Dennis on Dave Pack's - "Should Accusers Be Accused?"

Should Answerers Be Accused?

Dennis Diehl - EzineArticles Expert Author

I have endeavored to read through "Should Accusers be Answered?"  by DCP.   What he seems not to realize is that Billy Graham, TBN, Benny Hinn and the Pope could all write the very same thing using all the very same scriptures.

The Bible goes to great lengths to admonish defending the faith, but then gives way too much leeway to everyone to struggle with just what that faith is.  It's a document demanding compliance but  short on explaining compliance to what?  "Keeping the Commandments," always leads to which ones?

DCP goes on to impute the only acceptable motives to those who observe and listen to the words of those who claim to know the mind of God personally.

"Obviously, these “journalists” are not dirtmongers in their own eyes. They see themselves as merely performing an “information service.” But they function much like the National Enquirer, The Star or other supermarket tabloids, so popular today. The difference is that they do this on behalf of the many splinters, assuring themselves that God is pleased with their efforts. Actually, these “journalists” directly serve the “god of this world,” who loves gossip, talebearing, slander, bad news, discord, division and every other form of human disagreement. While God hates these things, the devil and human nature feast on them. But try to tell them God hates what they are doing."

No,  you hate what they doing. Could we not also say,  "Obviously, these ministers are not Biblically inaccurate in their own eyes.  They see themselves as called by God Almighty specifically and obviously.  But they function much like the Trinity Broadcasting Network.  The difference is that they do this on behalf of themselves assuring themselves that God is pleased with their efforts.  Actually , these "ministers" directly serve their own beautiful minds,   who love to preach to the exclusion of others, connect scriptures that aren't connectable and give them meanings they never meant, Good News that is not good, demand for loyalty and compliance to 'that man" and every other form of human reasoning using as many scriptures as can be assembled to weave their tale.  While they think God hates the noticer and ministerial specialness and seeing themselves specifically spoken of in the Bible, they can't comprehend they are not really educated enough on Bible origins and history to take so much time and life energy from those they dazzle."

DCP goes on to speculate "what if"  there was the Internet during the days of the early Church?

For example, "

"The apostle Paul reported in II Timothy 4:14 that he was attacked by Alexander the coppersmith “who did him much evil.” (We will look at this reference later in the book in another context.) Of course, Paul offers no details beyond this statement about the specifics of what happened. But let’s ask: What if Alexander had been able to post his side of the story on the Internet at the time? How many brethren then would have felt they needed to read “Alexander’s side” of the matter before they could support an apostle? More important for us, how many among God’s people today would resist the tendency to study this evil man’s mind because it was still “archived on the net”?"

Using this example of every person in the NT who questioned the Apostle Paul, resisted him, left him  or simply did not like the man, DCP simply cannot understand why Church members would want to know what's up with that?  This approach certainly gives those who expect to be taken as true in all they say a pretty free reign over the lives of others without accountability.  DCP is right that Paul is long telling us WHO gave him a hard time and did not take everything he said as true but very short on telling us WHAT the disagreement was.  The Apostle Paul laments that "all in Asia have forsaken me," but can't seem to come up with explaining just why they ALL did that.  ALL is a lot of people!  In the Ephesian letter to the Church in Revelation, the Jesus figure praises them for challenging those who "say they are Apostles and are not.'  Personally I believe at this point that Apostle was Paul who the Ephesians rejected and is the "All those in Asia" he was referring to.

Paul tells us he knew a man 14 years ago who went into the Third Heaven (It was him obviously) but could not report on what he saw.  DCP likes this approach at times.  "I have amazing information, but can't tell you right now."  The need is to say one has secret or amazing info to impress or lead along, but not telling what it is keeps the suspense up for a bit.  If the Apostle Paul had an out of body or mind experience, how about he just share it and let us decide if maybe he needed meds and not a following?  Paul even bragged how he withstood Peter to his face, but once again, does not quite tell us what Peter's problem with him was.  I suspect Peter realized Paul was not about to go along with what he said he'd go along with in Acts 15 and the food on the table was not so much unclean as obviously offered to idols.  Paul goes to great lengths in I Corinthians to tell the Church that "WE know the idol is nothing, but in all men (Peter, James and John) is not that knowledge..."  Typically the duplistic and "just what do you really believe?" when around various people Paul.  (Being all things to all men must make one wonder sometimes just what do you believe?)

Simply put, judasiscariot.com, Jannesjambres.com, allofasia.com, alexanderthecoppersmith.com and demas.com would be strictly taboo.   Actually, great humor Dave!  If we don't need their dotcom observations and views, why RCG.com?  I prefer dotcalm myself. But in the world of "True Religion" and "True Churches"  that just doesn't work well.

DCP continues...

"Many are simply no longer willing to let Christ rule His Church, stating about themselves that “I am not into ‘control’ anymore.” Each person wants to be his own lord—“his own man”—with a “nobody’s telling ME what to do” attitude. When things go wrong, most (ministers and laymembers) lash out because they will not any longer be ruled. They come to their own decisions—their own judgments—on almost everything to do with the Church and Work. As a result, the “hatred, betrayal and offense” (Matt. 24:10) that Christ prophesied would appear in the Church prior to His Return arrived, and in the worst way. It has allowed most to easily justify the “every man for himself” approach to governing the Church. Now, the tail largely wags the dog."

And this true.  It's how clear thinking and critical thinkers think!  We all know the phrase "let Christ rule his Church," really means "Let ME make the decisions."  We're not stupid.  "Each person wants to be his own man," really means "Leave that to me..."  I want to be my own man.  Being persuaded in one's own mind is evidently off the table.  Coming to one's own decisions, judgements and such is ok.  Kinda of a prove all things from what I tell. And we all know that once you say, "Now the tail largely wags the dog,' means you are the tail and stay on your end while I am the brains of the dog. Again, we're not unaware of what these statements really mean.

Every dig in the NT by the Apostle Paul was a human reaction to the reality he created with his views and personal way of presenting it. One might claim it is the same way God reacts, but that is simply not true. That is an apologetic for human behaviors.   We're simply quoting as if from God, the ever used concepts that keep the powers that be , the powers that will remain to be.

Of course there has to be organization in organizations but voting with one's suggestions for a better way to think, act or be or voting with one's feet is not one of the Devil's greatest tools.  It's what humans who respect their own views and ability to think things through do.

More..

"Did Matthew 18:15 require an apostle of Christ to sit throughout his ministry—for 55 years—hoping not to offend what would be several people in Denver, Dallas, Dubuque, or Detroit, because this “lynch mob” might have removed him if he had? When thought of this way, it makes even considering the idea ludicrous.
The passage instructs, “Go to your brother,” not “Go to your minister.” This is not because ministers are above the law, nor does it mean that you could not talk to your minister if you did not understand one of his actions or decisions. It is because a true minister cannot be removed by any except God Himself, usually through His faithful senior ministers. Even then, of course, they must have right reasons for doing this! (This becomes its own great reason why God’s people must go in search of the government of God and not stop their pursuit until they find it.)"

This is truly false reasoning and actually not the example we see in the NT.  Evidently the Ephesian Church in Revelation outed and ousted false Apostles.  Someone said,  "I am an Apostle."  The Ephesians said, "No you are not."  and Jesus said, "Well done."  Whoever this was probably went out and wrote something like, "Should Accusers Be Answered?" to the Ephesus in Asia Minor but to no avail.

"The passage instructs "go to your brother, not Go to your minister."  Oi. I can see why one of the titles in RCG is not "Brother" for the ministry.   That's kinda like saying , the passage says "Prove all things, not prove all the things I say."   Of course the idea that only God can remove such a one is pure theatre.  Saying it is "usually" through "faithful senior ministers, " is just plain silly as Dave knows he decides who is both senior and faithful.  That tail wagging the Dog thing. Does RCG have any senior  ministers?  Do they ever give sermons?  Could we see a portfolio of RCG ministers so we can pray for them as Mr. Armstrong provided? Maybe that comes after one purchases a Gulfstream II  because travel with the common folk is just too difficult. Ok, we can wait on that a bit longer.

Again...

"However, RCG is not for everyone. We exist for those who believe and understand that God has one government ruling His undivided Church. Those who want to criticize, evaluate, accuse, “have a say in how things should be run” or to withhold God’s tithes until things go “more to their liking” will be happier elsewhere. While God’s way is never a dictatorship, neither is it confusion."

Boy, that's the truth!  "While God's way is never a dictatorship, neither is it confusion."  Translation:  "God's way is plainly a dictatorship and to keep it from being confusing, only I run the show."  If DCP can imply that people leave because of Satan, being unconverted and evil sinners and not because they are thinking critically, asking questions and expecting to have a bit of say in what can easily get out of control when decided by just one man, I can offer translations of his concepts. It's too bad so many COG's are lead by demand and not by cooperation. I guess UCG has proven that doesn't work either.  I have learned where two or three are gathered together, one runs the show, one listens and one cleans up and brings the watermelon to the church picnic.

However...

"Again, the official position of The Restored Church of God is to not answer accusers! I have learned—and this is its own interesting point—that those who love the truth do not require or even want me to explain myself. Remember, those always demanding the “inside story” are rarely satisfied with answers anyway, because their focus is all wrong. They ignore that we teach the full truth of God and are doing His Work with real force and power.

So, we let God answer our accusers while we “turn the other cheek.” Although I would love to occasionally write an answer of explanation, I have learned to withhold myself. As explained, and I repeat this for emphasis, when I did this in the past, I could never see what good was accomplished. While I may have felt better personally, it rarely changed anyone’s mind."

Evidently this has not really been learned or it's going to be unlearned. God must not have been clear on this concept in all cases.  However if not answering has now become a grand announcement that answers were about to come big time, then why can't we see that God's inspiration is not exactly set in stone?  Just sayin'. And if I was one who suggested that someone does answer their accusers and got put down for it using the scripture and the non-dictatorial nature of God but now seems to have been right after all...what's with that?  The dog decided to take the advice of the tail after all.  I'm not such a bad just the tail after all, it would seem.

Personally, the "turn the other cheek," "if made to walk one mile, walk two," and "If someone takes your coat," were short term teachings of a man and then expectant church knowing "it won't be long now."  Many such sayings are not life courses but short term admonitions that have long since expired and should be taken off the shelf.  Jesus never expected time to go on after him or the Romans to win.

And finally, the point being made...

"Keep it simple, brethren: The real reason a person leaves the Church—lay member or minister—is that he simply does not love the full truth (II Thes. 2:10). It is no more complicated than that! However, the one who leaves will never admit this, so he must create an “exit theology” in order to (1) soothe his own conscience and (2) portray himself instead as a “grassroots crusader” for God.

If such men cared so much about doctrine, then why did they speak up in this manner, with false accusations and scathing attacks? Why did they not “quit themselves like men” and talk to a Headquarters minister face-to-face when they had the opportunity? Why do they lack the courage to openly state they disagree with Mr. Armstrong, both in doctrine and in approach to doing the Work? This fits well with the tactics of their new “Presiding Evangelist.”

I personally get weary of being told what my motives are for ever learning and never being able to settle on one grand follow me truth. Seekers don't have "tactics," they have a desire to know truth and not be conned into anything less than truth.  I lost my faith in the story, the naive history, the inerrancy, the motives and the clarity of the Book.  The grand leadership, including Herbert Armstrong as present in form and actions of those that followed him simply destroyed my naivete' on things religious and run buy guys.  Now DCP is saying why did you not speak up like a man?  Ummmmm....Dave....it never worked that way.  People were speaking up in all the ways you hate and because humans like you don't listen to the input of others, we have to go away. Herbert Armstrong was not a man given to advice or observations that didn't coincide with his own habit of getting used to having his own ways.  Such are many of the COG lone gunmen.  Everything in me wants to offer a quote or two up from someone close and deep within the experience of RCG to make this point, but I won't do it.  I promised I would not do it ever.  People are screaming at you to join the real human race and the real need for people to have positive hopes and dreams and kind loving leadership if that is what some want you to be to them. The day of the dictator and one man show anywhere on this planet is passing quickly.  I expect it will not go easily.

I will always be personally fascinated with the Bible, it's origins and the impact it has had on the lives of people. I , like many, no longer can abide being told by others what I can examine for myself and examine much more accurately than ever before because good old knowledge has indeed increased since I went to school.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

So, please don't accuse me or everyone else when we simply wish to have better answers to really important issues that really effect the quality of life now, much less in the future. When a man sets himself anywhere on this planet as only responsible and accountable to an invisible and actually non-present deity and not the observations of those one actually affect by their beliefs about themselves , that is troubling and very dangerous. Divining the will of this deity without accountability is insane.  History has already taught those with eyes to see that lesson.

Amen

Van Robison: "SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS"

SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS

Life on earth is complex and the answers to questions, problems and issues seem to never be cut and dried.  Religion, superstitions and constant FEAR have always played a major role in human affairs.  The common man and woman have always been manipulated by the unscrupulous.    The unscrupulous are found in pulpits, politics, governments, enforcement, courts, prisons, corporations, banks, the medical system, the never ending making of "laws", and virtually every area of human life.

While human beings are extremely intelligent in many ways, at the same time the failings of human beings are exponential.  Humans fail to live in peace with their fellow man.  Humans fail to find answers to many problems in human life, for the simple fact that greed and $money are the driving forces that motivate so many who rise to the top of power and control over others.  Many modern day monarchs of churches, are not really preaching the Gospel to the world, but are play acting that they are God's "servant" to the world.    The church world is as guilty of class division as the world was during the age of the sinking of the Titanic, when passengers were divided into classes of the rich and the poor.

The church world today is headed straight for the ICEBERG, the same as the Titanic was in 1912 and the Titanic sunk.    The "aristocrats" who stand in pulpits and swell their bank accounts at the expense of the gullible and naive are no different than the aristocrats of the age of the British empire.  People of wealth and power and control have since the beginning of human time, ruled over and controlled common humans, who generally have no means of riches, wealth or influence.  Is the only real difference in human beings $MONEY?

How many people of wealth, fame and riches are HUMBLE and MEEK human beings?  How many preachers who stand in pulpits live in splendor and luxury at the expense of the simple minded?  When you see million dollar or multi-million dollar church buildings being built, then you know that a lot of folks are giving support to a material object that God DOES NOT DWELL IN, for no other reason than the self-appointed "pastor" or "elders" of that group convinced the simple minded that it is "necessary."

What will ever awaken so many from their STUPOR and their ignorance?  No man or woman who stands in a pulpit is God.  No politician or human government is God.  INK on PAPER is not God.  Obviously those who placed their faith in the Captain of the Titanic found that their misplaced faith was a disaster.  "Captains" who stand in pulpits cannot guarantee truth, but they always espouse their opinions as if they are "truth."  Non-thinkers always have false faith in human leaders.  Thinkers on the other hand QUESTION and QUESTION and QUESTION and seek answers.  Blind faith in the Bible is NOT intelligence, it is stupidity.  Most church goers are not THINKERS, they are followers who have fishhooks in their lips and are led around by self-appointed gurus who pretend that they are someone "special."

When church goers are FEARFUL of their "leaders", it is proof that they have the wrong god.  Believing that TRUTH comes from those who stand in pulpits, often leads to crashing into an ICEBERG and sinking.  This reality has been so endless times throughout church history.  How many foolish church goers have followed human leaders throughout history?  What man or woman who ever stood in a pulpit replaced Jesus Christ?  Obviously none, and yet millions of church goers have bowed before the church aristocrats as if their salvation depended upon it.

Easter: Victory over Evil

For those interested:

St. John Chrysostom’s brilliant Easter sermon at the Great Vigil of Easter. It makes Easter all about Christ’s complete and utter victory over evil in the harrowing of hell.
The Lord has destroyed death by enduring it.
The Lord vanquished hell when he descended into it.
The Lord put hell in turmoil even as it tasted of his flesh.
Isaiah foretold this when he said,
“You, O Hell, were placed in turmoil when he encountering you below.”
Hell was in turmoil having been eclipsed.
Hell was in turmoil having been mocked.
Hell was in turmoil having been destroyed.
Hell was in turmoil having been abolished.
Hell was in turmoil having been made captive.
Hell grasped a corpse, and met God.
Hell seized earth, and encountered heaven.
Hell took what it saw, and was overcome by what it could not see.

Dave Pack: I Am Sent By God, So This Is All About Me (In 7,590 Words)

Dave Pack has written a huge missive about what an awesome hunk of a man he is and how TRUE COG members should be flocking to his feet in admiration. He explains how he is the most incredibly important man ever sent by God to fill the shoes of Herbert Armstrong.  No man on earth is more favored than he.  No man on earth has the guts to preach a forceful message. No man on earth speaks with as much authority as Davey does.  No man on earth heads up the worlds largest Church of God that has the largest outreach ministry every to grace this planet.

Just so you know how incredibly important he is, Davey takes 7,590 words to get his all important message across. As usual in Armstrongite writings Jesus Christ gets short shifted again.

Davey's ministry is based upon Isaiah and not upon Jesus. Pretty telling right off the bat

Isaiah 58:1 describes a special commission given to God’s leader at the end of the age. This article opens and clarifies this verse by looking at 12 Hebrew words within it. After, for those who even remember it, you will see the verse as almost infinitely more important than you previously thought. Throughout, it looks at what Herbert W. Armstrong recognized about this duty—in his own words—and how he carried it out to the Church and the world. The article covers how this passage applies today, focusing on what I have been doing and will do in a broader way regarding the splinters.

About HWA, Davey writes:

Throughout his ministry, Herbert W. Armstrong “cried aloud and spared not,” warning those headed for punishment foretold in God’s Word. In fact, he spent his life fulfilling Isaiah 58:1, and knew he had God’s authority to do it. He always “lifted up his voice like a trumpet,” never worrying what people thought. He addressed what needed to be said, with no regard for what they wanted to hear.

Yep, that "strong hand from someplace" was a most effective ministry.  Look and the hundreds of thousands that comment brought into the church around the world.  Nada, zippo, nothing.  How can a supposed follower of Jesus Christ, God, preach a message when you are too embarrassed to say the name?

He saw the clear responsibility to warn those—of either physical or spiritual Israel—who were headed for the Tribulation. After reading this article, you will not doubt Mr. Armstrong’s approach to warning those headed for disaster, if they did not awaken. Nor will you doubt mine.

Davey wants you to know that instead of basing his ministry on the saving work of Jesus, grace, etc., that this is what is the basis of his ministry What follows below are various excerpts of Davey trying to legitimize his so called ministry:

Isaiah 58:1 declares, “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” A simple definition of the Hebrew from Strong’s Concordance follows each key word in bold. These words become your focus. The definitions are so strong they need no comment from me. First, they demonstrate what GOD intended. Second, notice how certain Hebrew words are repeated twice in the original text. This is God’s own emphasis—a way of HIM saying to not only be strong but to do it with double emphasis. This is much like Christ saying “verily, verily,” meaning “truly, truly.” You are already learning more about this verse than you probably knew:

(1) Cry qârâ' (kaw-raw')—the idea of accosting a person met; to call out to (that is, properly address by name)…bewray [self]…call (for, forth, self, upon), cry (unto), (be) famous…mention, (give) name, preach, proclaim (-ation), pronounce, publish…say.
(2) Aloud gârôn gârôn (gaw-rone', gaw-rone')—the throat…as roughened by swallowing…aloud, mouth, neck, throat.
(3) Spare [not] châśak (khaw-sak')to restrain [not] or refrain [not]…refuse [not], spare [not]…assuage [not], forbear [not], hinder [not], hold back [not], keep (back) [not]…reserve [not]withhold [not].
(4) Lift-up rûm (room)—to be high actively to rise or raise…literally or figuratively…bring up, exalt (self)go upheave (up), (be, lift up on, make on…) high (-er, one), hold up…lift (-er) uploud, mount uptall (-er).
(5) Voice qôl qôl (kole, kole)—to call aloud; a voice or sound: aloud, bleating, crackling, cry (+ out), fame, lightness…[pro-] claim, proclamation, + sing, sound, + spark, thunder (-ing), voice, + yell.
(6) Trumpet shôphâr shôphâr (sho-far', sho-far')—in the…sense of incising; a cornet (as giving a clear sound) or curved horn: trumpet.
(7) Show nâgad (naw-gad')—to front, that is, stand boldly out oppositeto manifestannounce (always by word of mouth to one present); specifically to expose, predict, explain…bewray…certify, declaredenounce, expound, fully, messenger, plainly, profess, rehearse, report, shew (forth), speak, surely, tell, utter.
(8) People ‛am (am)—a people (as a congregated unit); specifically a tribe…hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively a flock: folk, men, nation, people.
(9) Transgression pesha‛ (peh'-shah)—a revolt (national, moral or religious): rebellion, sin, transgression, trespass
(10) House bayith (bah'-yith)—a house (in the greatest variation of applications, especially family, etc.)…home.
(11) Jacob ya‛ăqôb (yah-ak-obe')—heel catcher (that is, supplanter); Jaakob, the Israelitish patriarch: Jacob.
(12) Sins chaṭṭâ'âh chaṭṭâ'th (khat-taw-aw', khat-tawth')—an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty…sacrifice, or expiation; also (concretely) an offender: punishment (of sin), purifying…sin.

Reread the power in this list! Come to grips with—and never lose sight of—the awesome commission built into this single colossal passage within God’s Word. Someone, somewhere, must be fulfilling Isaiah 58:1. Mr. Armstrong said time and again that God’s pattern of government is that He always works through one chief servant and leader at a time. Finding the person and organization performing this commission is among the greatest responsibilities of God’s people today.

Reread Isaiah 58:1, recognizing it is both a COMMAND from God to His servants and a TWO-FOLD commission: “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show My people their transgression, AND the house of Jacob their sins” (Isa. 58:1). There is more to this verse than first meets the eye. Who is the first group introduced—those whom God calls “My people”? And what is their “transgression”? It cannot be speaking of physical Israel because the “House of Jacob (Israel)” is referenced next—after the word “AND.” The identity of this second group referenced is obvious, as are their “sins.” The first group is also obvious. They are God’s people at the end of the age who have committed a particular “transgression”—one tied to rebellion or religious revolt (recall the definition above). It becomes obvious what that transgression is when one merely understands the meaning of Laodicea—“the people rule, judge and decide.” This revolt/rebellion is against the government of God in His Church, although proving this is not the main subject of this article. See the point. God no longer rules the great majority of His people at the end of the age. His final leading servant is to tell you this widespread transgression in no uncertain terms (he is to “spare not”)!

Mr. Armstrong’s pattern to God’s people is being repeated. Again, the task involves warning in both cases. And in both cases it involves trying to awaken people to biblical truths that have been ignored. It also involves—again in both cases—speaking in the spirit and tone of Isaiah 58:1. Make yourself comprehend.

Separate warnings must be issued during the period before the Great Tribulation. The stakes for both groups—physical and spiritual Israel—are in part the same. Because those who will not heed will be sent into the worst punishment of all time, a fair, just, loving and merciful God would send an unmistakable warning, explaining there is a way of escape.

It should be easy to see why the final Church era—Laodicea—in the worst spiritual condition of any in 2,000 years (and this after it had been given the full truth through a special restoration—Matt. 17:11) must receive a POWERFUL WARNING from God’s designated servant!

NO OTHER VOICE WILL BE SENT TO CRY WITHOUT SPARING!

“God expects the spiritual leader of His people to be His ‘watchman’ (Ezek. 33:7) and to warn the people.”
This statement is literally impossible to misunderstand. Like others from Mr. Armstrong, you either believe it or you do not. (And you either proved it or you did not.) If you do believe it, you must go and find whoever is the man—one spiritual leader—commissioned to fulfill this responsibility. But you will not be able to see the importance of locating the Church carrying out this duty until you grasp the nature and magnitude of the task Mr. Armstrong references. Once this extraordinary responsibility is truly understood, it automatically becomes its own powerful motivator and magnet to search for whom God has selected to be the final “watchman” to “warn the people” before calamity strikes.

See this point. Mr. Armstrong’s statement is meaningless if you cannot know who the leader of God’s Church is. This means you must know where the Church and Body of Christ is. That is where the government of God would be in place, and where Christ would be directing and empowering His chosen servant to carry out this special responsibility. It goes without saying that whoever this man is, he would have to be clear on these things himself. How else could he know it is his responsibility to sound the warning!
It's all about Dave.  Me, me, me, though he doesn't want to influence your thinking.  Not in the least.  You have a brain use it. Though intelligent brains would know that Davey is THAT man.  At least according to his convoluted thinking!

If the appointed leader can know—and he would have to know with absolute certainty—so can you! In fact, for this man to fulfill his duty, he would require a great many people who also knew this and who would back him up.

Finally, God would have to have made available for review the fruits of the man whom He had selected, so that all could prove and know that CHRIST had selected him, and that the man had not presumptuously appointed himself. God’s people would also have to be able to correctly discern all imposters, remembering the devil counterfeits everything.
Then Davey delivers a dire WARNING:

As with Mr. Armstrong, some reject me personally as the one Christ would choose and send to continue His Church, Truth and Work. Be careful.

God would not send someone without ensuring we could know that he came from God. If God sends a man, He would obviously want it known. He would make it plain

Think just of this article, and ask: Who else is saying these things?—any of them? NO ONE!

Understand again. Someone, somewhere—I repeat, someone, somewhere!—had to be raised up after Mr. Armstrong’s death to continue God’s Work and lead in the reconstitution of the Church. Someone has to carry the authority to do this and can be found to be doing it. Someone has to warn the nations of Israel. Someone must also warn all God’s people in a lukewarm state. God does not speak audibly from the heavens, but rather through His human servants. If you decide God is not using The Restored Church of God and working through its leader, you must go in search of what would be a clone of this Church and Work. Be sure to keep in mind all the established “qualifiers” in your pursuit. If you do this sincerely, whether your journey is short or long, it will bring you full circle to one place!

So if you decide to leave Davey's cult and go searching for the "one true church" you will find that search fruitless and will return back to Davey's arms???????  that's exactly like a dog eating its own vomit!

Now we get to hear from Dave Pack the martyr:

There is no longer time in this age to speak any way but boldly. But doing this with authority does come at a price. I will continue to do this—no matter the price for me personally, and no matter how few or many are willing to pay it with us! Those who will not pay God’s price now ought to recognize that prophecy reveals the price will soon increase dramatically for His people—and for all people on Earth.

Then Davey jumps from proclaiming himself THE ONE, to kicking sand in UCG, CGI, and in other groups faces:

A side note: Any number of slivers and individuals can claim they are “doing the Work.” I can think of several groups who have anemic and almost pitiful websites, which are invariably badly conceived and poorly maintained.

Then there is a dig at Lord Six Pack in Edmund Oklahoma:

On the other hand, the one who believes himself to be “That Prophet” bellows and rages, primarily attacking those of Laodicea as though brothers and sisters in Christ are “enemies” in a way no true servant of God would ever do. He actually takes pride in thundering, “We are AT WAR with Laodicea!”

Davey is also not happy that Church of God members around the world  are hearing what a complete ass he is and he intends to put a stop to it.

Do not miss my next two postings. The first will be a sermon (posted April 21) that identifies—and MARKS!—the modern “synagogue of Satan” (Rev. 3:9). The second, an Open Letter (posted sometime in May), will present the truth and clear up many of the greatest lies told about me personally that are circulating throughout the splinters. Brethren must have an opportunity to cut through the 10-foot-thick layer of deceit surrounding my name. I have come to see it as my duty to give all of God’s people a fighting chance to defeat these lies and deceit. I will be specific! The April posting sets up the May follow-up.

If Davey really was THAT MAN, then why is he concerned about what people think about him?  Why does he need to write such bloviated pieces of garbage in order to legitimize himself?  When he does this he comes across as a bumbling idiot!  What an impotent little fool he has turned out to be!

You can read his incredibly LONG missive here:  “Cry Aloud, Spare Not”—What ALL Forgot!
