The Church of God's track record regarding self-appointed prophets has to be the most pathetic scenario we have ever witnessed. Every single one of them has ended up being liars.
Alton Billingsley, Church of God Faithful Flock, has a longer track record of making dumb predictions than Gerald Flurry and even our favorite upstart, the Waffle King himself, The Great Bwana to Africa and 100 Caucasians, Bob Thiel.
Billingsly has this to say:
In view of Prophetic Biblical teachings, connected with major disastrous events, now occurring, and projected to worsen on a national and international scale over the next few years, strongly implies Jesus Christ will be standing on this earth in the year-2029. This is eight years from now, 2021. How quickly time flies!They also make known this nation is in mortal danger of being destroyed, as a nation, along with Britain, and other nations of Israel, in the year 2026-no more than five years from now, 2021. Prophesied to be destroyed by a super-power far greater than America.Though it has not yet appeared, it is prophesied to be fully developed by the year-2024. This is only three years from now, 2021.
On the Horizon
Satan, the devil, will soon bring the worst of times, beginning no later than 2024. Are you prepared and protected by God?
Consider the near future—
Possibly close to the Passover, April 4, 2023, will begin the famine to last for three and one-half years that God in heaven above is bringing on His people, the House of Joseph, America and Britain, and other tribes of Israel.
Prophecy also makes known the devil will release Assyria-Germany from the bottom- less pit. Therefore, bringing into existence the Holy Roman Empire sometime during the year, 2024.
Then the severity of the famine, with pestilence, Covid 19 mutating into the black plague, will commence destroying America in particular—then the same to come upon the other Israeli nations in 2026! All this is to be followed by nuclear warfare (Ezekiel 5:12)—with the lone exception of Judah. Her fate will come later.
Before all this, there will be a civil war, 2024-2025 (Jeremiah 51:46 "... Violence in the land ruler against ruler....") Could the civil war begin because of the possible assassination of President Trump? Something momentous will have to happen to trigger it! The civil war will start before the finality takes place. Perilous and Stressful Times
This year, 2023, will lead into unparalleled and frightening times! This nation and the world are presently asleep to what will soon befall them, similar to the pre-flood world of Noah, and Sodom and Gomorrah (Luke 17:26-30 "... so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed ...").
May God have mercy.
So far Billingsley's Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump prophecies have failed as have most of his other ones. These new dates are guaranteed to fail too. But in the eyes of far too many in the COG movement, they turn a blind eye and continue to follow him and others who lie through their teeth. Whether it is Bob Thiel, Dave Pack, or Ron Weinland, they are all false prophets deliberately setting about deceiving people. They search scriptures to fit their warped interpretations of what they WANT the scriptures to say instead of what the scriptures actually do.
Remember, according to the scriptures these guys all CLAIM to follow diligently, just one failed prophecy makes them false prophets and men who are not to be followed.

I was acqainted with Alton Billingsley at AC/Big Sandy. It is difficult to stand by and see someone who is a decent person be immolated by the flames of Armstrongism. Very unsettling.
It's standard terror religion. It's gives cults enormous undue influence over their victims. There's many non-Armstrong denominations singing the same song and quoting similar expressions such as "we are in the last hour of the last hour." And if you leave their special group, you will end up in the tribulation. They all copy from each other.
There's a big difference between respect for end time prophesies and terror religion.

I still remember Alton Billingsley saying that God had revealed to him that Hillary Clinton was going to win the 2016 presidential election. So, Donald Trump ended up winning it. Why can't old guys like Alton Bullshitty ever be DECENT enough NOT to make up prophetic lies and nonsense in God's name? Very unsettling, indeed.
What would Alton say about other people if they did the sort of things that he has done?

Alton Billingsley seemed to be so busy predicting the black plague that he completely overlooked the whole Covid-19 plandemic/scamdemic (the rebranded flu that disappeared for a couple years) and even the Poison Death Shots that did the real damage. Now Alton wants Covid-19 to mutate into the black plague to fulfill his prophetic fantasies. Maybe Alton can contact the lab in Wuhan, China that the gain-of-Fauci work was outsourced to and see if they can do this.
Alton makes you wonder what percentage of AC students ended up being successful Christians. And yet HWA touted AC as the college that teaches its students how to live.
Covid 19 was not a scam. It was a real, verifiable by test disease, manufactured by China as retaliation for Trump's tariffs.
"You can win a trade war!" (Donald Trump). Yeah, right!
I wasn't even sure if he was still alive to make all these foolish predictions. He may have some things right about what will happen, but they are chronologically wrong!

Edward Dowd said that these numbers are not static and can change. More people can be injured. The injured can become disabled. The disabled can die.
The Bible says prophesies can fail. Sometimes God changes plans. The establishment did have it rigged that Hillary would win the election. But the military took control of the manipulation headquarters in Denver and prevented the fix, enabling Trump. Then in 2020 Trump would have won but the old establishment was in control again and fixed it. Both times the winner was needed to deal with some major issues. It's hard to blame the ministers for failing on that.
And NO2 you continue to be hopelessly illiterate in your use of the word "lying".
Billingsley is not far off in his dates, which is interesting. But you take risks getting too detailed.

Not sure what you mean by this, 9:11. I thought the bacterium Yersina pestis was the infectious agent. True, some have cast doubt on the long-accepted idea that rodent fleas
spread by rats transmitted it to humans, but that doubt does not nullify what we know about the medical effects of the pestilent bacterium.
On the analogy of plagues mentioned in the Old Testament, the best explanation is that the Grand Old Designer flew into one of his characteristic rages and exercised the vengeance he claimed as his right on a whole lot of sinners. It never matters to him whether the side effects of his wrath also kill a whole lot of innocents who have not had time in their lives to earn such punishment. Oddly enough, he does not use his omniscience to target his wrath with surgical precision, but uses the scattershot approach.

As the summary points out, many scholars believe that the black death involved the combination of many other diseases as well.
Where I live I still see people wearing "covid" dunce masks so it wouldn't be hard to get them to believe the Black Death is near.
Prophecies fail when God never told them to prophecy over a person or situation. It was made up out of his or her head. Real prophets have a tract record off accuracy. Both sides know the prophet is real no matter which side the army is on. One of the bullshit prophecies out there is telling people, "God has chosen you to be one of the 2 witnesses.". Some of the Ex-Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses testified they were told the same thing at a young age.
It ruined their lives and caused severe depression. Some were considering suicide

Plague will come eventually, but not according to Billingsley's timetable.

Prophecy does not make known what Billingsley wrote there, because the Roman Empire is already past history and is not coming back into existence: like some "bogeyman."
However Revelation 17:10 states: "And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space."
When John penned Revelation, the then existent Roman Empire was the "one is" identified in Rev 17 and was the 6th head of the beast.
What about the 7th head? It is still not in existence, but it is expected to exist after Satan is loosed from the bottomless pit to again, just like some subtil brute beast mess up this world once again; the 7th head is Gog.
So, do you mean to say that the 7th head won't exist until over 1,000 years from today? Well, Billingsley and the likes of Doug Winnail, and hirelings who fled from Pasadena from the former WCG to form their own competing Orgs, Ass, groups, don't agree with that, but...
