Living Church of God's Phobia Over Germany Continues

Poor Rod Meredith, he had no idea what he wrought when he became so obsessed over Germany and concentration camps. In spite of his whacky beliefs, the Living Church of God carries that obsession on today in 2023.

In LCG's eyes, Germany now is preparing to take over the world. Oh, Noes!!!!!!!!!!!! Get those meat hooks ready! Baron Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg is gathering his armies behind the scenes to swoop in and take captive Americans. Bob Thiel's wet dream will soon come true!

Of course, all you have to do in order to save your Laodicean butt is write in for thier booklet and all things will be ok.

Germany is an aging country, and does not possess any nuclear weapons. The Germany phobia is inane.

What if the Holocaust is not true? Would that make a difference in the ACOG cultic view of Germany? Has it ever been proven? Numerous people dispute it. Is it only cancel culture that keeps the rumors alive in the West?

If these stupid fucks would read more that WND they would know that the EU is toast. Not only financially but population wise, the EU will be a muslim majority down the road. Try to spin that!

Your comments are quite disturbing.

‘Has it never been proven? Numerous people dispute it. Is it only cancel culture that keeps the rumours alive in the West?’

Yes it happened. My own family perished in Auschwitz, Mauthausen and Sobibor concentration camps. I have their names and dates of death. The Nazis kept records of their evil. I have visited Dachau in Southern Germany. It happened. They are not simply rumours.

There is no doubt that the holocaust and WW11 has had a great impact on Armstrongism and in their eyes gives them validation of their cultic worldview.

Eisenhower made absolutely certain that the Holocaust was extensively documented photographically so that there could never be any doubt. Holocaust deniers are racist, willfully ignorant, tinfoil people.

For those of you who never had the privilege of growing up around Jewish people, I saw the tattooed numbers from
The camps on some of the older folk in our community. It was real!!!

James, economics may not have anything you might be thinking to do with another holocaust. Hitler came to power largely because of hyper inflation. The Weimar Republic had been shackled with paying crippling reparations for WW-I, and the German government responded by cranking up the printing presses! The German economy was toast, and the German people looked to their strong man, Hitler, to make Germany great again. We all know what followed!

Oh okay, so whose the charismatic leader of Germany now, and this false prophet currently speaking. Germany has an older population currently. But I guess old age doesn’t mean anything to the “elders” in the LCG.

A nation thrives when men are plenty at military age and the economy is thriving. Other European nations have to be joined with ghem according to their logic. Calm down cog in the web.

It would take more time for most of them to be concerned about Germany. The other toes would have to be in unity with their Germany. Do we see that now?

There would have to be a massive Catholic revival in Europe ( according to this cog).

Eisenhower made absolutely certain that the Holocaust was extensively documented photographically ...

Eisenhower was a Jew who did not like Germans, so he starved 1.5 millon German POWs to death. That has been extensively documented too, but few have ever heard of it. The honorable thing to do is to listen to both side of everything. That is what the Bible says to do.

5:20, now you are bringing absolute crap to this blog! Eisenhower was not Jewish! He was Pennsylvania Dutch, which is actually Pennsylvania Deutsche. He was German himself.

Now, if he actually did hate the "German" Germans, that would not be surprising! EVERYBODY hated them during WW-II! They were the frappin' enemy fer Chrisakes! Part of the reason people hated them was because of the holocaust, an event that Hitler copied from the Turks, who had orchestrated the Armenian holocaust!

What's your address? I'd like to send you a gift certificate for some cool Reynolds Wrap products!!! Or are too many of their shareholders Jewish to suit you?

I deliberately let those two comments through to show just how incredibly stupid some Armstrongites are. These were mild compared to a lot of the stuff that tries to get posted here. I had one from the leader of an Aurangzeb Nations group a week or so ago. Totally batshit crazy.

The Armstrong prophecy mold is one man's interpretation of the books of Daniel and Revelation, assigning values (names of modern nations) to countries, and names of empires to the components of the beast. The Roman Empire was the great world power during the time when John of Patmos wrote Revelation. The prophecy mold appeared feasible during World War II, and afterwards as Israel was reborn as a nation, and the bomb became an existential threat. However, HWA's theories have become less and less likely to occur with the passage of time. I mean they even cancelled 1975 because it became perfectly obvious that fulfillment was not taking place! Of course there was revived hope for Armstrongites when the two Germanies reunited, but even that totally fizzled out

Is it totally impossible for circumstances in Europe to do an HWA? Of course not. It's just unlikely. But when some ACOG derives hysterical delight from a German food drive, and starts proclaiming, "Ah, at last! Here we go! He was right!" you have to realize how desperate aging Armstrongites are becoming as they NEED to see some validation for their chosen lifestyle before they die. It's why Dave Pack continues to toilet paper the RCG with desperate "proofs" that Jesus is coming tomorrow, and why Bob Thiel flails and screams, "I'm a prophet, goddammit!", and Gerald Flurry desperately seeks the holy grail, one of Herbert W. Armstrong's bowel movements to add to his collection of memorabilia!

I, of course, am just a small bit into validation myself. I have to admit that one day, as I draw my last breath, it's going to be comforting to finally know for sure that all this horrible stuff that was supposed to ruin my life never happened! Actually, if it were to happen right now, it's pretty much inconsequential, because I have lived the life they said I couldn't have every single day from 1975 forward. So, it sucks more to be them than it does to be me! Cheers!

Other than HWA's failed 1975 prophecies , it is hard to see another failure greater than the German obsession(see Hans Josef Strauss) If you go to Germany today they are not much more militaristic than the Dutch and had only a grudging response to increase defense spending to Putin's war mongering & desire to rebuild the Soviet Empire. Worldwide & too many of its spin offs was really good at emphasizing old Testament scripture yet they conveniently forgot the one about a prophet making prophecies that failed.

My sympathies. I would hate to evaluate some of this drivel. Thanks for doing it and shielding us from it.

Bizarre ideas always circulated in the WCG. My guess this is still true in Splinterland. Strange ideas like BI beget other strange ideas. In the last congregation I was in, there was a respected man that everyone liked. Seemed to be a devout Armstrongist. Then one day he gave a speech in Spokesman Club denying the Holocaust. I talked to him afteward and discovered this normal seeming guy was a blatant anti-Semite. This is one of the occasions in my history where I thought the WCG was way surreal. But I brushed it aside as was my habit.

As I mentioned in another thread, there were a small number of people I encountered in the WCG, I don't know how many altogether because they were somewhat clandestine, who believed that the Ashkenazi Jews were a Gentile people called the Khazars. This was an idea they got from Arthur Koestler, a Jew, who wrote about this topic and denied that the term "anti-Semite" could even be applied to people who persecuted the Ashkenazi because the Ashkenazi are not Jews or Semites. These WCG members believed the real Jews were the Sephardim who lived in Britain or were a group of people living somewhere on the North American continent. This belief was circulated during the ascendancy of Stanley Rader.

Genetics has given the lie to this odd claim. The Ashkenazi, no surprise, are actually Jewish in descent. They are mixed with European ancestry - principally from southern Europe. One Genetic distance chart I recently saw places them very close to the Italians and not so close to the indigenous Middle Eastern Jews and Palestinians. Compare this to the British, clearly Gentile, who have no Middle Eastern ancestry at all except what might have been imported by the Roman legionaires or other odd little migrations.

The Germans may have resembled the ancient Assyrians as a historical allegory. But the idea that the two peoples are genetically connected is absurd. Yet the premier place that Armstrongism accords the Germans in prophecy is based on genetic connection to the ancient Assyrians. Armstrongists have stepped into the arena of the science of genetics whether they wish to acknowledge it or not. And they need to make genetic counter-arguments to support their claims and they have not. And my guess, never will.

This blog, because it deals with controversy, will always attract people who are, one might say, not the best that Armstrongism has to offer. My guess is that the really devout Armstrongists, some of whom are fluent in Armstrongist theology and logical discourse, will not let themselves stray too far from sanctioned media.

I think itd be more accurate to say anti-German sentiment arose from the specter of WW1 and Hitlers landgrabbing. Judging from the 1942-1945 newspaper study I did a few years ago, Hitler's "Final Solution" towards Jews, Romani, Communists, etc didnt seem to get a truckload of press attention until the Allies started liberating the camps. There's an interesting reticience in the reporters who did write about it.

Scout,
What is even more egregious than neglecting the use of DNA which could help them find truth (like many in our justice system regarding cold cases), is their disregard of the ancient Assyrian language (Akkadian or neo-Syriac). The Assyrian language can be found on their ancient clay tablets and it doesn’t resemble that of a German language. One has to follow the language. Nations of China, India, Japan ad even Jews maintained their language for thousands of years.

‘Eisenhower was a Jew….’
Eisenhower (Eisenhauer) was mostly of Pennsylvanian Dutch ancestry. Mother was predominantly German Protestant with a linage which includes English and Scottish on both sides of the family. They were close and involved in the River Brethren a sect of the Memmonites and later the JWs. While deeply religious he belonged to no particular grouping.
But a Jew, no!
There is a lot of information available on Eisenhowers reportedly deliberately starving German prisoners after WW11.
Any many condemnations but also many claims to the otherwise.

‘People died in concentration camps due to typhus brought on by Allies bombing the electrical systems’….
Well no.
Perhaps it was German bestiality, brutality and savagery that was the cause and not this flippant comment that disregards historical fact. Does your comment give the Nazis a free pass then?

What is disturbing is the irrational and simplistic and just quite absurd comments that are showing up here on this page now. And more often. The anti semitic tones of many are ringing out in search of an audience, sadly.

You people are so distracted by history, genetics and WCG's teachings on prophecy that you fail to remember that this last revival of the beast has its origins in Europe.

So Germany's movement of its military arsenal into the region is noteworthy from a prophetical standpoint, according to Dan 11:40-43. The leader will come out of Europe but it will be a tenuous unity (Dan 2:43), reflective of the state of unity in the churches today.

As for the Assyrians, they were run out of town 2600 years ago. Some nations migrate over time, others stay put even when they suffer a great humanitarian crisis. So when an ethnic group leaves an area, how can you compare its DNA to the new group in that area?

DNA testing is an imperfect science and it can't detect ethnicity perfectly as far as I know. What you people should be looking at to supplement this is the exhaustive history, language, migrations, customs, accents, word definitions, etc.

Many Germans mixed with Israelites. Why? Because they were closely associated in ancestry and migrations throughout history.

You are right about the anti-German sentiment and WWI, RSK. King George V changed the family name from Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to Windsor, in an effort to deflect the overwhelming hatred for Germans.

To 2:52 "exhaustive history, language, migrations, customs, accents, word definitions, etc."

Yea that's what we've been doing. Look at the previous post related to this topic. Not only have we've been talking about their DNA, we also looked at their migrations (from Russia probably), language or word definitions (German Language that perhaps doesn't match the language of Ancient Assyrians). They are looking at all of it, including if there is a "spiritual" representation of the beast of revelation. Much like the spiritual representation of Jerusalem (Rev 11:8)

We (most of us here) already are well verse in Armstrongism in the area of the German (US of Europe)/Assyria doctrine. The Otto, Charlemagne, Charles V, Napoleon, Hitler/Musso.

If one is interested, they are also looking at current Europe and current Germany. Or who is the current leader of Europe? Or who is the false prophet? One would have to look for the two witnesses, animal sacrifices, and more like the power of the king of the king of the south etc. It's got to fit. See the year 72/75 it didn't fit and HWA wasn't the one that could stop it from raining for a few years.

We are not the ones writing those Germany booklets each year. By the way you compare a DNA in an ancient site (if it hasn't been contaminated by the elements to modern DNA people), this has been done a lot, or more than most people think.

‘DNA testing is an imperfect science and it can’t detect ethnicity perfectly…….What people should be looking at is the exhaustive history language migrations customs accents word definitions etc…..’

DNA is a precise science and can determine ethnicity rather well I’m afraid.
And a study of history linguistics archeology the social sciences and human migration through history attests strongly that the Germans are not in any way Semitic in origin. It’s a slam dunk against the theory.

This blog has innumerable sources pointing out this absurd folly.

‘Many Germans mixed with Israelites. Why? Because they were closely associated In ancestry and migrations throughout history’.

Well no. Sources on this blog, and well researched ones at that say otherwise.
So where are your counter sources? Or is this simply a word thrown out to the wind as a distraction to the plain truth?

Let's examine some of the statements above from the standpoint of logic. First of all, if dna science is imperfect, who is better qualified to figure it all out and to work out some of the imperfections? Highly educated scientists who are continuing the research and working in that field every day of their lives, or your local minister who is not a scientist, but rather is a theologian indoctrinated in the fringe theories of a man who is not only not even a mainstream theologian, but a man whose prophecies have already failed greatly, and his "empire" disbanded?

Secondly, it would be one thing for a poster to fight dna science with dna science, provided that he had the education to do so. But, what we see in the comments above is lay people with a fixed set of beliefs raising questions, and casting doubt on an entire branch of science, citing things already considered, and asked and answered by those scientists who are the leaders in their field, and they question this simply because the science does not agree with their religious beliefs. This is literally like someone spitting at a gunman firing an AR-15 at them from 50 feet away, expecting their spit to take the gunman out!

The vast majority of human beings never have an original thought in their entire lives. This means that we are all beholden to others for our knowledge and information. The mental skill of identifying those who are the most reliable sources of vital information needed for a successful life is perhaps the most important skill any of us could possess. A dead pedophile who taught that Jesus Christ was going to return in 1975 has taught you that the USA is Manasseh, the UK is Ephraim, and that Germany is Assyria. Scientists who can trace specific identifiable markers through generations and generations of not only humans, but even of our pets, tell us that the BI-based identities are impossible! What you folks think you believe, and your sources, are entirely your own choices. Continually using us as a sounding board by arguing in favor of debunked theories of British Israelism is not going to give you the validation or satisfaction that you are seeking. Also, your religion is most likely not going to enjoy any sort of resurgence or new growth until you excise the junk cultic garbage which repels the more educated and better moneyed classes of people who might otherwise join in and fund it. It's up to you! Even the Pope could not hold off the onslaught of information for which Galileo opened the door! To mix metaphors, surf's up! It's Galileo time in Armstrongism. Time to get real!

I think what our friend refers to is ethnicity results from autosomal testing. Yes, it can be fuzzy when youre trying to relate it back to a bunch of tiny little areas close together (western Germany and eastern France, for example). But Scout is talking about Y-DNA origins, which is a very different line of analysis.

Correct 9:17

They’ll accept science when it pertains to astronomy like the new moons. Or the social science of archeology. But then reject other science that they think might hinder their belief system. Like when it comes to descended people.

Just because I have a religious degree from some college, doesn’t mean I know how to build a temple.

These are the same group of individuals who rejected doctors. Again, doctors who studied their discipline for eight years and it’s their expertise.

Maybe they will learn.

Well, the Seventh Day Adventists have certainly smoothed over some of their rough edges from earlier in their history, so maybe it is possible that the ACOGgers will too over the coming decades. I knew that most of the first generation would never forsake their British Israelism, and neither would the second gen. Even the few grandkids who stuck around are greying.

Life on the Armstrong related blogs can be funny sometimes. Some of us years ago were involved in a spirited debate with a couple stalwarts on another blog, and somewhere mid discussion, they revealed themselves to be GTA's grandkids. I just had a food chuckle and wished them well. It just illustrates how deeply all of the misinformation runs!

This COGlogyte has wrenched his neck at work, and goes to his pastor for annointing. After the prayer, the pastor advises him that it may be a good idea to have a chiropractor examine him.

So, he goes to the chiropractor, who adjusts the man's neck. He suddenly feels quite a bit better, so asks the doctor what he did.

"Oh, I adjusted your third cervical vertebra. It's back in place, but I'm going to give you some simple exercises to strengthen the muscles so that it stays in place!" answers the Chiropractor.

The wife is happy to see her husband as he walks in the door, and asks him what the doctor had done.

"Well, he said he adjusted my third cervical vertebra!" exclaims the man.

"Oh, Honey," she giggles. "Those guys don't know any more than those sorcerer doctors! A man doesn't even have a cervix! That's part of the female anatomy.

"Yeah, I know! Good thing I got annointed! That's probably why I feel so much better!" replies the man.

I don't know what you mean by ethnicity. We all have many ethnicities. If you are European you have Neanderthal ancestry. Autosomal testing can fairly well identify this for you. It will be a tiny percentage but testing will detect it. The percentages are less accurate for the trace heritages than the more prominent heritages. But otherwise, the tests are pretty accurate. The databases that various services use are updated from time to time as the scope of sampling becomes broader. This is refinement.

Migrations can be reconstructed from genetics. There is already a lot of research in the areas that you mention dating from the pre-Genetics days. What you don't want to use is the pseudo-history and legend that Herman Hoeh relied on.

If you want to read further about the autosomal history of the European people, have a look at:

https://armstrongismlibrary.blogspot.com/2023/01/bubonic-plague-massacres-captive-women.html

This pretty much lays Hoeh's sorting of ethnicities in Europe to rest.
