This podcast episode discusses Bob Thiel's article challenging the traditional image of St. Nicholas. Thiel, an Armstrongist minister, argues that the popular Santa Claus figure significantly differs from the historical St. Nicholas, whom he portrays as a flawed and possibly unsaintly individual. His arguments draw on historical accounts and interpretations of scripture, contrasting with both common perceptions and mainstream Christian theology, especially regarding the Trinity and the veneration of saints. The podcast hosts challenge Thiel's research while emphasizing the need for critical analysis of his perspective, given his unique theological viewpoint and potentially biased source selection. Ultimately, the discussion prompts reflection on the evolution of Christian traditions and the importance of nuanced historical interpretation. Ai-COG

Best part about St. Nicholaus is punching Arius in the face. Pretty sure he wouldn’t be fond of Thiel either.
Sitting here just doing basically nothing but with ‘deck the halls with….’ going through my mind, lol; I came across this online. Hmmmmm.
Hamas leaders dead, Yehiy Sinwar, Ismael Haniyeh, Khaled Meshaal, Mohammed Deif, all gone.
Iranian leadership dead, President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign minister Hossein Amirbollahian, all gone.
Hezbollah leaders dead, Hassan Nasrallah, Ali Karafi, Nabil Kaouk, Ibrahim Aqil, Saleh Ali Arouri, all gone.
Syrian leader Bashir Assad gone. All brutal enemies of Israel and responsible for attacking Israel. And how the Middle East has changed so suddenly. He who curses you will be cursed comes to mind. And did anyone within the Armstrong movement predict this astonishing turnaround? Yeah I know off topic lol.
Interesting discussion. Are these folks complete outsiders to the Armstrong movement? They seem to arrive at the same conclusions as have many of us here, but have different manners of stating them, of should we say understating them. I'm serious in asking that, because who, excepting us, has ever even heard of Bob Thiel, let alone knowing how to pronounce his name correctly.
Constructive criticism for the presenters? Leave the damn war game out of future videos. I found it to be distracting and towards the end of the 12 or whatever minutes, angersome!
Ai-COG podcast war background theme of Vietnam style killing and wandering around seeking human's to put into sniper fire to destroy. How very revealing.
