this month when I first heard GTA on the radio - and he grabbed my attention immediately. But, that was radio, and things were a bit different in the radio days...
