UCG: God Only Hears Prayers of Those Wearing Jacket and Tie?

UCG is ready to start a week of video conferences in order to save money because of their huge income drop after COGWA walked off with a large percentage of their ministers, members and tithes.  Though it is fun to mock it, it is a rather wise choice to do since the economy has been in such a mess around the world.  Coming up with new ways to accomplish old things is always a good idea.  However, UCG still seems to be stuck in a couple of areas.  70+ years down the line and Armstrongism still cannot figure out what kind of gospel they need to be proclaiming!  Seriously??.  Even worse, in 2012, they are still arguing over clothing standards.  These two topics are on their list of discussions:

On the agenda for this session is a lengthy discussion on a proposed “Public Proclamation Identity” that seeks to fulfill the Media Strategy #9 from the 2012-13 Strategic and Operation Plan. We will also be discussing the future of the Strategic Planning and Finance Committee and the viability of the church fulfilling its mission statement.

I am assuming "Public Proclamation Identity" is an innocuous way of saying, "How do we make our message and church looks like a Christian organization instead of a whacked out cult?"

A ruling has been requested for Sabbath attire – what is appropriate Sabbath wear at church services for men who speak, lead songs and give opening and closing prayer. The Council will discuss this issue before ruling on it.

Does God honestly care if a person speaking, giving a prayer or leading a song is wearing a tie or not?  Is a prayer delivered in a jacket and tie more meaningful and worshipful than in a polo shirt?

Dennis On: "This Has Been a Test You Can't Fail"

This Has Been a Test You Can't Fail
Dennis Diehl - EzineArticles Expert AuthorHaving started a new job at a new business I found myself having to take the HIPPA  (The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ) new employee course.   It took about an hour online and had a mere 15 question test at the end.  Of course, if you don't pass the test with 80% or take it again, you don't work until you do.
I have always been the kind of person that cannot stand being "wrong."  Not that I haven't been wrong plenty of times.  I just hate being so.  Tests are not something you just pass.  Tests and exams are something you slaughter and get as near perfect as possible.  High School was straight A and College was 3.98.  Perhaps my insecurities require this of myself, but I also love learning and believing one has learned all there is, as in the "truth" of the Church of the Bible, in hindsight, just never worked for me.  The one thing I appreciated about the Apostle Paul was his use of the term "Present Truth" and not simply "Plain Truth" as if it was all sewed up and complete.
When I took my National Therapeutic Massage Exam they only tell you if you passed or failed and you either get a license or you don't this time around.  The seconds it takes for the computer to correct it are agonizing but I waited knowing....."Well Mr. Diehl,  you passed. really passed."   LOL  That's just the way I am.
As an EMT, I was told to take an Advance Life Support class for three days.  Didn't take long to see I was out of my league.  Most were ER nurses and I was a EMT.  I read the book which I had not seen until then like crazy during the entire three day seminar.  Then the test.....The teacher took me aside and said,  "I have good news and bad news.  You passed and I'd love to have you teach the class.  However, you are only an EMT, so can't do that."   I smiled....   It felt good as usual.
Now lest you think I'm being a know it all,  (I simply enjoy learning well what I am supposed to know) I'll share another experience that gave me pause for thought.  A little bit of self disclosure is good for the soul.  For lots of reasons not hard to figure out, I ended up with a boat load of clinical depression in the 1990's. Ministering had turned into a nightmare.  I kept so many things inside and close to my chest.  I simply did not understand what was happening or what to do, if anything, about it.  I ended up having to get some personal help due to the classic symptoms of depression.  In my own view now after all these years, depression is repressed anger that one feels they either have no right to express (be a good minister and have faith) or the price of expressing the anger is to high (you're fired).    So I went for counseling.
In the course of this experience I was "tested,"  which if  you have never had that done, can be a bit disconcerting as testing usually comes up with answers right or wrong.  Psychological testing is a bit tense in thinking what it might show.  I can fully understand why some blow it off because it hits pretty close to home.
At any rate, I was given the test.  Here is how it went.
1.  1,2,3____
2.  a,b,c_____
3.  2,4,6_____
4.  1a,3b,6c______
I think you get the point.  I was mortified.  Do they think I'm stupid?   But in short order the combos got more and more complicated until by question 18  I could see the relationship in my mind but could not physically put it down on paper.  I have never had such a feeling.  I knew the answer but could not physically write it down.
So I got that one wrong.
When it was "Let's talk about this," time, the counselor said,  "You did well. In fact, you did amazingly well.  You like me saying that don't you Dennis don't you?"   I said, "Well sure, with how I have been feeling, it feels good to do something well."
He said,  "Dennis, it doesn't help much to be the smartest man in depression counseling..."    I just looked at him and teared up.  I was exhausted with World Wide Church of God drama, loses and confusion.  All I could say was,  "I know....can something help me get out of the hopeless experience."
I got some help. Learned some things about myself and then went on to see the whole WCG world fall apart and every congregation I ever pastored tank and disappear.
Anyway, back to the HIPPA test.  You had to get 80% and I am not into the kind of material this test required, but I did have to pass it.  I missed three!!!  I felt my stomach churn.  I'd have to listen to all those videos over again.  Spend another hour taking the test again.  Plus....I had failed something!!!  That is just not acceptable.
Then I noticed I could save but not submit finish.  I didn't want to "finish" because I did not think I'd pass.  So I saved it and the test popped back up.  I could see the pink lines saying  "Incorrect!"   Ugh....   And then I noticed what I had not seen before.  "Select another answer."   Really?   Another chance?  Could it be this easy after all self talk about failing it?    I picked another answer, you know the one you just knew was right to begin with but didn't pick, and the pink line changed to Green!   Whoa.....  I corrected the others and pressed submit.   It popped up with getting 10/10 and 15/15 and showed me a nice certificate of completion.
Wow....wouldn't it be amazing and evidence of the World Tomorrow if whenever one made a mistake and knew it, gave a wrong answer and wanted to correct it or screwed up and wanted another chance, you simply had to go back to the question and try again?   No criticism.  No scoffing.  No recrimination.  No embarrassment.  No demerits.  No penalties.  No being made fun of.  No criticism of oneself.  No nuttin...   You just get to correct it and the first wrong answers were as if they had never happened.   Dreaming I know.  Frankly, this is the kind of real Deity I can conceive of as opposed to the one who says he is "jealous" or has a need to throw one into either an ever burning hell or one that crisps you up quickly.
"Select another answer...."   Wow....It truly would be the Kingdom of God and Heaven on Earth.
I don' know if the Apostle Paul really wrote the following.  It doesn't sound like him when you read his other rants and raves against others who disagree with him, but let's say he grew up too and got to "select another answer."

I Corinthians 13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails

Love is a do over without all the baggage and humiliation.  The only human I find in the Bible who ever actually did this was the father in the story of the prodigal son.  He seems to have simply said to the son he loved   "select another answer."

Nice....really nice.......

Lawsuit Dismissed Against Blogger Critical of Minister

A great victory occurred in Beaverton Oregon last Thursday when a judge dismissed a $500,000.00 lawsuit filed by a minister of a legalistic cult like church against a former member who posted a negative comment about the church online.

The story started when a young woman who was very active in the church experienced a crisis in faith when challenged to look deeper into what she was being brought up in.

She writes:

Skip forward a couple of years, I had never formally joined BGBC as a member. I was taking classes at the local community college where I met a guy. He challenged me to re-think everything I knew and believed in. He didn’t want me to leave Christianity (he actually still considers me a Christian even though I no longer profess a belief). But through discussions with him, I started to look at my life and realized that I was living in a bubble. That bubble was basically white, middle-class, Christian, homeschooling families. It was a small segment of a much bigger world. I wanted to explore life and see what it meant to me without feeling pressure from anything or anyone else.

So here I was almost 21, working 4 part-time nanny jobs so I could put myself through a full-time school load to finish my degree (and I didn’t have a car due to my finances and wanting to complete school as fast as I could, so I biked or bused my commutes). When I added up the time I was at BGBC, which alone was about 20 hours a week including Friday night evangelizing on the street or at malls. Christianity was such an ingrained part of my family’s life that there was no way that I’d be allowed to live at home and not go to church. Plus I’d still have my family responsibilities and chores. I was honestly suffering burn-out with all the activities I had to do. I loved my family, adored my siblings, and respected my parents, but I knew and they knew that I couldn’t do what I wanted and live with them at the same time.

This woman's father brought her in front of the church pastor and this is what transpired:

My father, in utter disbelief that I could denounce my faith (he was a Calvinist so this was unthinkable and practically an impossibility in his mind) and Chuck arranged a “meeting” with me that truthfully was really coerced.  I did not want to be there. They sat me down in his office and read verse after verse and got me to feel sorry and repentant by pointing out that I respected my elders and so should do what they said.

Pastor Chuck’s best idea for getting me to “come back to the faith” was to take away my cell phones (I had two, the contract was in my name, that I entirely paid for), forbid me from going on the internet, told me to stop taking classes in a “worldly” school, as well as leave my various jobs, and that I was to stay home all day and basically only leave it to go to church.

After thinking about that for a day or two, I decided that that was utterly ridiculous and sounded like brain-washing to me. I thought, “If Christianity is that great, shouldn’t it be obvious? Why can’t I go out on my own? If it’s so great, I’ll for sure come back to the faith anyways - following their logic”. I knew I could ask questions, but I had a feeling the answers would be skewed, and hammered down into me like I was treated at that meeting. I wanted to be treated like an adult, to be given the pros and cons, to have the other adults admit that I had valid concerns, and not act like I was stupid and under the influence of a male friend who they thought might be trying to steal me away from the faith, the church, and my family.

Disgusted by it all she moved out of the house and across town so as to not be able to bump into church members. The young woman's mother disgusted by the ministers actions and the actions of church members wrote a comment on the church web site.
Speed up to last December. My mother had said that she had written a review on BGBC’s website and it wasn’t there anymore. We had already noticed the church members’ tactics of burying the negative google reviews under their positive ones by slightly tweaking their reviews so they’d stay consistently on top. When she said that, I thought that I’d write a review, partly as a way to defend my mother, as well as a way to tell my own story. That church had hurt me. It had caused a rift between me and my parents. So I wrote my review, and it was buried, but it stayed there.

And now here we are today. I don’t think Chuck’s lawsuit was aimed at me, it’s aimed at my mother. I was fuel to add to the fire. Chuck never tried to contact me after I left the church. I never knew if I was shunned or excommunicated, as I didn’t talk or associate with anyone at that church unless they initiated the conversation. I lived a good 45 minutes away on the other side of town purposely so I wouldn’t accidentally run into people I knew from my “old” life. Honestly, I was busy just living my life, finishing up my Bachelor’s degree, building my career, finding new friends. But now I’m involved in a half-a-million dollar lawsuit. Life has a strange way of working. But I’m glad I’m in this . I will stand by my mother every step of the way. It’s her blog, but she, and I, and the other defendants, and EVERYONE has a right to their opinion, especially if they believe it’s the truth. The best defense against defamation is just that - the truth. And the truth is what my mother wrote, and truth is what I wrote.
Then all hell breaks loose.  The minister, against the counsel of other ministers in other churches that knew him, decided he was going to make an example of the mother and daughter and filed a half million dollar lawsuit against them for defamation.

KCTV out of Kansas City had this in a July 13 story:

A woman who badmouthed her former church on her blog may have to shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars after the church filed a defamation lawsuit.

A Washington County Judge heard arguments from both sides Friday afternoon and now must decide whether the case will move forward.

The Beaverton Grace Bible Church sued Julie Anne Smith, saying her blog could ruin their reputation. Smith's daughter and a third former church member are also targets of the lawsuit.

Smith said she stands by her blog posts

She said the church practices spiritual abuse. She also wrote the pastor knew there was a sex offender in the church and gave him access to children and the nursery.

That's one of the accusations that the church lists in their lawsuit. Church leaders said it's false and that Smith only posted it to get back at Pastor Chuck O'Neal.

"It's an attempt o ruin us, and it's been highly successful," Pastor O'Neal told Fox 12 outside of court. "They have said the worst possible kind of things you can say about a pastor, about a church." Beaverton church sues blogging ex-member, seeks $500,000

Flash forward to July 26th.  Fox 12 states the following:

The lawsuit against a blogger who badmouthed her former church has been dismissed.
A judge threw out the defamation lawsuits filed against Julie Anne Smith and two others by the Beaverton Grace Bible Church.

Note what the judge said:

The report from Judge Jim Fun said the internet postings "were made in a public forum and concern an issue of public interest. The court further finds that the plaintiff has not met the burden of presenting substantial evidence the defendant's statements are defamatory."  Lawsuit dismissed against blogger critical of Beaverton church

The mother and daughter started a blog for survivors of the cult..  BGBC Survivors

If this sounds familiar it is exactly like what one Church of God cult leader in the southern hemisphere has been doing for several years now.  Using threats and intimidation on Facebook and various COG blogs, he has threatened and filed suit against several who are critical of him and his asinine teachings.  This should serve as fair warning the next time he gets pissed at someone who doesn't like him and says so.

Apostle Malm's Loving and Merciful 'god' Ready to Dish Out "Great Correction"

Last Saturday, when you stopped by Krispy Creme on your way to church, you committed a grievous sin that will earn you justified "great correction" from apostle Malm's "god."  Apostle Malm and his acolytes are going to be in for a shock when he arrives at that wedding feast and sees millions of grievous sinners who made it there in spite of his rantings.
God is not a respecter of persons and he will treat those lukewarm and lax for his commandments today, as he did in those days:  with a great correction.  Yet he is a merciful God who deeply loves his people and he will quickly come when they have repented.

Our Husband is jealous because of all our adulteries with our idols and traditions and will correct his wayward people, yet when they repent and turn  to him he will come and gather up his bride into his arms taking her to the Wedding Feat in heaven Rev 9 and then return with them to bring peace to the whole earth.

Prophet Thiel: My Predictions Are Coming True! Woo Hoo!

Prophet Thiel, the worlds foremost authority on end time prophecy, supreme authority on the Catholic Church and it's beliefs and Official Spokesman for the Living Church of God, is crowing in his blog post today on how his predictions about Iran are coming true.  I stand in awe!

The US Defense Secretary has publicly stated that the USA is willing to use its military against Iranian nuclear development:

Panetta: US force an option against Iran nukes

August 1, 2012
(AP) ASHKELON, Israel – U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Wednesday that Iran must either negotiate acceptable limits on its nuclear program or face the possibility of U.S. military action to stop it from getting the bomb.
As regular readers of the COGwriter news page are aware, I have been warning for some time that a regional war involving Iran, Israel, the USA, and/or Syria seems likely.  The statements from Leon Panetta are further confirmation of that.

Since the Prophet is been reading and rereading prophecy he is firm in his belief that Iran will soon be neutralized:

My reading and re-reading of Bible prophecy simply does not show that Iran will be a major player in Daniel 11:21-44 nor the deal of Psalm 83:4-8; though Ezekiel 30:1-9 possibly implicates Iran. Since Iran does not seem to be identified as the leader in those particular passages, and Iran has a loud voice in the Islamic world now, those facts have somewhat led me to conclude that Iran will somehow be “neutralized.”  This neutralization may be from a regional war, internal war, economic pressure, and/or internal change.
“Neutralizing” Iran would allow most of the other Islamic states (like Saudi Arabia and Egypt) to continue to exist (Syria might not do well per Isaiah 17:1) and allow for the rising of the prophesied leader (revolution in Iran, is also another possibility, for its “neutralization”).

Tragic Life In Armstrongism Made Good

I was sent this today about a former church member from Pasadena about her story of life in Armstrongism and how she has recovered.  I hope Dr. Bob Thiel, the official spokesman for the Living Church of God, reads her story and remembers it the next time he wants to praise Herbert Armstrong as God's greatest gift to the world.

When I was six, my mom remarried and my parents joined an extreme Fundamentalist Christian cult.  We believed, among other things, that the End Times were coming any second, that women were made solely to serve men and had no intrinsic value themselves and that we were the Only Chosen people of God – everyone else was worthless unless they converted.

A few weeks after life began at “God’s College”, I got expelled for being in love with David. The minister in charge of interviewing me for my expulsion asked me deeply personal questions about my body, my sexuality and David’s body, all while he played with himself under his desk drawer!  Because I was a virgin, I was shocked and traumatized by his invasive questions, but I had no idea how to defend myself.  I didn’t know for years why his face would turn red after he fidgeted with something I couldn’t see while asking me questions about my nipples!

Note:  This is not the first story of Church of God ministers and evangelists jerking off under the desk as they asked inappropriate questions of students - male or female.

They announced my expulsion to 6,000 church members and other students – I was accused of sexual misconduct publicly.  My parents were incredibly ashamed and punished me severely.  I was forbidden from ever speaking to my beloved David again, or ever returning to my friends and my church in Arizona.  A few weeks later, a guy from church whose girlfriend had just dumped him to marry another started talking to me.  I married him less than a year later, because they’d finally broken my spirit and he promised to restore my reputation in the church if I did.

The marriage was difficult.  He had been raised in our church by an extremely harsh, controlling father, and he had a drinking problem. He believed completely that he was the head of our household and my job was solely to serve.  When I disobeyed, I was punished.

We had two children, Jeremy Winston and Amelia Louise.  In 1991, on a little country road in England, about 2 days after we’d arrived for our vacation, my husband didn’t look both ways at an intersection.  He had jet lag; he’d stayed up with Amelia all the night before so I could rest; and he had had a few beers.  The other car hit ours at 65 kph.

Amelia died instantly.  Jeremy was taken off life support 3 days later. I was in a coma and in severe condition.  At one point, they talked about amputating my left leg because it had no feeling in it.  I wanted to die, but my attempts at suicide were limited since I couldn’t get out of my hospital bed, nor even sit up!
They eventually airlifted me back to the USA. We finally buried our children. I found out a week or so later that my husband was having an affair with my live-in nurse while I lay in the hospital bed someone had set up in our living room.

You can read the rest of her story here:

Wendy is now a successful writer, author and mother who has been featured on national television.

120th Anniversary of Worlds Most Significant Event

Prophet Thiel, the official spokesman for the Living Church of God, has jumped on the Gerald Flurry idolatry band wagon.  Today, the Prophet is letting the world know that 120 years ago Herbert W Armstrong as born.  However, the Prophet wants to make it very clear that he and the Living Church of God do NOT observe birthdays.

Herbert W. Armstrong was born 120 years ago, on July 31, 1892.  And a lot has happened in the world since he was born.  From automobiles to the space age, from paper to computers and the internet, from WWI to WWII to terrorism, from societal respect for biblical principles to abortion & homosexual marriage “rights.”  There have been changes.

But “he who does the will of God abides forever” (1 John 2:17).

Even though we in the most faithful COGs actually do not celebrate (but do acknowledge) birthdays, nor do we celebrate his..., since many who come to this page know little about him that this would be a good time to tell a few things about him.

Of course the Living Church of God is the ONLY true church that holds fast to the message that HWA created.

We of the Philadelphia remnant of the Church of God believe that God used Herbert W. Armstrong to restore much truth to the true Church of God and to raise up the Philadelphia era of the Church of God. Over the decades that I have been associated with the Church of God, I have repeatedly found both biblical as well as historical proof that the truths that were restored were in fact true. And in fact, the early church did teach them.

Then the Prophet writes:

Furthermore, while Protestants like to point to leaders like Martin Luther and John Calvin, the truth is that unlike them, Herbert Armstrong was not involved in getting people killed–the true church does not do that (see Military Service and the Churches of God: Do Real Christians Participate in Carnal Warfare?). The same is true about many Roman Catholic Popes who instituted persecutions in forms such as the Inquisition. Some information on what those non-COG leaders have done to others throughout history may be found in the article Persecutions by Church and State.

Armstrong may not have let his followers go into military service where they might kill someone, but Armstrong killed in other ways.  Scores of people have died in Armstrongism because of aberrant teachings on doctors and medicine.  Hundreds have died from suicide over the years.  Broken marriages, destroyed families, murders, rapes, stalkings, child molestations and financial ruin is the enduring legacy of Armstrong.

Prophet Thiel then adds this absurd comment:

Another difference between Martin Luther, John Calvin, Eastern Orthodox leaders, and Roman Catholic Popes vs. Herbert Armstrong is that HWA actually did teach sola Scriptura. He clearly taught what the Bible taught, yet the other churches have all demonstrated their preference for tradition over what the Bible actually teaches.

How delusional can the official spokesmen of the Living Church of God get?  Armstrong and his minions, including Meredith, have added some much worthless fluff to biblical interpretations that it is appalling to claim otherwise. If you cut out all the proof-texting from Armstrongite literature you would have blank books.

Prophet Thiel states:

Furthermore, HWA did more to get the truth of God to the world as a witness than any did since biblical times.

Yes sir!  That "strong hand from someplace" was surely a potent message!  The world was forever changed because of that message!  The hearts of the children were turned back to their fathers. Millennial peace flow to all corners of the earth.

Rod Meredith and Those Damned Crosses!

Poor Rod.  He has been running a 10 part series in a Nevada newspaper about the horrible end times ready to destroy this nation.  The latest installment leads off with three crosses next to his article.  Given how much the Living Church of God hates crosses I am sure this is not a pleasant thing for Rod and crew to be enduring.  Or, maybe they deliberately included that picture in order to make non-LCG believers think that LCG is Christan.

Jesus Christ gave a series of signs that must occur before He returns. Evidently, the fulfillment of Christ’s prophecy would happen within the lifetime of one generation—once the signs relative to that specific prophecy begin. So Christ is coming back to this earth, but not right away. Not until these signs have occurred! People who go running around mouthing their own ideas and predictions about Christ’s return “tonight” are false prophets. They are not heeding the words of Jesus Christ. The signs listed in Jesus’ words must occur first.

Soon, mankind will suffer through the most devastating, bloody war in human history—called, in biblical terminology, the “Great Tribulation.” “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved [alive]; but for the elect’s sake [for the sake of God's repentant, obedient people] those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:21–22).

We are now approaching that time, and these things are now being revealed. “Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined [God is examining you and me, testing us to see who is willing to obey His Word], but the wicked shall continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:10, NRSV).

Do you understand that our degenerate, corrupt nations are headed for a big fall? Do you fully realize that America’s national debts are almost out of control and that, proportionately, Canada’s indebtedness is even greater? Can you grasp the full meaning—in God’s eyes—of the spiritual and moral toboggan slide of our entire Western civilization?

LCG seems to take almost orgasmic delight in wishing destruction and annihilation on the United States. They want to see death and destruction happen to all who disagree with them.  It will  legitimize 70 some years of failed prophecies.

E W King: Join The Military So You Can Kill Pagans In End Times

The stupid machine is working over time in E W King Land.

Presently the Worldwide Church of God [COGSR] teaches that it is alright to serve in the United States military. There is only one more and final World War which is coming soon. This war Christians will certainly be involved with. The pagans will finally have their chance to take over America [Manasseh]. In this war Christians can fight to the end. The Bible prophecies state that America will go into captivity because of her sins. Christians however love this Great Nation and it would be a blessing to die for it and God in the last great battle!

E W King on Unshowered Swearing Drug Users Who Are Race Contaminated

Words fail me:

It is time for individual states to stop all the paganism in Manasseh! States must use their right to enforce allegiance to this country. Put the Ten Commandments back up. Reject same sex marriage. Stop all the illegal immigration NOW!
There is a group of certain people within our nation that don’t believe in any government. What kind of lifestyle do they lead? That of the freeloader! They move into other peoples living arrangement if they can and there they talk their anarchy propaganda. While they do this they have no compassion toward those who have given them their new living arrangement. They start talking about “living off the land”. So they tear a piece of property up to grow some food.
The amazing fact is, the majority of the food they eat comes from your pocket and mine! They collect food stamps. They never look for a job. They sleep in as long as they want. They smoke the drug of the sluggards. They take money from others only to buy alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. Their language is fowl. They shower rarely. Ultimately they are a disgrace to the working class.
How did they get this way? Many of them have had race contamination, culture contamination and have been raised around lazy people. COGSR has demanded the US government to do drug testing with all their welfare recipients. Also, those who collect any government aid must be put on job programs. If they refuse to comply they must leave the country.
Many of these types of people read books about communist and Marxist principles. Why don’t they move to a communist country? They talk of being “non-violent”. While American soldiers have secured their living arrangement they talk trash about the US military. These people are living in la la land.
Can’t you begin to see that in all of this craziness only God’s help and coming Kingdom will be the ultimate answer to World Peace? However, while we are still walking in our physical bodies down here, we are to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom and at the same time we are to uphold Church Government AND promote the original God ordained government of this great nation!

E. W. King: Democracy Sucks

E.W. King has had another discussion with his angel and he has a few choice words for any American that believes in democracy.  Apparently it has been revealed to him that democracy is mob rule instead of strict top down leadership.  Apparently true leadership was like HWA mob rule.

Shocking truth about Democracy
Now what I am about to reveal may shock some who have been involved in the Worldwide Church of God. You may have never been taught this before. Mr. H.W.Armstrong, Pastor General of original WCG, originally did vote. Mr. Armstrong voted for who was to become the next US President. He did pay attention to politics in his early life. What happened? When he saw that America [Manasseh] was turning from a God ordained National Republic to a Democracy he knew something was wrong. He stated in “Mystery of the Ages” that not to long after World War 2 this nation began losing its blessings.
Why? The United States began to take advantage of the blessings that it was given. One thing that it was given was the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. These documents were given to latter-day Manasseh. Had the USA stuck with the original principles of Manasseh Government the church would have continued to vote for Godly men.
The Worldwide Church of God rejects any idea of Democracy. The WCG believes that all government should be ruled from the top down, not from the “mob” up. God’s original intention was for a US Republic which was based on moral law as found in the Bible and outlined for social government in the United States Constitution. This way man did not ultimately answer to man but to God ordained law. We were originally a nation built on Law.
Latter our country started saying that we are a “democracy” and stopped using the word Republic. This was the beginning of latter day Manasseh’s downfall.
The purpose of C.O.G.S.R. is not to create a religious reformation by the detour of a political organization. We simply are Christians who promote the true National Republic. That is all. The Church cannot blame the people for not upholding true nationalism any more than Nationalism can blame the church for its demise. True nationalism should however have a good and strong spiritual vision to survive. Good theology can indeed offer help in this area, as the WCG strives to do. The American Republic proves that good religion can produce a strong nation. Christianity helped make this country strong, there is no doubting this.
Many illegal immigrants have invaded this country. The American culture was infected by “third-world type” country morals and standards. This began in the 60’s. It has escalated to the point that now we have increased violence and demoralization amongst the middle class. As far as the middle class goes, it almost doesn’t even exist anymore in the state of California.
This is one of the main reasons why America [modern day Manasseh] has been going downhill. COGSR is trying to help reeducate those who believe themselves to be Christian. We are bringing back the true Christian message! Today we see children who dress like trash, talk like trash and listen to corrupt music. They have become drugged with false doctrine, false ideas and are mostly high on marijuana…the drug of the sluggards.
The liberals [sluggards] are a cancer to this great nation and must be confronted by God’s true children. Here at COGSR we are teaching thousands to understand proper and “sound doctrine” so that the coming generation will not be thoroughly destroyed! Families must be strengthened again by the true gospel message of the coming Kingdom of God.
If we look at all the idiots in ruling the Middle East countries we find people like the Syrians. Killing their own people. We find freaks who know nothing about true Americans and our Christian history. Sadly, America is turning into a “third world country” because Americans have forgotten the strength of the true Christian message. The liberal freaks who believe in homo-marriages, divorce, killing babies [Americans] and supporting the communists have truly and powerfully began to destroy this great nation. Don’t you get it?
It is truly time for Americans to home school their children. Get your children out of the heathen corrupt schools, especially if you live in California. We must not be afraid anymore. We must now stand up!
Sadly, American troops are fighting for a country which is falling apart. Our fight should begin right here in America! Fight here and now for the TRUTH!  Parents can no longer put their children in the military thinking that this will protect America. Individual Americans must stand up for the true Christian Message here and now! Get up!
True Christians who understand that the United States is the blessed Manasseh will not sit back and let the pagans invade. We must continue to proclaim the true God ordained message and government, both Church and State government, that God originally intended for us to have. This does not mean that we jump into worldy politics. It means that we stay alert to the signs of the times, pay attention to what is going on in the world and in politics.
