Ever since that time the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit were sitting around the kitchen in the 7th heaven discussing the end of humanity, we have been "blessed" with the presence of the Great Bwana Bob Mzungu Thiel. When they pulled the names of Dave Pack, Gerald Flurry, Ron Weinalnd, Rod Meredith, and so many other men they knew would self-appoint themselves in the end time of humanity, they were left with one last name in the bowl. When the Great Bwana's name was pulled out, they just sat there and laughed and laughed and laughed.
This brings us to our resident crackpot and the vital information that he thinks you need to know that is important for your salvational walk.
Forget about grace and what it means to be justified, you need to know how tall Goliath was. After all, knowing his height "proves" the Bible and once you prove Goliath was tall, you will then understand that all prophetic utterances from the Great Bwana Bob Mzungu will be true because they come from the Bible he claims is 100% true!
Could Goliath Have Been 9 Feet Tall?
he (sic) Bible says that Goliath of Gath was six cubits and a span (1 Samuel 17:4, Masoretic Text). Various ones put that to be between 8 feet 6 inches to 9 feet 9 inches? Skeptics say that was not possible, and that his height grew because of exaggerations. Could Wikipedia or Daniel Hays be right that the wrong height has been pushed? Is there skeletal evidence that points to people being that tall 3,000 or so years ago? Did David kill Goliath? Is there any archaeological evidence that the Philistines even used names like ‘Goliath’ three thousand years ago? What about the so-called ‘Goliath Ostracon’? Were David and Goliath real or just myths? What about the ‘Qeiyafa Ostracon’? Do scholars know true facts that contradict the Bible? What about the Exodus? Steve Dupuie and Dr. Thiel go over these matters.
If the end time Bobbsey Twins says it is true, it HAS to be true!
Contributions are now being accepted for the new archeological dig
that the Great Bwana Bob and Steve Dupuie are starting.

The human race before the flood lived about 800 years and was about ten feet tall.
Didn't the late Sasha tell us that Bob could not control another late US CCOG services site host from harboring steadfast belief in angelic/human hybrids from Book Of Enoch literally being hundreds of feet tall? Sasha got excoriated over it even though the US site host was the one promoting the giants. The host even taught it privately despite "hierarchy" forbidding it.
Sasha's efforts at shaping up things Bob dismissed as "well, that's not really a salvation issue if one of our services hosts believes in 500ft tall Book Of Enoch giants", were very encouraging & comforting.
Now Bob writes a firm stance on giants, despite letting the guy Sasha complained about to "get away with (Enoch giants errors)".
You mean as tall as Robert Wadlow or Yao Ming?
The whole article is kind of a mess. Bob gets so worked up trying to dismiss the Dead Sea Scrolls' and the LXX's recorded height that he completely misses the point: Whether Goliath was around seven feet tall or closer to ten DOESN'T MATTER. Either way, a very tall man, buffed out from carrying around all that armor and the spear whose shaft was like a weavers beam or whatever the description is, would have been one imposing sight.
I'm six foot four myself, but I once worked an event with Kevin Nash of wrestling fame. He's only maybe five or so inches taller than me, but I'm so not used to looking up at people that it was startling. Imagine what it's like for someone around average height.
And Nash (along with some other people I've worked with) is just a very tall man - normal in every respect, just tall. I've known a couple of people with pituitary disorders that were even taller, but they didn't live that long due to the strain on their hearts. Nowadays that can be corrected fairly easily with surgery, but a few decades ago that was a rare occurrence.
Does that mean the HWA hirelings would have discouraged & prevented the corrective surgery on any giant or giantess members? No pastoral pity por favor, permitted for persons pleading a pass on pituitary pestilence plague.
"What about the Exodus?" seems like an afterthought in this "teaser". Shouldn't it be more important in the days of Unleavened Bread?
Majoring on the minors and minoring on the majors, thats Armstrongism.
How tall was Goliath, has Noah’s Ark been found? Where was the Red Sea crossing?
When the jailer was about to kill himself, he was stopped…..and he then asked what he must do to be saved.
He wasn’t given a discourse on Goliaths height or if the Ark had been found.
He was given the message and salvation of Christ.
Everything else is simply a distraction from the saving work of our Lord and Saviour.
We all have a proclivity to distraction. We see it everywhere, it is part of the human condition.
When the disciples asked who then can be saved, Christ said with men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. And so it is, and we should expect therefore to see more irrelevancies taking up more of the Armstrong media as ‘gospel’.
Fair question - I don't know how many ministurds back in the day would have deemed that "repair" (as I recall, that was the usual buzzword). One person I referred to was in fact a WCG member who died untreated in his mid-twenties from the effects.
It was kind of amazing seeing the pictures of Brittney Griner being let through the Russian prison by her guards! She towered over them. I did a double take! And then I did a double-double take when I first saw Brittney's wife! Cherelle is absolutely gorgeous!!!

God's Holy days are now all about giving lip service but sermons very rarely teach about the actual day. Majority of speakers in 2024 COG world are an embarrassment to listen to.
Bible knowledge is becoming increasingly threadbare in COG.
Isn't she though? Reportedly she's got brains to match too.
Well, I'll tell you up front that I'm decidedly not a Christian, and yet... when I read silly articles like this (PCG is particularly bad about it), my question is always "How does this or that difficulty impact the sacrifice of Christ?"
Whether the Hebrews crossed the water at the Sea of Reeds or the Red Sea proper or even somewhere else... does it matter?
Was Goliath around 7 feet tall or closer to 9.5 feet? Does it matter?
Did Saul's servant give Samuel a coin that didn't exist yet? Does it matter?
I'm not saying all of these things aren't interesting in their own right and in their own discipline, but they're hardly worth the mistake of applying too rigid a standard or fuming about the people who point them out on Wikipedia.
I think it's safe to say that Nazi -boy hasn't seen that comment! Either that or his responses were massive and Gary had to bounce them.
(waving) Hi Bob! You're still a fucking moron!
