Imagine if you survived a nuclear war and you had lost most of your family and friends, your home, your city was destroyed, and along comes a merry band of Living Church of God members who will be treating you with justice and mercy. Would you believe them? Can you trust them considering how they act now?
LCG mocks those who try and elevate suffering and injustice today around the world as useless, but fail to understand if they cannot bring a foretaste of that glorious kingdom they long for now, in human form and in times of peace, how in the hell do they expect to be able to do it after worldwide suffering? Oh, wait. They will be gods and goddesses. Problem solved.
Many Christians understand that their lives have been so richly blessed by their faith that they want to help break for the Kingdom of God in the world around them today, one person at a time. Armstrongism has always mocked those who do this as wasting their time. Leave them to suffer now but encourage them that better times are ahead though as long as they persevere. After all, God's going to fix it all in the end so why waste time and money on this now when the church needs it more.
The Path to Justice: We are living in an age when lawlessness, rioting, killing, and looting are viewed as legitimate ways to attain justice (2 Timothy 3:1–5). While it can be a noble desire to eliminate suffering and injustice, the goal of modern social-justice warriors is to solve these problems by human efforts alone. However, there is a God of truth and justice (Deuteronomy 32:4) who hears the cries of the poor and oppressed (Psalm 72:4). This why Jesus Christ is coming back to our troubled world to establish justice and judgment in the coming Kingdom of God (Isaiah 9:6–7). The returning Messiah will need leaders who can rule with justice and mercy and point people to the path that leads to real peace and justice (Isaiah 30:20–21; Ezekiel 45:9). Are you preparing for this vitally important role that will change the world for everyone?
Have a profitable Sabbath,

I agree with Doug here, but one of his issues is that he and others fail to mention how the rulers of the land cause the injustice. He loves to focus on the riots, and looting or protesting in his articles and so forth. And that is the response ( they feel they have nothing left to do). In his last statement or question, Are you preparing…… First of all, in order to prepare to rule with fairness in justice, you have to be on the right side of justice. You can’t be on the side of the confederates, while writing about justice. See in their actions they know very little about justice and mercy.
Wow - another astonishing missive from dangerous Doug Winnail!
Winnail starts by framing those interested in social justice as being "lawlessness, rioting, killing, and looting".
By extension, he's casting efforts to alleviate suffering and injustice as being violent and criminal acts - the kind that have scared his parishioners when they've seen them on tv news.
Doug doesn't want his people to waste their time on efforts to help the suffering around them - for somehow, "preparing for this vitally important role" to be activated when Jesus arrives doesn't involve actually serving their neighbors now - rather, the people are to prepare by giving their money, time, and hearts to his church.
Armstrongism teaches that they have fulfilled the command of Jesus to wash one another's feet by participating in an annual ritual as a part of Armstrongism Passover - one and done for the year!
Doug distorts the command to love neighbors by essentially saying that only God can fix this mess, so no need to reach out to the suffering around you.
Doug distracts the people by lumping those who help the suffering with those who are criminals.
Doug does not teach his people to look to Jesus to make them the people they need to be, to provide everything they need to be future harbingers of justice - instead, Doug teaches that they must prepare for a role promoting justice by giving him their money.
Doug is among the lawless, as evidenced by his lack of preaching one of the two Greatest Commands.
Doug wrote: "...Jesus Christ is coming back to our troubled world to establish justice and judgment in the coming Kingdom of God (Isaiah 9:6–7). The returning Messiah will need leaders who can rule with justice and mercy and point people to the path that leads to real peace and justice (Isaiah 30:20–21; Ezekiel 45:9). Doug asks his followers if they are preparing for some role? How will any of them change anything? Isn't it God who grants/gives one repentance/change?
Well, how prepared is Doug? Will Doug be ready? And if yes, then when?
For example, Jesus Christ will not return to reign on earth until AFTER the Mickey Mouse Millennium (MMM) of 1,000 years, until AFTER Satan, an enemy of God, is loosed from the pit and is put down. That's a long time away from us, today.
That isn't imminent, so Doug and his followers have a lot of time to prepare to be ready for his opportunity to show the world something.
Doug cited numerous injustices taking place, but Satan’s world (2 Corinthians 4:4) is permeated by Satan's spirit of lies, envy, hatred, and violence...kind of like the waters cover the oceans today. Why is that? We don't need to look too far.
For Doug to be ready one would think he will come to understand James' words for Christians: "...The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy..." James 4:5 Yes, that is in Doug Winnail too, in case he has not noticed it yet.
For Doug to be ready one would think he will come to understand Paul's words for Christians: "...sin that dwelleth in me..." Romans 7:17, 20 Yes, that sin is in Doug Winnail too, in case he has not noticed it yet.
For Doug to be ready one would think he will come to understand Paul's words for Christians: "...evil is present with me..." Romans 7:21 Yes, that evil is present with Doug Winnail too, in case he has not noticed it yet.
For Doug to be ready one would think he will come to understand John's words for Christians: "...He that committeth sin is of the devil..." I John 3:8 Yes, that is in Doug Winnail too, in case he has not noticed it yet. And Doug's followers, who didn't seem to learn anything from Doug's very similar message of 16 June 2020, almost 3 1/2 years ago. Why aren't the followers prepared by now? Isn't it time for a new message?
No wonder the Apostle Paul told us this: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]." Eph 6:12
When will Doug and his followers really be ready? Or, is Doug writing in code to tell us that his followers really are prepared, and the rest of us aren't?
Is Doug, driven by another spirit, like an "angel of light" telling us about another Jesus and another gospel? For decades Doug has been waiting for another Jesus to "very soon" begin a 1,000 year reign on earth with all who prepared and ready like he thinks he is, but with the passage of another day...
Time will tell...

What a pathetic warpish attack on mild mannered Winnail. How lacking in basic manners you are, THANKLESS to others but SELF-PITYING about yourself.
How badly you must hurt deep inside NO2HWA that you spend so much of your precious time attacking men who have no opportunity to defend themselves.
Are you proud ? Oh yes your very proud of this sneaky achievement. It's all athiest contributers on here have.
Oh no! Someone is upset!
Hey 11:22: Doug is most welcome to defend himself on this site. Doug is likely to be aware of all that is written about him on this blog because there is abundant evidence that LCG top government visits this site regularly.
Ideally, Doug would defend the harmful things he writes by posting comments on this site, or having an entire article posted.
What NO2HWA, wrote is kind, compared to what I wrote yesterday. I think it would be helpful to Doug and his ministry if he had to try to defend/sharpen his positions, instead of being surrounded by dull yes-men. I theorize that Doug is aware that he is at least a bit off in what he writes to members - but, he needs to keep the members inline and indoctrinated.
If you know Doug, please encourage him to post comments here - we'd love to hear from him!

Yes, they came to life and reigned with Christ for a 1000 years, but there is no mention of "on earth." Revelation 20 has nothing to do with Revelation 5:10, which covers a much later event, after Satan is loosed from the bottomless pit and is killed.
