Gerald Flurry: The PCG is FIRST After Jesus Christ!

In the September/October issue of Royal Vision, the chief narcissist of the Philadelphia Church of God, Gerald Flurry, makes the claim again that his book, Malachi's Message, is equal to the Bible and is spoken about in the Book of Revelation.  Even though Gerald Flurry plagiarized the entire book from Letters to Laodicea, by Jules Devraes, he still claims it as his own. 

“This chapter 10 [of Revelation] has been virtually overlooked,” Mr. Armstrong wrote in the February 1977 Plain Truth. “I did not comment on it in the earlier days, or expound it when I wrote this outline of the book of Revelation, or the full booklet on the Revelation.” Then he talked about the little book. He concluded: “The Apostle John in his vision is told to take the little book, which is open in the hand of the angel, and eat it up. How like Ezekiel’s prophecy!” It is very much like Ezekiel’s prophecy because both are talking about the same little book: Malachi’s Message. That book was revealed shortly after Mr. Armstrong died. This is a critical part of the Work in the end time because if you don’t understand the little book, you’re lost. The book of Revelation begins with God and then, in chapters 2 and 3, describes the seven eras of His Church. So the order of things is God first; then God’s Church eras, the firstfruits.

Because Flurry considers himself to be the greatest human man to ever have lived, right after Jesus Christ, it's only natural that he places his cult immediately under Jesus Christ in the hierarchy of the church.

God gives this Church a lot of prominence here and makes us realize how important this responsibility is! We must see the importance of this message. Jesus Christ is the Head of this Church. The God of Ezekiel is the one who became Jesus Christ. The God of Ezekiel 1 introduces the PCG first, after Himself. That is the supreme honor given to us. That honor is given only to those who do this Work in the “last end.”

Every single splinter cult of Armstrongism places themselves directly under the Jesus Christ in their power structures.  This myth is a carry over from the organizational charts that the old Worldwide Church of God used to publish.  Those charts seemed to surface every time a major church upheaval was happening.  The church used that power structure as a weapon to denigrate malcontents or divisive minister/members.  When people are rebellious they are not being submissive to the government that God has placed on the church.  

Church government and books written by various false prophets of Armstrongism are all used as weapons to subjugate their members.  Such things always remain constant in the Church of God.

Radical Leftist Meanies Will Soon Start Persecuting The Philadelphia Church of God

Someone is always out trying to get Church of God members and its leaders.  What other purpose could the church have than to be the scapegoat of big meanies so they can claim persecution?

Gerald Flurry whines:

We are facing problems today that God’s Church under Herbert W. Armstrong never faced. The United States is terribly different than it was before he died in 1986. It is ready to collapse, and it will shortly. The radical left is attacking conservatives with all sorts of lies. What do you think they will do about our message? Once they focus on us, it will be much worse, at least for a short time. I don’t know when that will be, but I do know we must pay attention to what God revealed through Ezekiel because it is for us in the PCG!

We have to believe Ezekiel’s prophecy: A storm is coming. We must go through this storm and thrive in it! We have the God of Ezekiel 1 right here with us! That is why the book of Ezekiel begins in this order: God is first—the top priority! Everything flows from there. Even the persecution God’s Church members face will have a positive side because it will cause people to feel ashamed when the world continues to unravel just as God prophesied. Someone sent this to me regarding Gerald Flurry's scathing comments directed towards women in the church, students at his cult compound "college" and summer camp.

During his Philadelphia Youth Camp (pyc) sermon before the campers on July 9, 2005, Pastor General Gerald Flurry mentioned that some of our ladies and their daughters need sharp rebuke about their skirts and/or dresses because they are either too short or too tight. He tied this in with Revelation 18:4 and how God’s people have been called upon to come out of Babylon. Someone has to tell you, paraphrasing my father, if you don’t change your garments, you will suffer through the plagues of God.

Apparently Satan is busy trying to make all the women and young girls in the PCG into slutty whores:

Gerald Flurry Now On Tumblr: The Largest Purveyor of Porn on the Internet

Gerald Flurry thinks his message is soooooooooooooo important that he has now started hosting one of his sites on the Yahoo owned Tumblr.  While Tumblr is open to all kinds of sites it is one of the largest purveyors of porn out there today.

One of the most telling comments I've seen about Yahoo's acquisition of Tumblr appeared on Reddit last night: "lol someone actually paid for porn on the internet," wrote Redditor nhztgb. Meaning, family-friendly Yahoo is acquiring a giant purveyor of porn in buying Tumblr. It's an open secret among the Tumblr community that a, uh, healthy proportion of the site's explosive growth since its birth in 2007 has been thanks to NSFW blogs. In fact, there’s so much porn on Tumblr that they can’t even list all the results for blogs that distinguish themselves for being “not porn.”

Suffice to say that no matter what your kink is, there’s a Tumblr for that. College girls, high school dudes, foot fetishes, yoga pants – Tumblr has the full spectrum of porn covered...

Because purveyors o’ porn are some of the best digital marketers in the world, and they were early adopters of message boards, email, groups, search, etc. You name it – porn was there and there early. They get there first and scale it until it stops working. Thus it totally makes sense that they would be the first to adopt and proliferate inside of social, blogging, social blogging or however you want to categorize Tumblr.

So while Yahoo! might not worry about their porn problem, they do have an issue to deal with.   How Bad Is Tumblr's Pron Problem?

I guess we could say that Flurry's brand of cult nonsenses is porn also, spiritual porn.

A Father Protects His Family's Honor and His Integrity

A great story is on the Exit and Support web site for survivors of Armstrongism.  It is from the son of a former member who defied his minister and loved his family more!  It exposes yet again the blatant hypocrisy of the ministry of the Church of God.

Love of Sports and How My Dad Stood For What Was Right

My junior year was the beginning of the end for the WWCG and my family. The new minister was exactly like the old one, lock and step with the "church." His kids were arrogant and his wife was snobby. My parents didn't think much of them. My parents went to every one of my games since they felt if the ministers kid can play, it must be all right. I continued to get even better and was again excused from the Feast. Our second to the last game that year was against the minister's son's school. We destroyed them in a route. I had my best game ever! I had 4 sacks and 17 tackles, eight of them being for a loss! My dad was so happy and could not stop talking about it. Well, the minister's local paper told the story and come the following Saturday, unknown to me, my father was confronted by the minister about me playing on the Sabbath. I could see he was upset on the drive home and not much was said. I remember like it was yesterday when I walked by my dad's office Sunday morning and he was very upset with someone; my mom was sitting across from him. I was shooed away and the office door was closed. My parent's were in there for a long time, like hours!

It was two days later that my dad called all of us in the family room. He told us exactly what had happened as I did not know. The minister said it was wrong for my dad to allow a child to break the Sabbath and when my dad confronted him on his son, he said it was because his son had potential to play at the college level. Of course, my dad brought up the inquiries that I was having from colleges and that was quickly dismissed by the minister. He gave my dad an ultimatum (my dad was never a fan of ultimatums) and Dad did what had been brewing in his and Mom's heart for a while. They quit in 1986 and we were disfellowshipped or marked, whatever you want to call it. I know it hurt them to lose the friends they had and, as far as I know, no one from the "church" ever contacted them again.

That's the day I knew who my hero was. Not because of some game, but because he stood for what was right and protected his family and his integrity, both to which he held to deeply. We were not in the WWCG very long (big blessing!) and we don't have horror stories like others but I have to say it made our family realize what men can do with a Bible and their interpretations of the words within.
