Dave Pack: My god will make all snakes and other mean beasties be good to First Dominion believers

Dave has been working over time in working out his First Dominion.

When people around the world see Jesus walking and working in Wadsworth, they will be so envious that they will want to immigrate so they can share in the First Dominion.  Even though many in the United States and other BI countries will be sorely vexed with God's punishments, Dave's "jesus" will be working with the true Israelites and helping them to be protected from the trials going on around them. Many of these people from around the world (gentles in unconverted nations) will come from countries that have no snakes and will be unfamiliar with water moccasins, rattle snakes and coral snakes.  Because of that, the mean snakes would kill hundreds of thousands of the First Dominion immigrants which would make moot the point of them coming to be trained by Jesus.  No worries though.  Following in the footsteps of COG ministers who claimed God sealed the anuses of the animals on the ark, Dave's god is going to stop all snakes and other beasties from biting people.

Dave's god is superfantabulous!
Every single year—every single year—just in India, 20,000 people die just from cobra bites—just India, just that one snake, in just one year. So when you say I don’t know too many people who die of snake bites in the United States…Well, Israelites live all over the world and people in the Kingdom live all over the world, where the deadliest snakes are. America has four—copperheads; I think, water moccasins; coral snakes, down in Florida…a little, tiny snake, 16 inches long, but deadly if they get you; and various forms of rattlesnakes.
There is the family of rattlesnakes—eastern massasaugas, western diamond backs, and there’re all kinds of rattlesnakes. But the deadliest snakes…you know, the deadliest rattlesnakes, for instance, are in Peru. Most people survive a rattlesnake bite in the United States…a Peruvian rattlesnake get you, you’re dead in five minutes. Nobody survives. But it’s a rattlesnake—they make noise, and five minutes later you don’t hear anything. So these deadly snakes are all over the world.
If God is bringing people into His Kingdom all over the world…I mean, tens of thousands, and thousands and thousands…just hundreds of thousands of people all over the world just die from snake bites. And by the way, God is going to be sending the four sore judgments. He’s actually going to turn animals from the way they are today, to worse, because wild beasts is one of the four sore judgments of Ezekiel 14. So He’s going to take the animals, where God’s people are, and your children can say “Here kitty, kitty” and it’s a 650-pound African lion in the back yard.
On the other hand, you’re anywhere else in the world, and you have access to this Kingdom and you could come…There’s no guarantee that animals will not be a major problem, particularly, for the nations of Israel. So remember, God is going to punish Israel. The four sore judgments are on Israel, so animals are going to turn particularly bad in the nations of Israel, where primarily, they are particularly benign.
The most deadly animals are in Africa and South America…The deadly snakes—7 of the 10 deadliest snakes, in the world, are in Australia. And so God could turn those loose. There are terrible, deadly snakes all through Asia, but you get to Europe and not so bad. And North America, the temperate zones and so forth…Never mind, the wolves and bears, and so forth.
So that promise begins for anybody who responds to God in the Kingdom. Their children can play anywhere. There’d be no problem. You have come into the Kingdom, not into the spirit family of God, but you’ve come into the Kingdom. You’re in God’s holy mountain, and there’s nothing that’s going to hurt you, including accidents.
Now I know there are some martyrdoms…I understand that. There are problems in Judea and other places where certain of God’s people die for purposes I have explained. But it’s critical you understand where God, in His infinite wisdom, chose to tell us about animals’ natures changing. It’s in the middle of a description of That Prophet and Jesus Christ before Christ gets to Jerusalem…I mean, there are a lot of places in the Prophets, Christ could have described that…but right in the middle of it, He says, and also along with this, “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard with the kid; and the calf with the young lion, and so forth. So I just wanted you to understand the timing there has changed…I understand that…from what we saw earlier in the series, and I hope you find that to be very inspiring.

Dave Pack is idiosyncratic by the measures that most of us would use. There are no surprises here.

Can we go on to something else? Unless you can make a good case for why we should care -- I don't want to neglect dire exigencies. Same with Theil or Thiel or whatever his name is.

Maybe God created deadly snakes to remind people of their deadly human counterparts.

David Pack And Gerald Flurry Seem To Always Open Their Mouth Without Thinking And Nothing But Bull Sh*t Comes Out. It Amazes Me How They Could Have People Following Them. The Blind Leading The Blind.

Let's have a test. Let David Pack gather the most venomous snakes from around the world and make the entire RCG campus a sanctuary for them -- sort of a land based modern open air Noah's Ark. This way, everyone can be certain that what he says is true. He should also have pet cobras (convenient for petting) in his home where they can pretty up his living room and bedroom.

So it didn't work so good for Aaron Dean, but that may be the point -- Mr. Pack is really different and will be specially protected.

Don't you guys just love science?

Next week: The Three Bears in Prophecy

If planet Earth is God's ecology system, then the basic laws about thinning out the herd for its own health also apply to mankind. Man has learned to control the factors which would normally thin out the herd of human beings. It is interesting that David Pack would invoke poisonous snakes, as anti-venom has largely neutralized snakes as effective predators on humanity.

In the absence of natural predators, over-population has become an existential threat in and of itself, not only to mankind, but also for the animals to whom man has always been the primary predator. Prophecy basically expounds upon existential threats. The preachers who dwell on the fear of those will always exploit them in an effort to control people and to impliment their own agendas. In Armstrongism, that has engendered the stereotypical controlling hero.

Now come on, Dennis, you know perfectly well that it was *after* Mr. Adam dined on that fruit, that suddenly the snakes (and all other carnivores) sprouted fangs, developed poison, and began to have a ravenous craving for meat. Not to forget, oh, the spiders, whose silky webs previously served merely for dainty decoration, at that moment began to decide their sticky icky webs could be used to capture and devour other little creatures. And the lion sitting down with the lamb, had a fulminant insight that the lamb would taste really really good. And so on...

The whole creation went bonkers, in other words.

David Pack should be cautious on being too relaxed with dangerous wildlife at Wadsworth. He should take warning from a well known expert:-

‘Much as we might wish to believe otherwise, universal love and the welfare of the species as a whole are concepts that simply do not make evolutionary sense’.

‘I am not advocating a morality based on evolution’

‘My own feeling is that human society based on… universal ruthless selfishness would be a very nasty society in which to live’.

‘Be warned that if you wish, as I do, to build a society in which individuals cooperate generously and unselfishly towards a common good, you can expect little help from biological nature. Let us try to teach generosity and altruism.’

(Any guesses who the author is?)

Poisonous snakes not hurt Pack?

Maybe it's a professional courtesy.

The whole of the animal and human world is based on predation etc. There is beauty in a eagle and its marvellous vision enabling it to see rodents from great distances. Then there is the lion and tiger and their hunting abilities. A world of passive cow like creatures all loving each other some how seems pathetic to me. Many of mans achievements are driven by his/her aggressive instincts. When we imagine a world of peace and quiet and love we go back to that image of sitting on a cloud strumming a harp. I know the Bible has the scripture about the lion and the lamb and that was even WCG's crest. Is this a metaphor? and really it doesn't fit in with the powerful God of the Bible full of fury.

Dennis as in 2.38 keeps throwing darts at Christians.

Not so beautiful if you're the rodent...

Not as if the phrase "first dominion" exactly rolls off the tongue, but Dave Pack has either bought the tags that bring up his sites when you google that phrase, or it's so original and identified with him that his sites come up if you type them into your browser.

It's like all the internal jargon associated with Scientology. Soon, the 800-900 people in RCG will be speaking their own little language that nobody else understands.

The splinter groups with their wacky ideas is the very reason I will continue to fellowship with Grace Communion International.

According to posts here, some GCI congregations have been decimated. The remaining members have moved to splinter groups.

And like every other cat, they won't come when they're called....

Besides, what's an African lion doing in an Israelite country family's back yard? Shouldn't the poor thing be in Africa instead?

GCI members have NOT moved into the splinter groups. Why would one leave grace to go and wallow in law keeping?

Byker Bob said...

Exactly. I know of some who transferred into mainstream Christian churches that taught pretty much the same as GCI, though.

There are also splinter members who attend SDA sabbath services when no ACOG is accessible.

BB, thank you for your query. The reason they move when their church numbers dwindle, is to find new church members that they can stalk, rob, victimize, slander, bully. That's why GCI members go to other splinters. They don't give a hoot about church theology. They just want victims.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Anonymous 6:12 pm...I wouldn't worry about the darts of Dennis, they cant hurt you, he has to use them to try and defend his silly fairytale that the bible is not Gods word or that Jesus didn't exist, he will always strive to try and justify what he believes by firing those darts at those who don't believe as he does, just dodge them by ignoring them..
