Did COG False Prophet Buy Web Site To Impersonate Another COG Organization?

I Sezz, I'z a real COG prophet now! Now, where wuz I?

Church of God's self-appointed prophets and wanna-be's have consistently strived over the years to make themselves appear as "legitimate" true prophets of God in the eyes of the world.  It is so important to them that they appear in a good light to the world and those they seek to impress.

Our Great Bwana Bob Thiel is crowing on his blog today about buying a web domain so he can make his followers in Africa feel more legitimate and connected to a "real" church.

The Continuing Church of God is pleased to announce that we have have another URL: https://cg7.org
Several weeks ago, we purchased that URL.
Since then, we have worked on putting pages together to be at that new website. We also consulted with leaders in Ethiopia and Ghana as they came from groups using the term Church of God Seventh Day (and Ghana still does).
The home page for the cg7.org website starts out looking as follows:

The doubly blessed dream-weaver continues with this:
This new site is intended to help people who wonder about the seventh-day Sabbath as well as those interested in learning about the different groups that claim Christ, but who also keep the seventh-day Sabbath.
Articles from the www.cogwriter.com website on various Sabbath keeping groups have been included. And because of this project, I wrote articles on three additional Sabbath keeping groups that I previously did not have.
To promote the site a little bit, we set up a promotional campaign with Microsoft Bing, which will cost us very little. But, hopefully, will spur some interest in the new website.
So be prepared to be Binged-out with moronic ads for those who use Bing to do a web search.  A prophet's gotta do what he's gotta do and COG prophets aren't known for making wise decisions.

Could we see a lawsuit in the works by a REAL Church of God who claims Bwana Thiel is impersonating them?

There is a real Church of God that has been doing a great job is spreading the real gospel message for decades, regardless of how many times Bwana Bob calls them "so-called" Christians.

Here is Bwana Thiel's domain name: https://cg7.org and here is the real COG domain name: https://cog7.org. Bwana Bob is trying to get as close as he can to a real COG and most likely bought the domain because it was so close and is hoping that people will make a mistake in typing in the URL and be directed to his site.

Church of God (Seventh Day) has been an active and vibrant church for decades, unlike the rapidly declining Armstrongist Church of God's.

Their web site states:
...a Vibrant 21st Century Church as a Christ-Centered, Grace-Oriented, Sabbath-Celebrating Church. ...emphasizes transcendence – the need to transcend justice into grace and the need to transcend beyond rules into a relationship with our Creator and Redeemer. In Christ, we transcend our human nature and participate in His divine giving nature. With our gratitude for Christ and His grace, our obedience transcends from a work of obligation into an act of love. As we grow in our loving relationship with Him, He brings our lives into harmony with the fullness of His grace and His truth.
Bwana Bob's cult is NOT Christ-centered and never will be. Christ barely gets a mention in between the Mayan's, Catholic's, and every imaginable conspiracy theory floating around out there. Add to that his incessant self-boasting of his greatness and his imaginary dreams that he rolls out to try and make us all stand in awe of his magnificence and you will find little mention of Christ.  But then, that is typical of many of the Armstrongist COG's.

COG7 may have grounds to sue Bwana Bob. Imagine the butt-hurt if awarded damages were enough to shut down the Petulant Prophet of Possibly.

Hummmm....I think I shall notify Church of God (Seventh Day) and give them a heads up on what Bob has done. My brother is a member with them. This should be interesting.

The Church of God Seventh Day groups are (1) much larger and more successful than Bob's improperly named vanity cult, (2) much more serious about actually emulating Jesus Christ, and (3) unlikely to want to give publicity to such a pipsqueak. They'll either ignore Bob's deceptive effort, knowing it will come to nothing, or at most they'll have a lawyer contact him privately to warn him that if he doesn't redo the site to make it CLEAR that it's his own cult's site, there's plenty of existing case law that will shut him down and cost him some punitive damages.

Watch for this new website to go the way of his goofy animations as another "open-door-that's-not-really-open" for Bob's incompetent overseership.

This is such a rookie false prophet move! Bob’s not legit enough, or used by God enough, to attract visitors to his own distinct site, so he needs to try to swindle the not so bright who erroneously stumble on his site. Is deceit the way God’s true prophets of the Bible operated? By his fruit, Bob is known!

Bob's CG7 home page banner bears a slight resemblance to one of the alternating banners on the COG7 site. And in COG discussion, reference to Church of God, Seventh Day is sometimes shortened to CG7...

Bob could have taken the opportunity to make his website a fresh, clean reboot of his CCOG brand - but from what I've seen, it's his same tired old shtick.

also, at https://7th-day.info/church-of-god-news/, there's a section that discusses GRF's view on The New Throne of David and those who does not agree with him. If scroll down some more, there's also a section on Stephen Flurry attacking Rod Meredith and defending Church Government. worth a read.

While Bob is at it, how about a MakeMoneyFast.com site, where he'll pull in the greedy and then convince them that their path to eternal riches is to send tithes and offerings to his improperly named cult?

Has anyone done a detailed lineage chart of all the sects from the Sabbatatian/Millerite branching?
This chart - full or partial - would look intriguing as the background masthead on this website!

MakeMoneyFast.com site

The demand for endless offerings has been the COGs' way to present their disparity gospel as a "Prosperity Gospel", but they're not good at it. Bob's latest sermon may be another attempt at that.
Alas, hapless minions find they've chosen the yoke of an austerity gospel!

All of today's Christian churches impersonate bible truth. They all play games to various degrees. After watching the various tele-evangelists, it becomes obvious that they steal ideas and ploys from one another. They clone more than mainland China.

bobthiel.org shall I buy it?

ccog.org is Bob's site.
We can now come up with our own extensions.
We could do the same to him.

Solomon wrote -
Ecclesiastes 7v16 Do not be overrighteous,
neither be overwise—
why destroy yourself?

Good advice for all to remember - including religious people.

BobThiel.info is one you could buy and there's legal precedent that he couldn't take it from you.

Imagine one comprehensive website collecting all the unpleasant truths about the Petulant Prophet of Possiblys. Our own prophets could also test their stuff, telling us whether Bob's demise will involve involuntary commitment to a mental hospital, voluntary fleeing the country with his loot, eating a bullet, or staging his own Waco.

Keep us posted about their response please!

Imagine one comprehensive website

In a way, you're on one now! Only Banned is not exclusively Bob...
Yes, sometimes when Bob belches Biblical blunders I idealize a troubleshooting fact-check website, but that would be a lot of work! I like the way some news websites (NPR for example) will take speeches and other pronouncements and interleave them with fact-check flags.

Hoss, someone could buy BobThiel.info (if Bob, seeing this, hasn't bought it first) and then point it to this site.
