Rick Shabi suffered a heart attack today after Sabbath services. He is currently in the hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He and his family sincerely request your earnest prayers for his swift recovery and thank you in advance for your support.

I hope he pulls through for his own and his families sake. He has many UCG members around the world praying for him. The sermon he preached yesterday is on UCG Jacksonville Youtube channel.
Hopefully he recovers. Our lives are but a breath. It's a reminder, however to focus on that man in the mirror (yourself), rather than some other prophetic boogie man in the future. "Greater is He that is in you....... " 1 John 4:4).
Yes, our prayers and hopes are certainly with him.
A cynical part of me wonders if a disturbed Tim Kitchen might see this as punishment for UCG holding Aaron Dean as their ecclesiastical hostage. it is sometimes said that there are too many cooks in the kitchen. I think there are too many Kitchens.
ORL/JAX Pastor Richard Kennebeck called this "major" today, perhaps with kidney damage. But apparently Mr. Shabi can speak, and is speaking words of faith.
I don't mean to be a party pooper, but I've spent several hours per week exercising for decades now. So I always wonder if heart attack victims could have minimized this with a healthier life style.
Rick was the best President in my over 50 years in the church. I was already praying for him and his family to survive the heavy stress they were going through in Cincinnati. God bless Rick who out worked all the previous leaders.
Good thing it happened in 2025 rather than 1965. Back then I think all the church would approve of for treatment would be wine and prayer, unless you were one of the elites.
Would your or my photo and name appear on Banned or our names appear in ACOG prayer request announcements if we ever questioned their church doctrines or complained about their high control tactics? It's appears that some people are more equal than others in ACOG-Land.
So, what's your point? That's standard Armstromgism in the ACOGs, 5:48. Gary does a better job here of promoting equality than do the "control units" in the sphincter groups.
Oh I am sorry to hear this. Rick was one of the good ones. I knew him from my days in the Nashville congregation, probably late 1980s or early 1990s. He was always nice to me and my family, and I never detected an ounce of pretentiousness in him. I hope he pulls through and recovers fully.
