Gerald Flurry: I WIll Be Attacked For Saying This...BUT...ExCOG Family Members Are Tools of the Devil!

Gerald Flurry continues his tyrannical hold upon his dwindling flock by placing more fear upon them.  As long as he can keep them scared and fearful of losing their salvation he will have some followers.  Once people open their eyes to the sick, perverted and bastardized message he preaches, then they will be on their way to freedom and restoration with their families.

We will probably be attacked in this area next. People might draw attention to how we disfellowship. The world doesn’t know that the Laodiceans are tools of the devil! Satan is sophisticated in his lying and deceit; he has deceived the whole world! (Revelation 12:9). Satan will surely try to use Laodiceans to say the right thing in order to deceive or discourage us. He has been using them that way ever since Mr. Armstrong died! Do we want to try to bring them into our life? Do we want to defy God’s act of casting them out? Do you believe Satan is unable to deceive you through them?

This is something we need to think carefully about. The Laodiceans have a contagious disease, and it is terminal! We can’t kid ourselves into thinking that Satan can’t get to us through them. Look at what he has done to 95 percent of God’s people.

You can read this sick article here:   Revealing Satan  The best part of the article is to find out that it is a matter of public record that the WCG (Tkach Jr.) declared that the PCG is a "sick form of Christianity."   I can just picture the veins popping in Old Flurry's beet red face when Joe Jr. called him and his cult "sick."

Notice these quotes from the depositions:
Lawyer: “Do you consider the Philadelphia Church of God to be a form of Christianity, albeit unorthodox?”
Tkach: “A very infirmed form.”
Lawyer: “Infirmed?”
Tkach: “Sick.”

I wonder how Flurry squares this with Jesus' example of special outreach to sinners, and Paul's contention that non-believer mates can become sanctified through the examples of their Christian mates.

His paranoia regarding the unconverted, other splinter members, and those who have left Armstrongism gives us some insight into how he sees God's power manifest itself in the lives of PCG members. Seems like he views it as a nearly dead battery, very faint, and easily missed.

You'd almost think Flurry thought of PCG as being of men, with no divine power present in the members' lives. He is literally fearful of the tests the people he calls Laodiceans would bring to his cult members' lives. Neither a church, nor a Christian can survive with that magnitude of lack of faith!

Ah, the terrible truth about the true nature of PCG comes out. Once again we see a small glimpse of Flurry and Co. have been up to.

Good on you, No2HWA, for bringing this to public attention.

This order to disfellowship these non-PCG members is simply a cruel attempt by PCG's leaders to keep PCG's members under control and submissive to his rule.

And despite all this Gerald Flurry would have us believe he is not attacking the Laodiceans.

"The Philadelphia Church of God is not attacking the Laodiceans. We are warning them and trying to rekindle their “good tidings.”" (Gerald Flurry, Isaiah's End Time Vision, Chapter 14, 2011 version, pp. 112-3.)

Of course, in Flurry's world, one can only "repent" by joining PCG, submitting to all their rules and regulations, paying them three tithes and extra offerings, etc, etc.

as if he's not for sure??

Talk about deception!

He reads and is kept informed about these posts put up on this site.

Someone posted a few posts back that we were to suffer like Christ, as if defending these people.

Does anyone see Gerald Flurry, his family or anyone close to him at >headquarters< suffering????

Laodiceans tools of the devil????

Laodiceans are suppose to be the ones that lost their zeal for following Christ, and don't have the love of Christ or for their fellow man >(PCG)<

Not the ones that Gerald Flurry>Diotrephes<,and his tyrant, loveless, hate-filled ministers are constantly throwing out of the PCG for supposedly having a >government< problem. (They throw out all people that try to help others in the PCG, that actually have the love of Christ, I noticed).

PCG God's government, seriously?

Hard to say this, and actually amazing to do so...

But the WCG under HWA was actually kinder and gentler than PCG under Flurry.

No praised intended for how things were under the old WCG, but Flurry's church is a real life "Dante's Inferno".

"We [Gerald Flurry and his PCG] will probably be attacked in this area next."

That is an old, old trick that Gerald Flurry has used before to brace PCG members for the well deserved criticism that he would attract with his outrageously evil words.

Years ago Gerald Flurry mentioned in a sermon that he had some incredible new truth that had been revealed to him that was so great and wonderful that he would be attacked terribly for teaching it.

What was this supposedly wonderful new truth that had been revealed to him that poor little Gerald would be attacked so terribly for teaching? According to the story that Gerald told at the time, some PCG member had been reading the Bible and noticed the prophet mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:18-19. Not knowing anything about the understanding in the WCG under HWA that this was referring to the coming of Jesus, the ignorant PCG member supposedly told Gerald that he thought that Gerald was that prophet. Humble, open-minded Gerald then supposedly honestly looked into the matter and concluded that the guy was right, and that he himself was indeed "That Prophet." Apparently it was not just some ignorant PCG member who did not have a clue about what the WCG under HWA had understood about the prophet in Deut. 18:18-19 being Jesus. Apparently Gerald Flurry did not know anything about it either!!! In a five part sermon series collectively called "That Prophet" the identity theft was completed and Gerald, rather than Jesus, became "That Prophet." Some PCG members DID know better and left the PCG over this.

Later forced to flip-flop a bit on it and admit in a book about "That Prophet" that Deut. 18:18-19 was referring to the coming of Jesus, Gerald rambled on about how some prophet was prophesied to come and still kept for himself the title of "That Prophet" that he had taken from these verses and this incident. He also kept the idea that everyone must now listen to everything he says or God will be mad at them.

Gerald Flurry was never “attacked” anywhere near as much as he deserved to be for such an outrageous stunt.

The people in the PCG have a fatal disease of the mind and spirit. It might not be all that contagious since it does not seem to be spreading to new people. It seems to have seriously sickened those who were already predisposed to it by their weak mental and spiritual condition. But it probably is terminal and could result in the death of those who do not get cured of it.

Gerald Flurry being criticized for telling MAILCIOUS LIES all the time is no big deal.

I'll probably be criticized for telling the PLAIN TRUTH that Gerald Flurry and his PCG are tools of the Devil.

It is mind-boggling that Flurry actually said, "We’re in a war, and these are great days."

That is sick.

As usual, everything is exactly backwards in the PCG. Let me correct this.

Satan is surely using Gerald Flurry and his PCG to say the wrong thing in order to deceive or discourage true Christians. Satan has been using Gerald and his PCG that way ever since 1989! Do we want to let them into our life? Do we want to ignore Christ’s instruction to beware of false prophets? Do you believe Satan is unable to deceive you through them?

It is ignorant to label people as Laodicean. The reason is that part of personality make up includes the way an individual's brain functions, and this varies from person to person. Some have naturally strong emotions and passions, while others have the volume turned way down and are what might be called "low reactors". There are people who suffer from depression, and those who are bipolar. These ailments are relatively common. Also, people have different filters, and process the things surrounding them in widely diverse ways.

Someone steeped in the theory of church eras would inevitably oversimplify, and lump all of these people together, diagnosing them as "Laodicean" rather than looking deeper. Flurry is apparently convinced that there are thousands and thousands of Laodiceans, and that these people are to be feared rather than helped. And, that institutionalized behavior invalidates the classifications which he applies to his own group. It is anything but phileo, or brotherly love, and it most certainly is not agape.

Recently I have been reading through some of PCG's booklets. I have since learned that Gerald Flurry has built his entire career on demonizing Laodiceans.

At first he was just condemning the Tkach changes as many other people were doing (and even today). But as many other WCG members left and chose not to go to PCG, Flurry labelled these as Laodiceans as well in order to make it appear necessary to join his group.

Very often he says The Laodiceans do this and that, when he is actually talking about the Tkachite WCG. While what he says may very well be true for Tkach's WCG they are most certainly untrue when using saying those things about other COG groups.

For instance Flurry claims the Laodiceans deny that HWA was the end time Elijah. In fact many other COG groups view HWA in this way.

Also Flurry claims that only PCG remained loyal to HWA's doctrine of "God's government" and the Laodiceans have all changed it. This criticism is true for UCG and true in the former Global Church of God, but in fact many COG groups have one man rule just like Flurry. And this includes Meredith's LCG. But you will never know that reading Flurry's writings.

(In one place in his booklet, Isaiah's End Time Vision, he admits "God's government" is actually one man rule.)

Really what he means by Laodicean are WCG members and ex-WCG members who have not joined PCG. He wants their tithes and offerings.

Is Flurry a tool of Satan or just a tool?

"Recently I have been reading through some of PCG's booklets. I have since learned that Gerald Flurry has built his entire career on demonizing Laodiceans."

Gerald R. Flurry basically did away with the "great commission" to the Church to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God to the whole world, even though Herbert W. Armstrong had thought that was the main purpose of the Church. Gerald Flurry said that HWA had done that (implying that it was over and done with), and that with a new church era comes a new commission to the Church to warn the Laodiceans. Gerald has been ranting and raving like a demoniac ever since.

It is astonishing that the PCG people so quickly deserted the one who called them by the grace of Christ and turned to a different gospel—which is REALLY no gospel at all!!! Evidently, someone threw the PCG people into confusion and perverted the gospel of Christ. Even if one of the original apostles or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one that was preached, he should be eternally condemned. As someone has already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than the one you already accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

(See Galatians 1:6-9, NIV)

Again, Flurry is not original. HWA demonized COG-7 by branding them as Sardis. Members and elders alike from that church have stated in interviews that this killed off growth of their church for years. So, Flurry, always sensitive to an HWA type trend, is trying to demonize all of the other splinters by branding them as Laodicean. The difference today is that most prospects recognize a pile of HWAcaca when they see it, and none of the splinters are really growing anyway, so all Flurry is doing is causing ill will, and breaking up even more families than his former boss.

The word LAODICEAN, as it comes out of the mouth of Flurry, and those like him, has become like that now universally condemned word -- N the first letter -- which people have used so long and carelessly for people of African descent.

Merely saying it, and labeling something with it, is supposed to be conclusive. And it is for those who foolishly follow a man like Flurry. "Well, I'm NOT that!" They smugly go home then, having been reassured of their "specialness."

GoGers are still saying the seven churches in Asia represent church eras without even a smidgeon of biblical backing.

Never will Christians get it that the only real prediction in the book of Revelation was the soon return of Jesus to rule the world with his resurrected followers.

The real tools of the "devil" are the people who perpetuate this false, failed prophecy.

Where did this quote come from?
= "The world doesn’t know that the Laodiceans are tools of the devil!"

Will someone give the date, publication, and/or if tell me if it's a sermon?
