Where do we even start.....
First off, Aaron Dean didn't "commit apostasy and join UCG" in 2010—that's creative fiction. He was around when UCG formed in the mid-90s (he didn't jump in right at the 1995 start because he was helping at the college, but he's been solidly with them for decades, giving sermons, serving on councils, and reminiscing fondly about HWA without ever claiming some secret "pure WCG" throne). The 2010 thing? Probably mixing up the big UCG split that birthed COGwa or something else entirely. Facts are hard when you're on a solo martyr mission, I guess.
As for that "only one left on the Advisory Council from '81–'86" bit floating around in certain Facebook groups and blogs? Sure, some folks (the 5 or 6 Samuel Kitchen enthusiasts) love to spin that Aaron secretly holds the keys to the real WCG like he's the last Jedi. Meanwhile, in actual reality, Aaron's been happily preaching in UCG, calling it home, and not exactly packing his bags to "restore" anything. He's not answering those endless "repent and return" DMs because... he's not interested. Shocking, I know.
And the numerology? 16 years = 2 × 8 = new beginnings? If we're playing Bible math, plenty of groups have claimed prophetic timelines based on sevens, eights, forties, whatever fits the spreadsheet. It hasn't worked out for any of them yet, but hey, 2026 is here and... crickets from the mothership reunion tour. Maybe the telegram got lost in spam.
If being the lone voice crying in the wilderness makes you feel special, go ahead. But declaring everyone else demon-possessed Laodiceans while your "pure" church consists of... you and 5 or 6 other people? That's not restoration; that's a very small Zoom call.
Aaron's probably busy giving another history-of-the-work sermon somewhere in UCG land, completely unaware (or politely ignoring) that he's supposed to drop everything and crown you the new Joshua 2.0. Perhaps take the hint: the "heavenly telegram" might just be wishful thinking.
Carry on with the quest, champ. The rest of us will be over here in the real world, where churches splinter, people disagree, and nobody's got a monopoly on being sin-free.

I wonder what kind of financial package Sam is offering to Aaron. Surely we all have that monthly nut to crack, and must fulfill our obligations in order to remain solvent and viable. A workman is worthy of his hire. Also, it would help if Sam had the witness of God behind him. In other words, if God were sending huge blessings Sam's way as some sort of sign that this is where He is working, then it would be an easy decision for Aaron to make a leap of faith and join in the project.
In the opening to "Bullets with Butterfly Wings", Billy Corgan sings, "The world is a Vampire". And it kind of is. It can be a vacuum which, over time, consumes certain people and things which some have made the center of their lives, and are loath to give up. Time, attrition, friction, passing fashionability, and general dilution of interest have all created that giant sucking phenomenon which has diminished Armstrongism to its current sad (or happy, depending on ones perpectives) state of affairs. Once the dynamic outreaching source of a gripping communal message that attracted large numbers, over the past decades the movement has largely taken on an internalized nurturing function, one in which small mercurial groups nostalgically maintain the hopes and rituals, each COGnizant of the other groups which maintain a parallel existence, yet can never seem to reunify in order to accomplish the "work" for which its founder groomed them to believe that they were the appengages whose sole purpose in life was to get that work done. Those still committed have been watching for the hand of God. They long for the emergence of that hyper-blessed group, the one which obviates their required next steps as mandated by the prophetic musings of HWA. This, of course, is hypothetically based upon the premise that HWA was what he said he was, and not just a clever exploiter who built an enterprise, fooled lots of people, and died with the most toys, having won. The existence of the current and continuing vacuum has given some the hopes that the jury is still out on this matter, and ultimately will provide vindication for the way in which they have lived their lives.
As these groups continue to slowly circle the drain, there have been numerous individuals claiming to be that emerging leader, the one whom God has chosen to lead and finish the end time work. These individuals have had us to observe, record, evaluate and discuss their activities. Each one has used their powers of persuasion and resources to convince us that they are the one, the final heir to Herbert Armstrong's mantle. The monsoon for which people were looking has always translated into virga, rain which sublimates prior to reaching the ground. And yet, there was something distinctly etherial about Jesus. That etherial quality is what drew huge numbers to Him, ushering in the birth of Christianity. It was and is something which people can feel by the seat of their pants. It has not manifested itself through any of the pretenders to the throne from the Armstrong movement.
Where's the beef? Don't tell people you have it. Prove it! Let them see and taste it!

Aaron Dean most definitely does N-O-T need any kind of financial package. I took his family finance class at AC in the 90’s where he mentioned that he and his wife had reached the point financially where the inheritance his kids would receive would be hit with the estate tax, so they would have to figure out how to move some of the money to protect it.
BTW, don’t jump to conclusions. I’m not making any sort of statement regarding his WCG salary or benefits. He actually was quite frugal, but very savvy from an investment standpoint.

Herbert Armstrong was the foundation, edifice, and altar of the Worldwide Church of God; but he wasn't any of those things in God's ekklesia! Indeed, in terms of that body, he didn't even meet the qualifications of an elder. Now, the real apostles (those guys who were with Christ and guided the ekklesia in the First Century of the Common Era) instructed their brothers and sisters in the faith to follow them AS THEY FOLLOWED CHRIST! Moreover, the faithful made sure that what they were saying was consistent with the Hebrew Bible and what Jesus Christ had taught. In other words, they didn't automatically accept everything they said just because they were apostles! Finally, the members of THE ekklesia are identified by their love for each other and those who are still on the outside of the assembly.

The problem with that statement is that Flurryism is NOT based upon the Word of God, and God is NOT part of the foundation of the PCG cult. Hanstead House is a failure, like everything else in Armstrongism.
