It is hard to believe that 25 years have passed since the World Trade Center was attacked by Islamic extremist vermin. Today, in 2026, an entire generation knows very little about that horrendous day. The entire world stopped and watched. Some in Gaza cheered and celebrated. Europeans were shocked. Commercial air travel evaporated within hours. Inbound international flights were diverted to Canadian airports, where citizens of small towns opened their homes, schools, and churches to care for thousands of stranded travelers.
The only known Church of God member working in the World Trade Center that morning was Adrienne Johnson of the United Church of God. She worked on the 37th floor of one of the towers and escaped safely with coworkers. The United Church of God issued a statement the next day confirming that all its members were accounted for and expressing horror at the loss of life.
Here on the West Coast, Pasadena shut down and the streets were empty. I remember the Ambassador College campus and the surrounding area being totally quiet. At noon I went to Circuit City to buy a portable radio with an earpiece so I could follow the news while I worked. Authorities were anticipating a possible attack on downtown Los Angeles, so much of the city effectively shut down.
Three of the four hijacked flights-American 11, United 175, and American 77-had been scheduled to fly to Los Angeles International Airport. That is why so many of the passengers were heading to Southern California, and why LAX and downtown high-rises were placed on high alert and partially evacuated that morning as a precaution.
Al-Qaeda had considered West Coast targets in earlier planning. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed originally proposed a larger operation striking landmarks on both coasts, including the Library Tower (now the U.S. Bank Tower) in downtown Los Angeles. Osama bin Laden scaled the plan back to the East Coast for September 11. A later "second-wave" plot to fly a plane into the same Los Angeles tower was discussed after 9/11 but was disrupted in 2002 before it could be carried out.
The various Armstrongite Churches of God, of course, wasted no time slotting the attacks into the prophecy charts they had been updating since the 1930s. By September 12 the United Church of God had issued a pastoral letter of genuine shock and grief, then immediately noted that all their members were safe. Other splinters (Living Church of God, Philadelphia Church of God, etc.) followed the same script: horror, prayers, then the inevitable Leviticus 26 citation. "I will even appoint terror over you... I will break the pride of your power."
According to Armstrongite mythology, America is modern Manasseh, one of the lost tribes, so of course God would use terrorists to humble the pride of His favorite (if currently very disobedient) nation. Gerald Flurry of the Philadelphia Church of God was particularly pleased; he had already declared in May 2001 that the world had entered its "last hour," and 9/11 arrived right on cue to prove he was paying attention. Sermons and articles for years afterward treated the attacks as both a divine warning and further evidence that only their particular remnant was delivering the real end-time message. They also liked to point out that the death toll "could have been much worse," which in Armstrongite theology is usually presented as God's mercy rather than, say, the fact that the hijackers only had four planes.
By this time the Worldwide Church of God had already abandoned most of Herbert Armstrong's distinctive doctrines by 2001, so the prophetic heavy lifting fell to the competing successor groups, each of which remained convinced it alone understood why the towers fell. It was an orgy of melodramatic end times malarkey from the splinters, and today, in 2026, the competing COG groups will put out articles marking this as the start of America's decline that they so vitally need and wish for. They so desperately need to be proven right.

9/11 doesn't fit in with the Armstrongist scenario at all. Why should we be harried by forces from the Middle East. It is Western Europe and notably Germany, the Assyrians, that should be leaning on us. The various Armstrongists groups are just trying to make hay from something that they didn't predict.
Scout
Indeed, that was the problem that day.
I woke up in mid-morning, heard and saw the news, and immediately thought Europe MUST have done it - uniting overnight (so fast it will make your head spin, some ministers might say) and launching the attack because it couldn't stand G.W. Bush.
Only LCG claimed to have indirectly "called it" - pointing to a warning article about al-Qaeda during the summer. But it was completely NOT what COG's were preaching about the "real" threat to the U.S..
P.S. There was some confusion about Ms. Johnson of UCG for a few days - whether she was dead or alive. That was frustrating for some of us..
Yes indeed Scout. There is a lot they didn’t predict and were probably gobsmacked by what has happened over the past decades. I remember hearing Raymond McNair saying to us here in NZ that the USSR must remain strong, as it was falling apart. Didn’t meet the prophetic profile of the Armstrong model. And the gulf war one and two, and trying to explain it through the writings of the ‘minor’ prophets like Obadiah etc etc. Here we are years later and the world is vastly different from what we all thought was written in stone and was the truth as we were lead to believe. Cursed is the man who trusts in man. These men and groups have been found wanting. Haven’t we all, sigh. His grace sustains us all thankfully, and we all know the Armstrong model was flawed and deeply so. Tragic advents 9/11.
It's also the approach and persistence of the Armstrong model that is flawed. And the thing is you look back at (if you can find them) UCG, LCG, PCG magazine articles on their prophecy articles the past 25 years and it falls short of what's happening and more importantly why things are happening. So when something happens in the middle east or Asia or Europe they scramble to make it fit the Armstrong model (like the fall of the Berlin Wall). Each group of ministers/writers keep doing the same approach. Even when you had listened to any of the sermons back in the 90s from Worldwide or Global, whenever they started mentioning what would happen in the middle east or Europe and look in the current day (two decades later), you find yourself going "these guys don't what they are talking about." You have to sort of skip that part of the message or just ignore it. Looking back it's kind of embarrassing.
Surely, even the most stalwart of all the COGlodytes have to realize that the founder, and leaders of their church use a surgical steel shoehorn and lots of grease to make their applied interpretation of prophecy even remotely fit what is actually unfolding around us all! They are totally clueless and thus diminish the quality of their members' lives while punishing them with delusions of their being the actual illuminated ones, the gatekeepers, the ones assisting in navigating the end times. What a disappointment!
We live in times when the Pope is American, our felony president is ruining America in his quest for revenge against those who attempted to hold him accountable for his ego-driven run away megalomaniacal acts, global climate change has already taken planet Earth beyond the point of no return as if it were an out of control nuclear melt down, and the Germans are actually the voice of reason and moderation. Who'd a thunk? You can deny all of these things and proclaim, "Oh, just wait!" but it does not make reality go away!
When will these poor deceived people realize that they are being exploited, manipulated, and forced to embrace a way of life which is a total exaggeration of anything contained in the pages of their Bibles, and which only exists for the benefit of their fat cat leaders who covet the reverence normally reserved for God Himself? It makes no sense at all. It is akin to insistence that pouring gasoline on a fire is the only way to put it out!
I had once thought that 9/11 would be a cause for great multitudes to come to their senses and to leave Armstrongism. Especially coupled with the double whammy of the mapping of the human genome. The ship has sunk, yet those in the water somehow believe that the sharks which are circling them are the rescue team! And the leaders wonder why their message no longer resonates with great masses of normal people! The broken Cuckoo Clock may indeed be right twice a day, but the little birdie no longer comes out and announces its presence.
You don't even know what the various Churches of God wrote and said about 9/11.
You always do what you accuse the Churches of God doing yourselves.
Using 25th anniversary of 9/11 as an excuse to have a bitter go at COG is awful.
Sep 11 was a turning point for me in many ways. But, it definitely made me quit listening to all the COGs on their stupid prophecies. Not a one warned about Islamic terrorism in the 80s, 90s, or pre-2001. It was all Europe and especially Germany. Made me realize they had no special knowledge.
I know the splinter that I was in when the 9-11 happened, they decided to use the word “terror” in Leviticus 23 as it relates to end time “Israel”, which is classic Armstrongism. They still use that tactic till this day. They act like terrorism never happened before 9-11. It’s silly really when you think about the human atrocities that have happened to different groups around the world. Teorrism and terror attacks happen across the globe. I know one thing, it changed our country and it changed the way we travel. Stay safe everybody.
Exactly, 7:30, they got the wrong religion! They think it's going to be the Catholics! More of his slop! Alexander Hislop to be precise!
Yea the Armstrongist prophecy model of end time Ephriam, Manasseh and Assyria is always at the forefront. And they always want their members to stick to the trunk of the tree (meaning stick to what HWA always spoke about). But in reality the people in Europe are dealing with energy crisis, birthrates, elderly population, climate change (as 35,000 died from the heat this summer in Europe), immigration that they don’t want. And many of their young adults also moving abroad for better jobs which creates a brain drain. I totally understand it. But yea you have these splinter ministers that don’t care about the reality and reasons behind what goes on in a region. It’s always watch out for Europe with their interpretation of a scripture!!!! Funny how it’s never Paul Revere’s midnight ride, “The British are Coming.” Every part of the world has issues.
I had not realized the extent to which the health of the lucky ones, the survivors, were affected until listening to a discussion on long term health aspects on NPR the other day. There has been a phenomenon in NYC called "the 9/11 cough". People have actually died of this, in addition to many cancers and other ailments. When the buildings collapsed, the debris clouds contained powdered glass which people breathed, particularly the workers and first responders at ground zero. The extent of this damage was largely unknown until autopsies were performed many years after the event, as people died early deaths. The death toll has been much higher than those known to have been killed in the actual event. We know this from what was found in desd peoples' lungs.
As for Armstrong Church of God members, at some point they all chose to believe in the prophecy model which was a huge part of Armstrongism. I suspect that bias confirmation caused their beliefs to actually deepen, because although the event did not fit the model, in their minds it exemplified punishment, and typified what could happen in the future, providing a lesser foretaste. Same as other disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, the Covid episode and the presidency of Donald Trump. In 26 years of commenting on these "dissident" sites, there has not been commentary supporting the idea that numerous people leave these churches due to "unprophesied" events.

MY COMMENT:
Words Not Said
In review of my Sabbath Service notes, I am struck by the things that were not said from the Worldwide Church of God pulpits. For a church that prided itself as being God’s one and only true Church, and also prided itself on its special understanding of bible prophecy, I am amazed by the events that have occurred since the failed 1972 prophecy that were never mentioned by “God’s ministers” in their prophetic sermons of the 1960s or early 1970s.
As examples, while Richard Nixon was referred to as an end time President, there were never any prophecies of Ford, Carter, and the Reagan revolution, the Bushes or even Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Donald Trump. I don’t recall any 1960s sermons that predicted the internet, or prophesied the rise in the American prosperity of the 1980s and 1990s. I heard no prophetic sermons foretelling the demise of the evil Soviet Union empire or warning that Islamic radicals would be a threat and someday would slam airplanes into buildings (the September 11 attackers did not look German).
We were constantly told by Garner Ted Armstrong on radio that the “pride of America’s power had been broken”. Herbert W. Armstrong stated in a Feast of Tabernacles sermon on October 4, 1971: “We are here for a purpose. The United States has no purpose. That is one reason why the country is going down”. So, there were no 1960s or 1970s prophetic sermons that predicted America would ever be successful in any future military actions. We were mis-lead by the Armstrongs and the Church to believe that America was in its prophetic decline at that time and that America had won its last war. I remember recalling Armstrong’s words during the liberation of Kuwait during the successful 1991 Operation Desert Storm.
More importantly, there were also no sermons recorded that instructed people to plan their life for a whole lifetime – 20, 30, 40 or 50 years or more out into the future. The message of Armstrong’s Worldwide Church was always the same: 1) time is very short, 2) “The Work” must be completed, and 3) send more money to headquarters to finish “The Work”. As widely documented elsewhere, we now understand why the constant plead for money from Armstrong and his minions.
I remember Herbert Armstrong once wrote an article to church members instructing them to prepare themselves for a decline in their personal standard of living. In Co-worker letters and service notes, members were constantly badgered for money – over and above their various tithes. But for many outside the sect, standards of living improved during the prosperity of the 1980s and 1990s. Certainly, as well chronicled on the internet, Herbert Armstrong’s personal standard of living did not decline during his ministry from the 1960s forward. Armstrong and his minion’s massive miss-use of money extorted from members is a matter recorded by many in writings on the internet. While Armstrong lived the opulent life style of the super rich, he was telling rank and file members to prepare for a decline in their personal standard of living. The word “hypocrite” certainly comes to mind.

Right you are! At this very same time and clear up until he died, he was living a life of catered opulence. Rare art and antiques from England and Paul Revere's silver, he was surrounded by opulence and had a with staff who catered to his every desire. Wines and spirits of the highest quality were own hand for righteous tipples as the Apostle watched professional wrestling, Lakers basketball and old Westerns, on the most expensive tv you could buy at the time, on the supposed "holy" sabbath. They even flew in from Harrods of London certain teas/breakfast times and kitchen towels. They even paid to ship his Rolls Royce from Bricket Wood to Pasadena. No American kitchen dishtowel was approbate for the Apostle! As members were told to lower the income and expectations they spent more and more money in Pasadena. God's elite must be take care of!
the Apostle watched professional wrestling,...
Wait... what?!?!
A "sport" dismissed as a "farce" by field ministers? An athletic version of a
"ready-made daydream" for people to "screen, moan and wail" over?
Ric Flair spoke about "walking that aisle." But HWA and WCG never practiced that.
People wonder why I partied riotously for several years following the collapse of 1972-75! Others in Pasadena were doing that as well! Pure elation! Then, as it sunk in that instead of dying at age 27, I would be living a long life, I got into health, physical fitness, career, and indulged my hobbies with classic cars, motorcycles, karate, firearms, and guitars. Oh, and obtained therapy for all the damage Armstrongism had done which I had identified as preventing me from excelling in the business world.
I understand why certain personalities lent themselves to remaining in the group. There were a few surprises along the way regarding people I would never have thought would leave, but for the most part I knew in advance the people who had that basic need to remain. Won't say anything unkind about them, because they are simply doing some things with their freedoms that are different from the ways in which I exercise mine.
Since sabbath services, were always closed with a final hymn, and this is Saturday morning, I'll will close this comment out with a quote from THE great apocalyptic rock epic, Dylan's "Desolation Row", the final verse. In many unexpected ways, the words of that song have ended up encapsulating the WCG experience many of us underwent, and has become a hymn to me. My interpretive comments are in parentheses.
"Yes, I received your letter yesterday,
About the time the doorknob broke (1975)
When you asked me how I was doing,
Was that some kind of joke? (You believe people who left live cursed lives)
All these people that you mentioned, (people who stuck with the group)
Yes I know them they are quite lame.
I had to rearrange their faces,
And give them all another name. (In my comments on the dissident sites)
Right now I can't read too good (having attained advanced age at this point)
Don't send me no more letters, no.
Not unless you mail them from
Desolation Row!" (in other words, unless you've also left)

Worldwide picked the worst time in American history to have an apostasy and break up their little empire church which was the mid 1990s. As mentioned before the 80s and 90s were the prime earning years for the boomers. Armstrongism in the 20th century also never predicted arab islamic demographics would migrate into Europe. This is because they don’t view America as an empire (or soft empire). All these recent wars we have been having in the past 30 plus years it’s been the arab groups and to destabilize their regions. Since the 1972/1975, it’s been their prediction & not prophetic.
Good comment, 9:16. There is prophecy regarding the sons of Ishmael being in a perpetual adversarial relationship with the descendants of Isaac. Ishmael is also described as being a wild donkey of a man. HWA paid lip-service to this during the 6 day war, visited Arab leaders, befriended some of the more moderate ones, and told them that Allah's will was for peace. But he never prophesied the extent of the Islamic revolution which began in Iran in 1979, and the extent of its far reaching global consequences today.
It is unsettling and disturbing, but basically, if you give this a truly objective look, Muslims, and Iran, have followed the track anticipated by HWA for the Catholics and Germans! Look at the terms being used! A global jihad has been ordered to bring mankind into conformity with the will of Allah, and the USA has been referred to as the Great Satan. You see nothing that remotely compares to this emanating from the RCC or Germany! That was apparently a misread by HWA based upon the global occurrences which were unfolding while he was in his prime years during WW-II! What could he do when the Allies emerged victorious, dividing up Germany? To preserve his integrity, he HAD to proclaim "game not over" and insist that Hitler had survived, was in hiding, and would soon return. Since Hitler was an early enthusiastic user of methamphetamines, of course he appeared to be demon possessed! The Hippies even knew that!
The offensive odor which HWA created through his bogus prophecies did eventually dissipate, as Hitler's birthdate eventually made a comeback unlikely if not impossible, but this did not preclude HWA from speculating about Franz Josef Strauss who died in 1988 (actually outliving HWA himself, who had passed away two years earlier in 1986). And, of course, the Joes Tkach never assigned a new Beast identity! The ACOG leaders and Bob Thiel have been chewing on that one ever since!
Wouldn't it be nice if there were real, and accurate guidance in the interpretation of endtimes prophecies? That would be such a blessing and a gas! I'm so sorry if I'm so jaded, but I have a real problem with any of these wannabee prophets that wants my tithes and threatens me with the possibility that I am Laodicean for listening to their competitors!
I remain convinced that Armstrongites, William Miller, and the Adventists do not know their anus from a hole in the ground!
BB
Naw brother, This aint about the Nature Boy. It’s about his rival Dusty Rhodes (that’s us), the American Dream (now gone).
No Respect No Honor!!! There is no honor among thieves (Armstrongites) in the first place. He (HWA) put hard times on Dusty Rhoads and his family (that’s us). You don’t know what hard times are daddy. Hard times are when the textile workers around this country are out of work, and got four, five kids and can’t pay their wages, and can’t buy their food. Hard times are when the auto workers are out of work and they tell them go home……………

And BB, put some Greatful Dead on, you wearing that Desolation out!
Grateful Dead did Desolation Row in many of their concerts. I keep mentioning it because nobody has responded by commenting that they Googled it, and realized that the various metaphors really do resemble the WCG, Herbie, Teddy, and the rest of the cast of characters. But, I can take a hint. Haven't mentioned the Who' s The Seeker in a while. That's got some identity to it as well!
BB
Yea, you would have though the Germans had attacked us on Pearl Harbor, but it was the Japanese.
BB years ago I ran across two young men that reminded me of the story you tell about partying after 1975 failed prophecy. Because you had the rest of your life you wanted to live and congrats to you for that. But these two young men were like seniors in high school when the apostasy happened in Worldwide. And guess what, they were like 17 or 18 and they made the decision to finally play high school football (friday nights), because there was no church for them to really go to as they were in limbo. They talk about how much fun they had in that small window of freedom. Your story of partying was like theirs. Cheers mate!
Oh and I googled it BB. Dylan and Joni were the best at telling stories.
Kudos for those young dudes, 6:45. I would have liked to be part of the football team in high school. In my neighborhood we were constantly playing sandlot football. Track was the one sport which did not have the meets on Friday night or Saturday. I found my niche as a long distance runner. My WCG parents were not supportive in that they did not attend my meets as did the other parents, but It's OK because I had already learned to function just fine on my own motivation. Good life skill! Made a lot of lemonade from Herbies lemons!
BB
Good observation, 6:18! Also, despite the Balfour Declaration of 1917, Israel had not rebirthed as a nation until May1948. Jesus' Olivet Discourse, or Prophecy, has since been interpreted in light of that by numerous theologians. Even that interpretation is rapidly becoming passe. HWA had initially used the WWII generation as the one which would not pass for his 1972-75 model, then switched to the Baby Boomers who are currently dying off. I'm thinking once Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are gone, Herbie's later model is also kaput! Had HWA's teachings on prophecy truly been inspired by God, he would not have bungled his way through the jungle with these flagrant errors.
BB
The real threat to the USA is the deep state. And what do the Armstrong churches say about that? Diddly. Some of them put people out for "conspiracy theories".
Good points BB, as it seems as though things have to start happening in the world so that interpreters can start prophesliyng. Currently now some ministers (outside Armstrongism) preach that there will be a two state solution in order for Zech 14:1-3 to be true. But who knows? By the way, Frank Beard, passed a month ago, what a band, ZZ Top!
That was a sad one, 12:51. Glad I got to see them live about half a dozen times. First time, Aerosmith was the opening act for ZZ. But, my favorite was the concert that the Elvin Bishop Group opened for them. Also saw them with Skynyrd. Frank Beard was one helluva drummer!
10:44 The deep state, what went on in Gaza, Epstein Files, data centers these are not in the Armstrong model of prophecy. They are not going to speak or write main articles about these things. They have to hold on to the coattails of HWA model and the model that was in place from the 60s and 70s.
The Armstrong churches are so dense that when the Trump admin attacked Iran, they wrote articles about how Iran is evil and they want the end of America. Then near the end of their articles they will write, "nations will not learn of war anymore" LOL I mean personally I am not a fan of Iran, but we attacked them first, so they are suppose to not respond? These guys are a joke, I am not following them anymore or give them anymore of my money.
I take climate change very seriously, 7:37. However, when I read your sentence about the 35,000 heat-related deaths this summer in Europe, I asked myself "How can this be?" That figure just did not seem reasonable, let alone real. So, I Googled "How many heat deaths in Europe this summer?" and was astonished to find that, yes, that is indeed the number! Hard to hear that number and dismiss it as simply a bout of nasty weather! Of course, it would be an Armstrong Shibboleth to call it a punishment for legalized abortion, or gays living in those regions, etc. African equatorial weather in Europe can only be the result of the jetstreams which deliver our weather being altered, shifting north.
Funny you should mention that. Apparently "the Cow" believes that UCG has its version of the deep state, and that Banned is it!
LOL funny, yea it's pretty cool Banned is the Deep State. That means we are doing our job! 😊
What was sad was the death of Cliff Burton, Metallica's bassist, he was just 24 freaking years old. "For Whom The Bell Tolls"
Man that's sad, parents so steeped into Armstrongism they don't even wanna see something their son is good in. Yea, you kept the good attitude.
6:09. Just off my office I have a room staffed with COG interns from various COG groups that do research and feed me a constant stream of information from various COG groups. They use their contacts and find ministers we can convert over to our side. Some we can convert rather easily, but some have hardened hearts and are not open to New Covenant truth so readily. They take more time to convert, but we have a 75% success rate. That's better than the COG recruitment rate for new members. The US State department regularly recruits them into the NSA, Secret Service, CIA and FBI where they can put their real talents to work. The spy network of Armstrongism has trained them well. They have found that young people trained in the COG environment are loyal employees and great at finding traitors and disloyal people.

MY COMMENT –Interesting comment Byker and one that isn't discussed much as I can relate. I think what you are alluding to stems from the fact that the WCG taught its members that they were “the weak of the world; they were base things”. Not many mighty now are called. I know I did not feel good about myself in the years I grew up in the Church and the feelings of inferiority that the Church helped nurture stayed with me for many years. Thus, I sold myself short in a number of instances in my professional business and personal life because I didn’t think I was worthy of good things happening to me. To excel in the business world requires confidence, and the WCG use to beat down its members’ confidence treating them as doormats. Although the Church prepared me for a 1972 German attack, the Church did not prepare me for the competitive business world, or for life itself for that matter.
Richard
NO2HWA, I've been wondering where you have been gathering your intel. What we do find are sometimes ministers of armstrong that find their way on to the site (Skynet). Their responses are funny and sad at the same time.
I'd say possibly 50% success rate on turning people against their own beliefs "NO2HWA". Added with stir up trouble, division and disasters just before Tabernacles and for some individuals before every holy day.
But the tide is turning, it's all wearing threadbare lately and your commraids seem jittery and you've even had to stoop to humiliating yourself at times in recent months.
And after years of striving, you've lost as many as you gained and exposed yourself as a liar. betrayer and grave danger to those who trusted you the most.
You think the dead will never rise again and find out what you've done. That you'll be praised for your mischief instead of held to account.
Yes, I went through many of the same things as you described, Richard. And you are right, we don't talk enough about that! In the mid 1980s, my boss bought me a brand new company truck, and $100,000 worth of equipment to sell, and made me the sales manager for his mailing products division. It just blew me away that he would do that! When someone places their trust in you to that extent, you have to pull out all the stops, get up to speed quickly and produce for them! That's when I knew I had to get rid of the tons of bad baggage that was dragging me down, and so I sought out some good therapy.
Negotiation is the backbone of business and commerce, and there was no such thing in Armstrongism. Can you imagine negotiating with your minister? I know we certainly were not permitted to negotiate with our parental units! So, I had zero skills in that area, and had to learn how to negotiate. That made a huge difference!
Secondly, my life long method of dealing with authority figures was confined to ignoring them as much as possible. They were the ones who made my life problematic. In business, you are dealing with the decision makers all day long. So, my therapist helped me in terms of acting in adult mode, as an equal to the authority figures. Surprise, surprise, in business, authority figures actually prefer to consult with and deal with people who operate on the same level as they. They don't consider that to be rebellious, it is a strength. They trust strength!
Therapy got me started in the right directions, and training and experience took care of the confidence deficit. Later, I worked for a company that had been Xerox-owned, but the new owners realized the value of the Xerox training and retained it. So, much of my training from that era was Xerox-based. There was also a lot of hard work involved, but I've just been so fortunate and blessed in the years following 1975 and the couple of years after that ehich I kind of blew off partying, getting the Armstrongism out of my system. But, again, I was very fortunate in that I had only spent one 19 year time cycle in it.

Your catty remarks No2 designed to mock us, prove once again that you are a manipulative minister out to destroy the God’s church!! Every time you mock us you go deeper down the hole to destroy us. We have your number and it’s about to be up!
Brave remarks 7:41, i thought i fought alone.
7:41 "out to destroy God's church." Well, which one? LOL
Cowboy
That’s a great testimony Byker, and I love how you mentioned the points about leadership and consulting other authority figures and how good leaders don’t consider that to be rebellious.
When you look at Acts 15 and the Jerusalem Council, it seems as though Peter is the leader, then James comes in with his leadership. Then Paul and Barnabas who are the missionary leaders give their report as James gives the final decree. Peter wasn’t mad at James who wasn’t even one of the original twelve. They give each other respect and understanding. They are about the Father’s business but nobody is stepping on each other’s toes.
