RCG News Flash – May 20, 2023
David C. Pack of The Restored Church of God delivered “The Greatest Unending Story! (Part 443)” on May 18, 2023. He revealed the First Kingdom to Israel now begins on Sivan 1 and is one month long. It is no longer ten days as he stated in Part 442.

The Second Kingdom of God will arrive on Tammuz 1. That should sound repulsively familiar.

The Pastor General set new dates, but the more pressing news coming out of Wadsworth is why the teens of The Restored Church of God are fleeing in droves.
This update documents the fraudulent dates declared by David C. Pack during Part 443. He is not a man of his word and should not be feared. The increasingly toxic environment of The Restored Church of God is exemplified as the “young people” get a taste of the correction normally reserved for their parents.
That article is forthcoming.

So glad they are getting free, but hope they will not reject true Christianity. After what they have witnessed, Dave is responsible for "harming the little ones" and things will not go well for him, according to Jesus.
I don't know if everyone remembers how difficult it is for a teenager to leave any cult, including RCG. First of all, family is the primary support group during those years, and is supposed to be meeting the emotional needs of the offspring. Traditionally, children are not led to believe that their ACOG parents' love is unconditional. Most of us were taught that if we did not embrace the teachings of "God's True Church" (TM), we were expendable. It is not a very stabilizing, reassuring, or secure way to grow up. The very worst part of this is that kids in religious families see God as an extension of their parents, the parental units on steroids. So, an upbringing in these toxic churches completely ruins the young person's concept of, and relationship with God! Clearly, there is a huge deficit there from "blanket training" forward.
A young person growing up in an ACOG is limited in terms of further education in several ways. First, one is pretty much "screwed" in that everything learned in school must be processed and evaluated through Armstrongism to establish whether the school materials are valid and true. Secondly, if a teenager aspires (in spite of all the prophecies) to obtain further education, he or she is pretty much limited to what the church has to offer. In many cases, the feasts and church activities have caused these kids to miss school, resulting in lower grades. Not too much of a problem through junior high, but try missing out on the first foundational couple weeks of chemistry, physics, or trigonometry! Plus, the ministry of these cults usually stipulates that unless your children attend "God's College", they should fund their own education.
Lastly, it is the rare teenager who could become emancipated, and be mature or stable enough to obtain and hold a job, maintain a high enough GPA at school, and go on to college. In most cases, it will all be about survival, and even though an ACOG kid is already pretty much screwed on further education, he or she will be doubly screwed if they choose to bail, and leave home! Many young people learn to suck it up, and just lead a dual life style (a habit pattern which is devastating to the rest of their lives unless realized and corrected) in that the fake lifestyle is for the benefit of the parents, the minister, and the church brethren, and the real lifestyle is devoted to having friends and being functional in the real world. I've related this many times before, but when I looked up and saw my little brother bring my acceptance letter to Ambassador College to me at my workplace, I had to quickly put out my cigarette before he saw it, or that might have been it right there. You can't imagine some of the things we had gotten away with at SEP. SEP was like a peer seminar for kids on how to deal with your Armstrongite parents.
RCG and the others can be absolutely devastating to the young people who are precocious enough to see through their parents' churches. It is nothing short of amazing that any actually survive! Back in the day, we had to cut ties with our "unconverted" family members, meaning that even our families could not help us. The sheer toxicity, abuse, and brutality of it all are appalling!
Great comments 958 and 1111,
Breaks my heart what the teens have to endure. Dave and others are good candidates for the millstone award for offending the little ones.
You know, Earl, the ACOG teenagers are not alone. I've come to realize that Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, the Moonies, Krisna Consciousness, and Scientology all are especially and disproportionately devastating to the offspring. People fault us sometimes for not going after those groups as well, but really all any of us can do is to speak to our own experiences, because that's what we know.
The attitude of these cults does not include group introspection, or brainstorming as to how they might do a better job with the young. With one voice, these cults tell us "Your problem is that you left us!" Or, "Love it or leave it!" There isn't a human being walking the planet who will flourish in an environment which considers them to be expendable.
Inside the tabernacle during Moses' time, every symbol in the tabernacle represents Jesus lying down with his arms stretched out and feet nailed to the cross. His feet are on the BRAZEN ALTAR. His head is on the Ark of the Covenant. In His right hand is the MENORAH (like a bush if you look very closely - the burning bush Mose's saw , the 7 stars, the candlesticks. In Jesus left hand is the shew bread (Jesus is the Bread of Life and the children's bread.). Jesus' belly is where the priests washed (the LAVER) after sacrificing animals "Out of His Belly flows rivers of living water.". Jesus owns the cross. He created the tree that dropped the seed that became His cross. I would never attend a church that said, "The cross is pagan.". That is absolutely Jesus' Cross. Satan hates Jesus' Cross. It was his defeat so no way would Satan want you walking into a building with a cross on top or inside. It reminds him of his defeat and Real Christians operate in authority against Him.
