Continuing Church of God Feast Attendance Embarrasses Dave Pack!

Continuing Church of God Africa Feast Site

The Continuing Church of God is the most important Church of God on the entire planet today that is being led by God's most humble, knowledgeable and double-blessed servant to have ever walked the earth.  Because this leader is such an outstanding success he has had hundreds of thousands attending his Feast sites around the world.....NOT!  Check out his stats below.

We had four Feast of Tabernacles' sites in Africa (including a very limited one in Nairobi), two in North America (including one video site in Kansas), one in New Zealand, and one video site in the Philippines. Over 500 people part of the Continuing Church of God were able to attend in 2014. We had more than double the number of attendees in North America and Africa this year compared to 2013.

Here is information from the video site in Wichita, Kansas:
2014  Feast Attendance  for Wichita, Kansas video group was 3 adults and 2 children 2 teenagers. ...
We had no problems. We were able to see the sermons you uploaded from the day before and others you had from last year on Deut. Very Good!

The feast site in Ndhiwa was the largest feast in Kenya with a
population of 236 people. Adults were 196 and 40 children.

The Kisii site was hosting 200 people.

African feast goers   430
US Feast goers           64
Total Feast goers      500

64 US members, minus 4 for his family leaves 60 people that are essentially funding Bob Thiel's world-encompassing church.  Like all COG leaders who run harlot daughter churches of Armstrongism, Thiel claims that his little flock is stepping out on faith and will be greatly blessed.  Its always a remnant that has preserved the truth.

Assuming these 60 members are tithing on around 30,000 income, Apostle/prophet/soon to be martyr Thiel could be bringing in $180,000.00 a year.  Of course that "60" includes kids, spouses who don't work and others, so his income is way less than the $180.000.

With almost all of his "members" in Africa and some loosely affiliated groups in Asia being from low income areas, they will not be sending him much money.  If they are then they need their heads examined!  If Thiel were a true man of God, which he's not, he would tell them to keep all their money for themselves and to take care of he poor, the widows and orphans in their African areas.

Even Dave Pack is embarrassed at the utter failure Thiel has become!  Well maybe not so much...gloating more than likely.

Farming takes a certain skill. A good tithe farmer knows his audience and adjusts the PH (rhetoric) they can tolerate.

What Bobby has done is to poison the plantation so that there is no growth, never mind there is not one to harvest the 'crops'

In conclusion, Bob has shit in his lunch bucket! Now go eat big boy!

Im starting and then immediately ending my own COG effective immediately.

It will be known as...

THE DISCONTINUED CONTINUING CHURCH OF GOD

The CCOG is a joke and can't even be considered a real church COG. Only 64 U.S. Feast attendees.

Pack would always talk about growth and membership in far-flung areas. No one could really prove if the people even existed.

I have candidly talked with ministers that have had to admit that very few of the people who attend in many foreign countries are even considered members.

They bring every family member they can to the feast and are mainly looking for handouts from all of us "rich" Americans. CCOG is the new kid on the block to try and swindle!

I thought Thiel had about 150 that he'd rustled from LCG. Either he's lost 60% of his stolen tithe-sheep, or else those reports greatly exaggerated the case. And the fact he has to say "North America" means these 60 people are scattered all over the continent. For those in Mexico or Central America (on the North American plate, so it's technically still North America), their peso-denominated tithes aren't going to go very far. It's only the ones in the US and Canada that are going to contribute significant amounts.

Either way, picking up so many Africans is likely to be a cash-flow-negative move for Thiel. That's one reason why UCG wanted to get rid of all those troublesome COGWA ministers, because at the same time they could also foist off those troublesome (read: "subsidized") international areas onto COGWA. UCG killed two birds with one stone.

Now that Thiel is committing to putting on weekly church services and annual festival conventions come off for these African brethren, that alone might incur expenses the locals might not be able to cover. And that's assuming that they're not just subsidy whores willing to convert to any religion that will give them a financial leg up. Thiel might be regretting this, even while crowing about the extra "numbers."

All in all, I wouldn't be surprised if Thiel's collection plates generate a net total of only about 60k per year.

If Thiel were to become successful in his ministry, I suspect there would be people coming out of the woodwork to lay claim to some sort of Armstrongism franchise. It would hip everyone to the fact that anyone could do it.

The thing is, how do you measure success in the ministry? Personally, I would consider him successful if he threw his life into humbly and thanklessly ministering to the troubled and the needy in his community. No mansion, no luxury cars or Armani suits, and no stupid fake titles or aura of fame for his "service". That'd be pure.

given the number of posts to your site by the same tired and negative individuals i would say that you have even less success than bobby boy!

Ex RCG 509 is correct. In Tanzania I am called Mzungu, or white man. Being white, they all think that we have lots of money to give away. When desperate, illiterate people hear the words, "Feast of Tabernacles" they might be thinking, "Oh boy, FREE food from the white people."

What? We are equating the North American techonic plate with North America? Since when?

According to Wikipedia:

The North American Plate is a tectonic plate covering most of North America, Greenland, Cuba, the Bahamas, and parts of Iceland and the Azores. It extends eastward to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and westward to the Chersky Range in eastern Siberia....

On its western edge the Farallon Plate has been subducting under the North American Plate since the Jurassic Period. The Farallon Plate has almost completely subducted beneath the western portion of the North American Plate leaving that part of the North American Plate in contact with the Pacific Plate as the San Andreas Fault.

This means that everything west of the San Andreas fault in the U.S. is not part of the North American plate. That includes the entire coastal region of California south of San Francisco.

So by this measure Bob himself does not live in North America! Nor do any of his tithepayers in Southern California. But any in Siberia are.

You may want to rethink your definition of North America.

On another point, your estimate of Bob's income as under $60K is probably off. It only takes a few well-to-do followers (and, surprisingly, there are some of them in the COGs) to make a big difference in income. Think of the Hammers in the early WCG days.

Au contraire, Anon 10:21...just check out the handy-dandy counter on the front page of this blog: 2.3 million views and counting.

Or maybe the lovely chart of flags representing the countries where views originated over the past three years: Why, almost 250,000 from the United States alone; one of more than 200 countries represented.

Any of the current COGs should be so lucky.

Insisting on promulgating a thoroughly discredited brand of theology is not, apparently, a formula for success any longer.

The larger picture is that we have proved rather effectively that Armstrongism is rubbish.

Anyone still in the Cult of Herbert Armstrong Mafia is daft.

Here we just get to pick over the disparate pieces of the insanity.

It's fun.

By this time we've all pretty much lost our concern over the arrogant indolent people stuck in the cult, since they have all the tools they need for both the awareness and the ability to leave it.

The only thing left is power mocking.

Did Uncle Andy attend any sites?

No, you may want to rethink your definition of North America.

"Most of the continent's land area is dominated by Canada, the United States, Greenland, and Mexico, while smaller states exist in the Central American and Caribbean regions.
...
The continent is delimited on the southeast by most geographers at the Darién watershed along the Colombia-Panama border, placing all of Panama within North America.[21][22][23] Alternatively, some geologists physiographically locate its southern limit at the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Mexico, with Central America extending southeastward to South America from this point.[24] The Caribbean islands, or West Indies, are considered part of North America.[1]
"

Trolls, trolls everywhere!

Why are so many people focused on turning the nits that they've picked into mountains, and then ranting about them? And the more offbeat, eccentric, or just plain wrong their view is, the harder they rant. Have they nothing better to do?

I'm coming to the opinion that leaving comments on the internet at all is a waste of time at best. As it is the domain of the troll, better to just let the trolls argue among themselves.

Ask James Malm about that one...

There sure are a lot of people braking down the doors to get into the COGs.

Maybe they need to promote another seminar similar to, " Why where you born?".

Maybe that will bring in another "1" for a grand total of "2"

Yes, brethren, everything you have been taught about North America, everything that the mainstream public believes, is untrue! Here, let me reveal to you the real truth, the pharisaic version which has been hidden for over 2,000 years! Allow me to redefine your life, using God's standards, based on the truth about His tectonic plates!

I have said it before, and I will say it again - Thiel can't decide or figure out if he is a Pastor General CEO Apostle running an Armstrong Church of God franchise OR if he is a Prophet to the Armstrong Churches of God. There is a BIG difference!

As a former WCG member I study this site and a couple of similar ones, as well as a few COG sites. While I sure claim no special knowledge of God's truth, Bob Thiel does provide an average of 2-3 daily news updates many of which accurately reflect historic, economic and political issues I do have some expertise about. Thus while i cannot guage his religious predictions, I believe there are legitimate lessons Americans can learn from some of tne subjects he covers.

Anon @ November 10, 2014 at 2:25 AM,

Anyone can copy news sources, and they will "reflect historic, economic and political issues." if they are accurate.

So, what, if Bob copies and comments on news stories regularly?
Why listen to Bob's narrow and twisted views about world news?

Why cup your mouth to Bob's ass and allow his turds of 'wisdom' to slide into your mouth and into your brain?

Do you need him to 'help you' find relevant news?

Can't you find news you are interested in, and come to your own conclusions without Bob's help?

How much have you considered the legitimacy of 'the source'?

Do you believe Bob Thiel have the "double dose" that he claims to have?

Do you believe that Bob Thiel has the academic credentials that he claims to have?

Jesus and His apostles weren't very popular. In fact they all were killed save John. Jesus said his followers would be persecuted, and spoken evil of. HWA and Bob Thiel use ample scripture to back up what they teach. I see crass language and ridicule as the means of proving these men as false teachers. Maybe someone should try a fresh approach, use scripture to prove these so called false teacher as false.
