Why I Left an Evangelical Cult | Dawn Smith
"Even the hardest day of freedom is better than the best day in a cult"
Exposing the underbelly of Armstrongism in all of its wacky glory! Nothing you read here is made up. What you read here is the up to date face of Herbert W Armstrong's legacy. It's the gritty and dirty behind the scenes look at Armstrongism as you have never seen it before! With all the new crazy self-appointed Chief Overseers, Apostles, Prophets, Pharisees, legalists, and outright liars leading various Churches of God today, it is important to hold these agents of deception accountable.

Well , this much is true... I know that God knows my phone number, and that he can call me anytime he wants 24/7 to discuss things with me.
I believe in God, but one thing God does not need, is for some bozo human person to manage my life for me.
Thanks for finally talking about >"A Familiar Experience: The High Price of Letting Others Determine Who You Must Be" <Loved it!
I’ve always likened this to voluntarily accepting yet another (totally unnecessary) layer of government above you. It’s not only like Forrest Gump’s Mom’s box of chocolates, but you also cannot negotiate or appeal, even as you would with federal or local secular government. The nice thing is that the federal, state and local governments will not back up your tin horn church dictator, who only has authority if you choose to accept it.

Wonderful message. I didn't start to wake up until after age forty. Took me a long time to get to where I am today but it was worth it.
