Is UCG Ready For Prophesying Youth and Speaking In Tongues?

Vic Kubik gave a Pentecost sermon this past Sunday where he talked about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the church.
On Pentecost, I gave the sermon and I look to a time that is described in the second chapter of the book of Acts. The Holy Spirit was powerfully poured out on the Church and that power was the game changer as the Church suddenly grew from 120 to 3000 and then by another 2000 shortly afterward. This great outpouring was promised to the “Last Days” yet to come. What happened at Pentecost in 31 A.D. was only a type of what will yet happen.
Can you really imagine this happening in the United Church of God?  They cannot even remain united as a church or a conglomeration of Churches of God.  If they cannot do that then how do they expect the Holy Spirit to descend upon them and do a work?
1-4 When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force—no one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them.
5-11 There were many Jews staying in Jerusalem just then, devout pilgrims from all over the world. When they heard the sound, they came on the run. Then when they heard, one after another, their own mother tongues being spoken, they were thunderstruck. They couldn’t for the life of them figure out what was going on, and kept saying, “Aren’t these all Galileans? How come we’re hearing them talk in our various mother tongues?
Parthians, Medes, and Elamites;
Visitors from Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia,
    Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia,
    Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene;
Immigrants from Rome, both Jews and proselytes;
Even Cretans and Arabs!
“They’re speaking our languages, describing God’s mighty works!”
12 Their heads were spinning; they couldn’t make head or tail of any of it. They talked back and forth, confused: “What’s going on here?”
13 Others joked, “They’re drunk on cheap wine.”
Acts 2 continues on with this:
Peter Speaks Up
14-21 That’s when Peter stood up and, backed by the other eleven, spoke out with bold urgency: “Fellow Jews, all of you who are visiting Jerusalem, listen carefully and get this story straight. These people aren’t drunk as some of you suspect. They haven’t had time to get drunk—it’s only nine o’clock in the morning. This is what the prophet Joel announced would happen:
“In the Last Days,” God says,
“I will pour out my Spirit
    on every kind of people:
Your sons will prophesy,
    also your daughters;
Your young men will see visions,
    your old men dream dreams.
When the time comes,
    I’ll pour out my Spirit
On those who serve me, men and women both,
    and they’ll prophesy.
I’ll set wonders in the sky above
    and signs on the earth below,
Blood and fire and billowing smoke,
    the sun turning black and the moon blood-red,
Before the Day of the Lord arrives,
    the Day tremendous and marvelous;
And whoever calls out for help
    to me, God, will be saved.”
Can you imagine any Church of God where young men and women stand up and say they had a vision and have the church respectfully listen to them?  The upper echelon guard will immediately kick them out for causing division.  How can some lowly young boy or girl receive a vision when God only speaks through the ministry?

Given the horrendous track record of failed prophecies by Church of God leaders over the generations, perhaps we need some new blood prophesying.  They certainly could do better than our current gaggle of lying false prophets. That would certainly take the wind out of the sails of the windbags like Thiel, Pack, and Malm.
41-42 That day about three thousand took him at his word, were baptized and were signed up. They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers.
43-45 Everyone around was in awe—all those wonders and signs done through the apostles! And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person’s need was met.
46-47 They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved.
Is any COG ever going to see thousands of new members joining their ranks? Absolutely not!  When not a single one of them follow they man they claim to follow, how can they be baptizing people into his name?

Can you imagine all of the COG's sitting down for a common meal and fellowship and following Jesus?  Absolutely not!  The Churches of God will not even attempt to live in harmony, and this includes UCG and COGWA.

Does the world look at the Church of God and like what they see?  If their own members cannot like what they see in their own churches, then why in the world would the rest of humanity find something delightful in a Church of God?  UCG. COGWA, PCG, LCG, RCG and the improperly named "continuing" Church of God do not have anything delightful to share.

If they leaned towards pentecostal I would be more inclined to attend. Besides, the Armstrong churches are nothing more than a social club.

Judging them by their fruits, their proper names should be the Worldwide Church of Mocking/Slandering/Belittlering/Embarrassing/etc God. The same with the other xCOGs.
In the Herbie days, people I stumbled across who had heard of the church, regarded it a abusive cult. Its reputation was deserved.

The authority structure and belief system of Armstrongism is set up for automatic rejection of any corrector or messenger that would come to them directly from God or Jesus. That's why the only timeline during which the Armstrong problem can be resolved is the Kingdom, when they will be totally overwhelmed and unable to deny the source of correction, or its authenticity.

It is hard to believe that the UCG, filled with old hard liners who rejected the GCI teaching that salvation is by grace and grace alone, would leap-frog to allow young members to speak in tongues. Stranger things have happened but I think not. The average age of the UCG must be well over 50. Do you think these old-timers would allow that? I think not!

You receive the holy spirit at baptism. There is no more pouring out of it.
Peter told us that Pentecost in his day WAS the fulfillment of Joel.. something the church refuses to believe.

"This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel." Then he quotes Joel 2:28–32
Not will be.. or partial fulfillment but the actual complete fulfillment of it.
Speaking in tongues announced it but is over with now .

These people are false prophets and money grubbing ministers.

Armstrong religionists are stuck in the letter of the law and rejected grace entirely.
They are not legitimate.

“Is UCG Ready For Prophesying Youth and Speaking In Tongues?”

Currently, the UCG has too many weirdos who speak with lying tongues.

VKubik said: "...The Holy Spirit was powerfully poured out on the Church and that power was the game changer as the Church suddenly grew from 120 to 3000 and then by another 2000 shortly afterward..."

God's Church suddenly grew from One! Why One? That is because God's Church began in 26 A.D. with its first member, Jesus Christ, immediately after Jesus was baptized and He received God's Holy Spirit, which henceforth remained upon Him:

"And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost." John 1:33

VKubik goes on to say: "...What happened at Pentecost in 31 A.D. was only a type of what will yet happen..."

I don't know how he knows what happened in 31 A.D., because it was actually 30 A.D. Pentecost that is being referred to in Acts 2.

What is VKubik looking forward to besides a Mickey Mouse Millennium soon to occur where Jesus Christ supposedly is going to reign on this earth?

What is VKubik looking forward to besides some 10 nations, some 10 kings, to form over in Europe?

What is VKubik looking forward to besides some Assyria coming to beat down on the USA and bring it into captivity?

What is VKubik looking forward to? VKubik looking forward to some: "...great outpouring was promised to the “Last Days” yet to come..."

And, of course, VKubik believes that will soon happen via his man-made United Ass., but he will never see it happen. Too much Junk Food still in their thinking on prophecy for youth or anybody! The blind are still leading the blind.

Those "last days" won't occur until some time AFTER Satan is loosed from his pit-stop...in that bottomless pit, which is at least over a 1,000 years from now.

But that great outpouring will occur in a Great Day, a Great Last Day, but AFTER Satan is loosed from that pit to AGAIN deceive this world, mess up Jerusalem, remove peace from the earth's inhabitants, etc. during a time referred to as Day of the Lord. Victor's idea, theory, guess for his "last days" is for AFTER the 1,000 years are expired (Rev 20:7-8)

I'd like to say "wake up," but Victor can't even choose that. Besides it would do no good at this time (Matthew 15:13). The United Ass., like Living, cogwaites, Philadelphia, Flurrites, Malmites, etc. are just plain stagnant, stuck in a spiritual rut, like some airplane going around in circles in a holding pattern and hoping for permission to land before it runs out of gas.

So much for youth and speaking in tongues!

But, time will tell...

It's just a ploy to keep the youngin's in the fold. Sounds so science fictionish doesn't it? Gee, in my day they'd do an exorcism and dis fellowship the parents.

True Bread said: "...Seven heads: G7.."

G7 makes absolutely no sense, then to be a made-up speculation, theory, guess...

Description of the seven heads?

Revelation 17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

And those words are from the real True Bread, who was given them words from God, His Father!

The seven heads have nothing to do with your speculations, but have a lot to do with Israel, a people created by God's miracle and still exists to this day.

The Beast's heads are represented by:

1. Egyptian Empire
2. Assyrian Empire
3. Babylonian-Chaldean Empire
4. Medeo-Persian Empire
5. Greco-Macedonian Empire......yes, "...five are fallen..." That is past tense!

6. Roman Empire......yes, "...and one is..." And during the time John wrote (presence tense in John's day) that was Rome!

7. Gog......yes, "...and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space." That is a future tense and way beyond John's day and age.

Duh, time will tell...in fact, is telling already........
