The Church of God A Worldwide Association (COGWA) has been in existence for fifteen years, and is described as a great success by Jim Franks in a recent letter to the members (December 2025). According to that letter, the church is reaching considerable numbers of people and now has unprecedented opportunities to reach even more people. All of this, we are told, is the result in part of the church’s disciplined spending.
In previous comments, Jim Franks has highlighted the relatively quick payoff of the loan for the main church office building, and stated that the church website receives approximately 500,000 unique visitors each month. More recently, in September, Jim Franks announced—while standing in front of a bulldozer—the groundbreaking of another building, this time an auditorium.
Before standing up to applaud these developments, church members may wish to look more closely at their local congregations. In my view, many will probably notice that it is largely the same people who have been present year after year, most of them probably over the age of sixty, with relatively few young couples. COGWA members might also consider counting new attendees and, in particular, noting how many visitors actually return. In addition, many COGWA congregations do not meet in church-owned facilities, instead often spending substantial sums month after month on rented spaces. COGWA members that contribute funds may also wish to ask their pastor how much their congregation has paid in rent over the past five years.
From this perspective, the church appears to be following an ineffective model. While the church may have a well-equipped headquarters, much of the rest of the church operates in facilities that limit growth and often do not adequately meet the needs of members, particularly families with children. (The church may acknowledge this but so far the main focus appears to have been meeting the needs of the leadership).
Despite the optimism expressed by COGWA’s current leadership, there is reason for concern that the church is stagnant, rapidly aging, and facing precipitous decline. Those who genuinely care about the church and its future should speak-up together and constructively challenge what appears to be a well-intentioned, but increasingly foolish, ineffective, and misguided path.

December 4, 2025
Dear Brethren,
The Church of God, a Worldwide Association, will celebrate 15 years of operation as an organization on Dec. 23, 2025. That means that January 2026 will mark the beginning of our 16th fiscal year. I bring this up because this month, the Ministerial Board of Directors (MBOD) will once again gather for its annual meeting at our headquarters in McKinney to review and approve a new strategic plan, operation plans for each department, and a new budget for 2026. God has blessed us with the financial resources to spread the gospel in a greater way this coming year than we have experienced in our previous 15 years. For that, we are very thankful and very excited!
I have to admit that for most of my ministry I had never used or even heard the term strategic plan, as applied to the Church. A strategic plan was something I associated with businesses—not with the Church. The application to the Church was something that I came to rather late in my ministry. After all, I knew the mission of the Church because it was laid out in Scripture.
Each year, beginning in 2012, I have been required to present a strategic plan, a series of operation plans, and a budget to the MBOD for its approval. To be clear, everything we do must be driven by Scripture, and it is in Scripture that we are told that our mission is to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the world as we sow the seed in all nations (Matthew 24:14; 13:18-23) and that we are to make disciples and care for those whom God chooses to call throughout the world (John 6:44; Matthew 28:19). That is a simple, yet profound “strategic plan.” It gives us our mission, but we must still determine how to accomplish that mission. There is no doubt about our mission, but how to accomplish it is not clearly laid out in Scripture. When this mission was given in the first century, the means of spreading the gospel were very different than they are today. So, each year we discuss the various ways to accomplish that mission, which was given by Christ to His apostles almost 2,000 years ago.
Recently, out of curiosity, I did an Internet search as to the maximum number of people the apostle Paul would have preached to during his ministry. Most estimates suggested Paul could have reached between 20,000 and 50,000 people during his ministry, taking into account the populations of the various cities that Paul visited. Two of our recent Life, Hope & Truth Presents videos currently have more than 300,000 views each. These are our most viewed programs, yet they are only two of the more than 40 we have produced so far. Our most popular booklet for downloads is the Book of Revelation, and it has more than 150,000 downloads. Our capacity for reaching people today is incredible when compared to just 50 years ago, let alone during the time of the apostle Paul. But how can we use these opportunities to our advantage when spreading the gospel? That is where our strategic plan and our operation plans come in.
As a small organization, we don’t have unlimited financial resources, but we have been blessed with an increase in our income virtually every year since we began, and through diligent oversight of those funds, we have never overspent our budget in any of our 15 years of existence. Because of those two factors—increased income and disciplined spending—we have added additional funds for spreading the gospel this next year, while also constructing a new building on our property that will serve as an education center and auditorium.
With these important factors in place, we have developed a most aggressive and far-reaching plan for 2026. In developing our plan, the five administrators from headquarters (Dave Myers, Doug Horchak, Clyde Kilough, Britt Taylor and I) get together and discuss these three elements: the strategic plan, the operation plan for each department and the budget. Normally we schedule three sessions for open-ended discussions, beginning after the Feast and concluding the week before Thanksgiving. We are required to present these plans to the MBOD two weeks in advance of their annual meeting.
This year the meeting of the MBOD is scheduled for Dec. 8-10. So, our deadline for submitting our plans was Monday, Nov. 24. I am pleased to say we have never failed to make our deadline. This year we sent digital copies of each document on Thursday, Nov. 20, several days in advance of our deadline. These documents are now in the hands of the MBOD for their consideration in advance of the annual meeting.
Our strategic plan doesn’t vary that much from year to year, and this year is no exception. We have more funds than any year in our history, and we now have a plan for using those funds to (1) preach the gospel to the world, (2) sow seed and make disciples in all nations and (3) care for the brethren wherever they have been called. We have members in more than 40 countries, and some areas are very poor and require a greater investment for their most basic needs. Let me list our three basic strategies as proposed for this coming year:
- Preaching the gospel into all the world. In 2023 we added a regular video program to our efforts for preaching the gospel. The Internet has no boundaries and can reach virtually the entire world. We plan to substantially increase our advertising budget for 2026.
- Infrastructure development to provide care for the members around the world. Our membership is in approximately two equal parts—the United States and areas outside the United States. Providing pastors for all our congregations and proper facilities for Sabbath services is a priority for the Church. Each year we increase our investment in this infrastructure.
- Leadership development and training. It is our plan to expand in all areas of leadership development. We currently have seven distinct programs that are being used to provide education for the brethren and to develop future leaders for the Church. This next year alone, we have six U.S. pastors who will retire from the full-time ministry—the most we’ve had in any one year. And in addition, we have two international pastors who will be retiring in 2026. To this point, we have been able to provide new pastors for all the areas where pastors have retired. But we cannot slow down! We must continue developing leadership programs and investing resources in the future for the Church in all areas of the world. Currently, we have three U.S. pastors who are serving outside the U.S. This is truly a sacrifice for them and their families, and we are very thankful for their willingness to take on these assignments. These moves are interim measures to assure continuous pastoral care in all areas while we continue leadership development to fulfill needs within and outside the U.S.
Please pray for the success of our upcoming meetings with the administration and the Ministerial Board of Directors. And please pray for our successful use of the resources God has provided for us as we look ahead to a new fiscal year.
Sincerely, your brother in Christ,
Jim Franks

Franks is either deluded or ignorant if he thinks that someone clicking on a YouTube video is equivalent to Paul preaching a sermon to an inquirer in person. The accurate measure would be to compare Paul's 50,000 personal contacts to the number of non-member individuals who have contacted a COGWA minister to ask about the church. HINT: It's not 50,000.
I cannot understand your constant need to smear COGWA on here.
It’s all done with mirrors lol. All window dressing and the pretence of doing something while actually achieving nothing. A campus/college, a bright new HQ. Seen it all before. The image presented is one of work and achievement. The reality is a dwindling membership and its following decline of income. And a doctrinal blackhole behind the movement. Nothing will come of this. Oh and as to anon at 7:15:04, you must be a newbie here. The Armstrong movement is most worthy of smearing.
Do your thang COGWA we ain’t mad at ya! By the way, you can only smear yourself . This blog can’t do such a thing.
Their COGWA site shows:
The mission of the Church of God, a Worldwide Association Australia, is drawn from Christ's promise that His Church would preach a specific "gospel" (good news) message, continuing the theme of all inspired Scripture: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come" (Matthew 24:14).
The word 'specific' in their mission statement is an interesting one. I take to mean the same gospel their hero Armstrong preached - a narrow/specific gospel which was merely an extension of his futile prophetic inclinations. All of which failed over 50 years.
We may note that “gospel of the kingdom” is but one description occurring in 4 verses. The word ‘gospel’ alone - without ‘kingdom’ - occurs in 99 verses.
They can continue with their 'specific gospel' whatever they choose it to mean and this will achieve nothing because Armstrong's only true variant is not the biblical teaching of the gospel.
We are assured however that it will certainly happen one day as after the work of believers over the ages we read:
''I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth — to every nation, tribe, tongue and people — saying with a loud voice. “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come.”
COGWA smears themselves pretty well all on their own. After all, their church was founded on a lie. It's been all downhill since then.
Any of these small-scale nostalgia groups is forced to use a tremendous amount of imagination and creative thinking to delude themselves into the belief that they are having an impact that is in any way, shape, or form similar to that of Herbert W. Armstrong. People keep talking about a small, elite group.
The problem with that logic is that the small elite group is supposed to be accomplishing a great work, and none of them are. There is nothing in Bible prophecy which could be interpreted as click-bait end times gospel messaging.
Well, shit-fire, Bubba! COGWA fits into the general category of Armstrongism just like the other groups! They deserve the same criticism as the rest of the other toxic splinters. They don't repent of the old man's sins. They still preach British Israelism, don't they?
It's always angry UCG ministers attacking COGWA. They are jealous that COGWA is doing better work than UCG is doing.
Their increase of income since their beginning would probably be from members leaving their estates to the church. It's a sign of a dying church.
7:15. They are rebels from UCG Ministry who thrive on hating others. But this post is full of errors.
I would say from attending a COGWA Tabernacles site years back that COGWA's claim of taking 70% of UCG youth was true. The feast site had alot of youth and younger people and COGWA are emerging as more modern. Their Tabernacles sites have their own apps that engage and help young people and families.
UCG has a major problem with authoritarian middle management who have become job blockers.
Yet 10:22 SInce John Elliot became President, UCG rarely gets a mention these days.....
How do you discern from a lot of anonymous criticisms they are UCG? You must have prophetic skills?
Not 12:27. But it is obvious to anyone with an ounce of discernment skills who the commentators really are.
Whilst you love to nit pick others over grammar, spelling and specific words chosen, your own style of being is easily recognisible, to those who've sat through sermons and read articles over the decades and being subject to your dark side.
Your all not Shakespearean or Agatha Christie skilled as you all think you are.
As someone once remarked: 'Brethren aren't half as stupid as Mr ... thinks they are, and he isn't half as intelligent as he thinks he is.'
Almost everyone that we knew in COGWA 10+ years ago is dead. We no longer attend with COGWA. The "minister" we had in our area, was pretty useless. He has since "retired".
It's been mentioned here (and true from what I've seen) that COGWA skews younger in its attendance than UCG.
John Elliott revealed a couple of weeks ago that he called Jim Franks - and even made a trip to Charlotte to visit Gerald Weston. If it was a unity mission, he came back admitting it didn't work.
The Armstrong problem has always been anchored on the most fundamental level. Their redefinitions not withstanding, Armstrongism has at best a rudimentary understanding of 2/3 of God. And they preach half of Jesus' gospel message. The whole world has watched their prophecy model fail, over and over and over. You cannot reform this, because long term ministers and members (the core) will not support any start-up that claims to correct these three fundamental errors. They are like flat earthers denying the validity of the now superabundance of satellite imagery.
The splinters of today are absolutely powerless, except on the personal level, ie, the rulership role the leaders claim and execute over members' finances, mode of attire, and personal behavior. The elements of fiscal accountability and responsible management are only a part of a whole picture. In order to be effective, these must be accompanied by a proper mission, and must produce verifiable growth in the execution of that mission. The ACOGs are all basing reports of their great successes on what is known as "fudge factors". These are designed to keep the members who fund it all engaged and contributing. However, once again, Moses supposes amiss! Best judge of massive success happens when those who are from outside a group begin to take notice and comment positively about observable, measurable trends. That used to happen back in the 1950s and '60s, before the "Great Disappointment" when organizations which preached a mainstream gospel were astonished by the growth and level of income of HWA's Radio Church of God. The name change to Worldwide was a no brainer at that time.
Anyone can practice fiscal accountability, give themselves a grandiose title and name their church something big and expansive, like "Intergalactic Church of God". It all becomes mute and throttled without the the requisite success of the mission. That's why we hear proof-demanding advertising slogans like "What's in your wallet?", or "Where's the beef?" (appropriate to Armstrongism because it's a clean meat). Instead, many one time members have been repeating quite a different jingle: "I can't believe I ate the whole thing!" (Thank Alka-Seltzer and Howie Cohen for that one!)
Everything we see unfolding around us at this point in history indicates a marked departure from what we experienced throughout the bulk of our lifetimes. And not for the better. It seems to be progressing on a logarithmic scale as opposed to the simple arithmetic scale. People are ripe for solutions, not demagogic oratorical skills accompanied by a deepening spiral of confusion and bad unintended consequences. Armstrongism is part of the current total dearth of effective leadership, not the solution!

Duly noted, 3:27! I made my comment discernable by signimg it (above), and am not a member 🤮 of any of the splinters, nor am I a non-aligned independent Armstrongite.
😁😁😁😁😁!
Best wishes for a happy, healthy, safe and prosperous New Year to everyone! And a spiritually enlightening one 🔐 for all the sunk cost fallacy folks still out there in radio land! 📻

"I cannot understand your constant need to smear COGWA on here."
Well, I'm not sure what you mean by smear. Exposing error is not really smearing in my view. Vengeful over-the-top biased misrepresentation is. There is plenty of both going on in the comments.
As Good As It Gets?
If this is the Laodicea era of the church, then maybe COGWA is as good as it gets.
It looks like COGWA is not perfect. The main thing that COGWA has going for itself is that all the other splinter groups appear to be even worse than it is. In some cases, the other splinter groups are much worse.
The UCG is utterly godless. The LCG is barely living in its sins. The PCG and RCG are downright satanic! The other false prophet and wrong guesser groups are an embarrassment. The little, itty-bitty, nutty splinters are little and itty-bitty and much too nutty.
Everyone wants to start their own splinter group and be in charge and collect the money and make up their own pet heresies. None of these fraudsters on the so-called Church of God scene want to submit to, or tithe to, any of the other fraudsters on the so-called Church of God scene. And none of them seem to be able to sucker in any new people, with the possible exception of the occasional demoniac who comes around to visit them.
The currently existing splinter groups can split and splinter even more and grow in the number of splinter groups, but they cannot increase in the size of any one group.
LCG's ministry is led by a man who tells others to obey the OT statutes, but who himself chose to commit (and hasn't repented of) a marital choice that the Bible calls an "abomination." LCG's overall leader tolerates that abomination. How can ANY sincere believer choose to be a part of that? At least Flurry marries and divorces in accord with Bible guidelines.
Spoken like a true “COGWAite”, rich, wealthy and in need of nothing.
Anonymous on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at 5:00:29 PM PST said, “At least Flurry marries and divorces in accord with Bible guidelines.”
Actually, Gerald Flurry should not have counselled Vicki to divorce her husband and then to marry Gerald Flurry.
It is fitting that a family wrecker like Gerald Flurry should end up divorced himself.
Disgruntled UCG ministers use this platform to mock those of us who believe the truth.
Jim Franks concluded his message with writing:
"...Please pray for the success of our upcoming meetings with the administration and the Ministerial Board of Directors. And please pray for our successful use of the resources God has provided for us as we look ahead to a new fiscal year...."
******
Jim Franks does not seem to be concerned about God's will being done for CogwAss. He is concerned about "...our upcoming meetings with the administration and the Ministerial Board of Directors (MBOD)..." and "...our successful use of the resources..."
Perhaps Jim assumes all of that fits into the phrase of: "Thy Will be done."
Once upon a time Jim believed God worked through one man: HWA.
What happened? Why did Jim and other hirelings of the former WCG go off and form their own manmade United Ass., an Association, and work through a bunch of men on some board/committee? What happened to the idea of God working through one man?
Then, over time, Jim again with other hirelings of the former WCG, and then United Ass., go off with their "bat and ball" to form another manmade cogwAss., an Association, and work through yet another bunch of men?
When will Jim, and all of the other hirelings of the former WCG, learn/believe that God does not work through their committees?
Doesn't the United Ass. and the cogw Ass. have doctrinal committees? I'm not 100% sure, but wasn't it Joe Tkach Sr. who, after the death of HWA, started to have numerous committees?
In Mystery of the Ages, HWA wrote of a millennial Headquarters Church saying: "...One thing there will not be in the millennial Headquarters Church is a doctrinal committee of intellectual "scholars" to decide whether Christ's teachings are true doctrines. There was no such doctrinal committee in the first century Headquarters Church at Jerusalem. All teaching came from Christ through the apostles--and a few times Christ communicated to apostles via the prophets (of which there are none in God's Church today since the Bible for our time is complete). God's Church today, as in the first century, receives its teachings from the living Christ, through an apostle, just as in A.D. 31..."
How did HWA know anything about a Millennial Headquarters Church?
Weren't those who were part of God's Church supposed to be resurrected and then meet Christ in clouds, and then follow Him to heaven to something (John 14:2-3) that was to be prepared for them? If true, then when would they return to earth?
It has to be after the resurrection. How long after that resurrection will they return to earth? 1,000 years later? 1000 years and a little/short time/season later? When is God's Kingdom to be established on earth? Might it be sometime after the 7 Vials/Plagues are poured out?
Of course, if it were after those 7 Vials/Plagues are poured out and some angel says “It is done,” it appears that all life, physical and spiritual, will be wiped out via total destruction (not a 1/3 of this and/or a 1/3 of that as with the 7 Trumps), with the exception of Jesus, Jesus’s God, The God, the Father, the good angels, and the 144,000 Firstfruits. Just who would that so-called Millennial Headquarters Church, or some MBOD, teach? What survived those Vials/Plagues?
But, back to Jim Franks and all of those who enjoy the use of committees: if those hirelings of the former WCG all lacked the faith to believe that God’s power could no longer work through one man, then what makes them think that God’s power would ever work through their manmade committees (composed of many men: e.g 12 men)?
Time will tell...
John
Few things are as clownish as those who decry criticism of cogwa as smearing. These same people ignore/justify the “smearing” by cogwa of non-cog Christians as false Christians without the Holy Spirit.
The only 'demonic' is yourself 1.00.
I had a look at COGWA's monthly magazine. The contents are very plain. They're wearing a intellectual burqa with nothing new outside of their narrow map of reality. Members are giving a fortune to the church, yet all they get is the same canned stuff.
What truth is that?
5:00 Scripture calls no marital choice an abomination.
But you don't expose your own error. One rule for others and another for thee.
Well R.L. if President Elliot really expected some kind of linking up between COGWA & UCG that's bizarre.
Oh?.??? So, now you are the sole arbiter of truth? In the interest of truth, what proof do you have that any UCG minister is posting here? Please, by all means, send your research to Gary in the form of an article so that we can all be informed. I'm sure that many would be happy to know for a fact that there were destructive ministers in UCG attempting to take it down. Without any proof, it appears that you are just making up a bunch of fake crap that nobody cares about and littering the blog with it, like a spastic anus, to get attention for yourself. It was funny the first time or two, but you've quickly worn it out.

Anon, as I read your comment I thought: "This Anon is writing about 'The Emperor has no Clothes,'" because it was the emperor who believed he was very well clothed, until he was revealed, or exposed, by some kid saying the emperor was naked. The story is interesting if one views the two tailors as symbolic of the hirelings of the former WCG, who eventually fled the organization taking anything they could get their hands on when leaving.
I think I agree with Jesus' saying to the Pharisees something similar to what could be said about these former WCG hirelings:
Matthew 15:12 "Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
Is God really blessing CogwAss., United Ass., ...Franks, Elliott, Weston, Pack, Flurry...etc.?
Time will tell...

I left COGWA some years ago, after I felt bullied by the local pastor. He has since retired, but I still get their email updates. Their new pastor seems just like any other, and there is nothing of interest to ever entice me back there.
I'm not 7:36 but i know for a fact UCG Ministry are highly involved in anti COG slander on the internet.

Well, don't be so sure about that. Go see an exorcist and get yourself checked out.
6:32 Very profound comment on Flurry selfishly taking another man's wife only to end up humilated with divorce himself.
Far too many in COG's desire to destroy others marriages. Usually it's desired by bored old women who think it's their right to meddle. But jealousy and envy leads others to aspire to wreck another's marriage.
Flurry married and divorced in accordance with Biblical guidelines, someone wrote?
Who has the facts in this case or are they being covered up and justified again, as is so often the case?
Paul makes it clear that the husband is not to divorce the wife and the wife is not to depart from her husband (1 Cor 7), unless there is evidence of fornication (Mt 19:9).
What happened here? Flurry counselled her to leave her husband, then he counsels with others to marry her, now he counsels to get rid of her? Did Flurry do it by the book or did he break the law? Did he forget about Mal 2:14 after he wrote Malachi's Message years ago? Was there an argument over who gets the inheritance? Was she thinking of leaving PCG and Flurry couldn't stand that? What happened here? You don't just divorce and say, ho-hum, life goes on, no one noticed, no one should care, don't judge me or I'll throw you out, etc.
Typical ministers might answer that it's none of your business when it is, for the sheep are to test the spirits to determine what is of God and what is of the devil. It is our duty and it affects our salvation and reward. If he sinned and doesn't want to admit it, he brings more sin upon his church as a result.
Unfortunately, today, many ministers don't realize that they must confess their sins in order to be a part of the church.
"..the wife is not to depart from her husband (1 Cor 7), unless there is evidence.of fornication (Mt 19:9)."
But adultery isn't just about sex. It's betraying the marriage vow. If one party decides to verbally tear down the other, they are entitled to divorce that person. Soul murder as psychologists called it.
You're a dummy if you confess your sins to others, since they'll use it as a club against you. Our salvation is between ourselves and God and not between ourselves and some minister or organization. One should only confess one's sins to God, if at all. What really matters to God is that people forsake their sins.
Please provide evidence of COGWA or UCG smearing Sunday Observing Christians as 'false Christians without the Holy Spirit'.
As an aside have you given thought to how the extremely nasty cruel insults, that get constantly written in the comments, in tremendous anger, by the team on the blog sort of contradict the accusations you claim others make about Sunday keeping Christians.
Pots calling kettles black comes to mind.
What a muddle!
Many Church marriages are thought to be fake marriages anyway, for decades if truth be told. All facade and career climbing.
With the death of A.C. the power of 'church marriages' crumbled.
1208, Give me a break. I've heard it for decades in the COGs and yes, have attended UCG and COGWA and heard it. It's a critical belief for them.
If you are with COGWA, do you believe and are you capable of saying that Sunday observing Christians are true Christians and have the Holy Spirit? Further, do you believe that is the position of COGWA? If not, you are duplicitous as you have tried to give the impression that COGWA would believe that...and you KNOW they do not. Disgusting.
Exorcist yourself 9:23.
I'm with UCG. You have never attended COGWA in your life.
Maybe I should trade in my UCG bitchez for some COGWA bitchez. Cuz these hoez aint got my money.
So, "on the internet" automatically means that they have infiltrated "Banned"?
As if we even needed their help, by the way!
Oh dear, holy water and crosses. I don't think you can cast'em out that way. Check TBN you too.
A man has 4 wives: one in PCG, one in LCG, one in RCG, one in COGWA and one in UCG. No really, I know a man who was married three times all during his time in the ACOGs. "Love"
157,
So, you won’t deny that you were being deceitful and you know that the cog smears of non-cog Christians are far worse than your hissy fit over cogwa/ucg.
Yes, I attended ucg and then cogwa (so you lied). I finally recognized the cherry picked doctrine and Armstrongist teachings of ucg and cogwa as false.
Only degenerates use terms like "bitchez" and "hoez." What planet are you from?
No-one are having a "hissy fit" only you.
Insults and gaslighting, what a life!
Like your winning at this fiasco of a idea to start a blog.
Could you really be that big headed you thought none of the members would suss you all out.
Bacon munching, swearing, blaspheming and faith all over the show. Living the dream?
Maybe you've preached too much over the years, the desire for power far more than being honest in everything and soild in faith. All an illusion like Garner Ted became. Your not the first and won't be the last.
And like Garner Ted you have to busy yourself trying to destroy anyone who's sussed you out. But truth always wins in the end.
10:39 So King Saul no less was a “degenerate” according to you when he called his own son in essence a “son of a bitch” for siding with David (1 Sam 20:30)?
11:46
My current view is admittedly narrow when it comes to marriage and sex but it’s what I have concluded after studying it for myself ie I believe that sex is marriage and is why it was considered to be the most significant part of the marriage union eg consummation. This is just one reason why God frowns on sexual immorality and if Jesus could describe His generation as “evil and adulterous” how much more now with all the premarital or homo sex, divorce and remarriage etc?! Further I follow what Christ said that those who marry a divorced person are guilty of adultery (Mk 10:11-12; Lk 16:18) and it was God’s intent that 1 man marry 1 woman for life ie no divorce (and remarriage) allowed for Christians unlike in the OT. This explains the disciples natural reactions (Mat 19:10-11).
You overlooked another group. Satirists. Only the obtuse or the COGlodytes would fail to "get" that. Or, people from Uranus.
Keep up with the game, bitch.
If you have Jim Beam in your eyes, how can you see splinters in your neighbor's?
If they are actually sincere in their suspicions, I don't understand why one or two posters believe the main participants here are ACOG ministers. They also seem to have specific names of the ministers at fault in mind. So, who are we supposed to be??? It's time for Anonymous to either name names, or to quit making false accusations. And, if inflation has made it so that you can no longer afford your Reynolds Wrap, leave your address in your comment, and I'll send you some!
I participate here because I'm an avid student of Critical Armstrong Theory. I believe that the systemic evils of Armstrongism should be studied and exposed, so that they can be corrected in such a way that they can no longer hold people back, rip members off, or ruin their lives!

Interesting that the brazen rebels from within the UCG ministry are pushing and goading all over the comments to have names bandied about...desperate times.
When has Byker Bob ever being accused of being a UCG Minister ? Time? Date? Comment? Is BB comment appearing as an own goal.
The problem is that these stupid people who make the false accusations don't specify 1) which of us regulars who go by names, initials, or screen names they believe to be disgruntled UCG ministers, or 2) actually name the ministers whom they believe to be the perps..
I'm simply calling them out to either be specific, or quit trolling. Give the readers information which can be investigated and either proven, or disproven. It is no secret that many consider "ACOG minister" to be the worst pejorative you can apply to a fellow human being. You can't just throw destructive, disruptive terms like that around without supporting your accusations.

1257,
So you throw a hissy fit and try to deceive regarding a core cog teaching while lying directly and when called out you don’t acknowledge any of it. Maybe you should just own up to it.
Hey Bob, I was surprised to learn that I'm a pimp in UCG - but now that I'm a caretaker for a dementia patient for the second time in my life, I've learned sometimes its more fun to play along with the delusions of the unwell than to take it all too seriously. Where the white bitchez at!
Actually, RSK, I like the term "companionator". First heard that on the "Sons of Anarchy" TV series. Jimmie Smits' character "Nero Padilla" used the term to describe his profession.
The problem with most COGlodytes is that they seem to get hung up on one particular flavor of the ladies. Vanilla is good, but Cinnamon, Chocolate and Lemon are really awesome, too!

Rsk=Ana Breeze.
Feeling ok 5:59? You look entangled in your own accusations.
And this blog labels Herbert a pervert.
Sorry, I'm a man, and my name doesnt start with A. But I'd still like to see this Ana Breeze's work lol.
They feel the need to smear all COGs. These are people who cannot get over their need to bring their own unhappiness to others. To just get on with life. They feel the need to criticize and demoralize others because of their own failures and unhappiness in life. Fact, there are COGs who smear themselves, but get on with life man...
Earnestly Contend
Part of following the Biblical instruction in the book of Jude that you “should earnestly contend for the faith” is to reject and oppose the extremely deceitful and vicious false prophets like Gerald Flurry and David Pack that Satan sent against the Worldwide Church of God people.
In fact, with all the false religious leaders that have arisen out of the wreckage of the Worldwide Church of God, a whole lot of earnestly contending needs to be done right now.
Remember that, since the UCG splinter group split some more in 2010 into UCG and COGWA, not even one of the splinter groups out there is now even one-tenth of the size of the Worldwide Church of God at its peak.
