Except… plot twist! He possesses exactly zilch. Zero. bupkis. A whole lot of nothing wrapped in an empty website. No structure, no ministers (unless you count the mirror), no bank account that’s ever seen a tithe check, no publishing empire unless “copy-paste” counts as an industrial process. His entire “ministry” consists of other people’s articles, videos, magazines, and letters that he’s helpfully liberated—without so much as a permission slip from GCI, the actual copyright holders. Truly the pirate bay of Armstrongism.
And yet, undeterred by reality, we’re treated once more to the stirring sermon: “Herbert W. Armstrong was basically Jesus with better suits—how dare you not drop everything and sprint back to the one true faith once delivered?!” Yes, let’s definitely restore the church to those golden glory days… you know, the ones famous for their wholesome atmosphere of corruption, power-abusing ministers, and general cesspool vibes.
Because nothing says “God’s one true church” like grand theft content and a complete absence of everything else.
He writes:
Now if a minister who had been ordained under Mr Armstrong, rejects the leadership of Jesus Christ through the apostle, and rejects a piece of truth, cherry picking what he wants, then he like Tkach separates himself from the church spiritually and takes his congregations with him!
That’s why it is important to remember what was taught through the apostle, for it is foundational for us as the true church!
So from the perspective of the ministry, these groups do not make up the true Church of God, but provide the means for them to take care of their congregations in the Lord.
What I have come to say, and have been saying for 15+ years, is REDUCE the departures of Christ, repent, and remember.
Embrace the apostle, as he is part of our foundation in the Lord! He preached the truth and he was under the direction of Jesus Christ.
Self willed men, do not want to follow him and do not want to continue faithfully in what he taught.
That makes it clear to the rest of us, they are not part of the body of Christ and should be avoided.
But Satan has his false ministers and false brethren, pretending and applying pressure to those of the Body of Christ to accept any sort of apostasy they deem “okay”.
Most false ministers or false brethren, consider some apostasy as “growth”.
If it detracts from what Christ revealed through His apostle, then we know it is not of Jesus Christ.
For those who are of God, hear the apostle and receive the Word of God, not as words of men.
If we allow it, we can be developed into another church, by these “groups”.
We read in Revelation 12:17, that a remnant of the True Church will not go into a place of safety! Satan will turn around and wage war on them!
If you ignroe Samuel, you will be left behind with Bob Thiels remenant when everyoen esle flees to Petra. This threat is so worn out and over used that no one ceres anymore.
He wants to destroy this Church! And if he could get you separated into multiple groups, he knows you aren’t going into a place of safety!
And that will develop us into the Laodicean Church, that needs to repent and obey the Lord under the cruel and merciless tyrannical gentile government that will be the Beast Power in the Great Tribulation.
The Laodicean era, will have an OBEDIENT CHURCH, who keeps the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ! At least half of those there will repent, as shown in Matthew 25 with the parable of the ten virgins.
Through repentance they will become converted members of the Worldwide Church of God!
The Worldwide Church of God will go into a place of protection as promised by Jesus Christ!
The name Worldwide Church of God, is a spiritual name, placed on a people who have Herbert W Armstrong as part of their foundation.
No other church is like it.
Some may use his face and name, but if they aren’t 100% back of Mr Armstrong and the truth He taught us, they are misleading and bearing false witness.
We are either 100% standing on the foundation or we are off of it. No fence riding. No lukewarm attitude, that gets us to bear false witness!
We see this in Revelation 3:9.
So what we have today, is the Worldwide Church of God. Those attending these “groups” should exit these groups, in order to continue faithfully in the Lord!
These groups could repent, and redirect their efforts, to prepare the people as they were ordained to do!
But I fear too may are hostile against Jesus Christ and his apostle! They are too unwilling to repent and to include Herbert W Armstrong as part of their foundation. And by excluding him, they just sever themselves.
Many have tried to bring people into “groups”. I am concerned about the Foundation of the Worldwide Church of God. It is spiritual. The people are connected spiritually to Jesus Christ our Head and God the Father His Head! Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and through the truth.
Not part of the truth. 100% of the truth.
The congregations in Iowa, from those of these groups, can organize into “the Iowa congregations of the Worldwide Church of God”
The congregations in Australia, could organize into “the Australia congregations of the Worldwide Church of God”
This reconnects people to one identity, the Worldwide Church of God, and also provides the ministry the means to hold monies, assets and property without pushing the people away into “groups”.
Jesus Christ wants us to be the Philadelphia candlestick! Not a bunch of groups.
Will you brethren stand with me, and pray and fast and beseech God about this? Because we won’t go to the place of safety divided. We won’t enter the Kingdom of God divided!
So take it to Jesus Christ! And obey Him and the Word of God!
In the swirling vortex of Armstrongist splinters—where every third guy had a nightmare where a questionable entity spoke to him and a grudge declared himself the One True Heir to the Mantle—we have another one trying to resurrect the glory days of old.
Christianity’s cornerstone isn’t a 34-year-old Iowan playing dress-up as the Restorer of All Things, complete with a website that looks like it time-traveled from 2003 and a “ministry” budget that couldn’t buy a Happy Meal.
No, the real foundation—the one that’s been holding up actual believers for two millennia—is Jesus Christ. Not Herbert W. Armstrong, not his endless stream of booklets about British Israelism or prophetic date-setting that aged like milk left in the sun, and certainly not some self-appointed successor who thinks that “restoring the church” means hoarding copyrighted material like it’s the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Imagine the sheer audacity—the galaxy-brain levels of delusion—required to stand amid the wreckage of broken homes, estranged children, drained bank accounts, and families shattered by “God’s government”, and still proclaim, “Follow me! I’ve got the pure, unadulterated 1975 doctrines right here! No adulterated post-1986 grace nonsense—just good old fear, guilt, and triple tithing!”

Samuel's "Worldwide Church of God" presently has just 1 member. But he's right, as he/it will probably end up in a place of protection. You and I call it an insane asylum (or "mental health ward"), but I'm sure we all agree that Samuel does need protection from the consequences of his delusions, and there are competent mental health authorities ready and able to provide that protection.
If I embrace the Apostle, will my hose un-kink and will the golden oil flow from my candlestick?
"Pleased to see you, too!"
Man worship! To which era of Herbert Armstrong, 1930's, 40s, 50's, 60's, 70's or 80's of his beliefs does Aaron Dean...sorry Kitchen want people to follow and dare not differ from ?
For Herbert of the 1930's wasn't of the same beliefs as himself in the 1970's. So if we use Kitchen's judgment rules then Herbert apostacised from himself.
Let me guess late 1970's and early 80's Herbert Armstrong is Kitchen's idol. Height of wealth and power preaching in gold trimmed buildings, not 1930's Herbert living off cornflakes and walking up hills to preach in small town wooden buildings.
This really isn't all that surprising when we realize that Charles Manson, David Koresh, and Jim Jones also still have fervent followers. It is part of the human condition to look to men who appear to know more than self for a sense of direction. It's why there are so many warnings in the Bible against idolatry.

Sam Kitchen wrote: "...We read in Revelation 12:17..., that a remnant of the True Church will not go into a place of safety! Satan will turn around and wage war on them!..."
What happened to that phrase from Jesus that said: "Thy Will be done?"
Rev 12:17 "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."
It is God's Will that that remnant of God's Church exist, or God would be a liar. They will be in the first resurrection.
God inspired the apostle Paul to tell us: "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;" Eph 4:11
And that word "some" should be replaced with the definite article "the," so we already have what we need from the "The Apostles," which did not include HWA, who taught us to believe our Bibles.
HWA, like Joe Tkach Sr., could be called servants of God (e.g. Moses and Nebuchadnezzar were servants of God), but apostles?
We already have The Apostles and their words are in our Bibles. I'm still learning from them; aren't you, Sam?
Sam K also wrote: "...Jesus Christ wants us to be the Philadelphia candlestick! Not a bunch of groups.

Sam, how much choice do you think you, we actually have in regards to what God inspired to be written in Revelation 3:7-22 about the Church in Philadelphia and the Laodiceans? Can we play musical churches like we may have played musical chairs?
They're all going to be in the first resurrections, whether one goes to "her place in the wilderness" or not.
If we accept that what is happening is in accordance with "Thy (Jesus's God, Jesus' Father) Will be done," then why strive to disannul God's Will.
So, really, is there any need for brethren to stand with you, Sam, "...and pray and fast and beseech God about this?" And don't forget the words of Isaiah 58:3, from a real prophet: "Wherefore have we fasted, [say they], and thou seest not? [wherefore] have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours."
Time will tell...

Samuel writes "it is important to remember what was taught through the apostle." Well Sam, that's the problem. We do remember Herb's failed 1975 prediction. Thousands were harmed by this attempt to bully Christ to return prematurely in order to hide the failure of Warsaw Pact communism. Yes, he was a closet commie. Many were greatly harmed but kept silent to hide the shame of being conned by a city slicker ad man.
"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth." - Hebrews 11:13
Better to embrace the promises of God's Kingdom than any human claiming to fulfill them.
David Koresh fervent followers in 2026 ?
Agee, and concerning apostles as we read in the Ephesians to which you refer John , and 1 Corinthians, these are statements to the then church , the recipients of Paul’s letter. Concerning the apostles then appointed and which we read of in the Gospels and Acts. And when we read of the requirements of an apostle it is apparent Armstrong did not meet them. Those who are asking people today to recognize Armstrong as an apostle are sadly misleading. He is merely a self appointed one.
What a lazy assed question, 1:25. All you had to do was click your mouse a couple times, just like me! Sheesh!
Oh but RL, one has already embraced the birthright blessings that were promised to them in the BI doctrine. They were afar off, but received them after the Louisiana Purchase. They are not strangers or pilgrims in this nation, as they have inherited the physical blessings in the nation and company of nations that God had promised them thousands of years ago. Thanks to Armstrongism, as we still see has a hold on many till this day.
"Embrace the Apostle" said HWA as Dorothy entered the room...
I never heard of any myself, 1:25pm, but I can guarantee that any bad idea you can think of has probably been tried by SOMEONE out there.

I don't know who initially put that title Apostle on HWA, who for a long time was referred to as a Pastor General. Joe Tkach Sr. may have used the same title of Apostle, although he probably thought he was more of just a General. One individual used to use the phrase General Pastor.
Whether HWA was self-appointed, or not, we may someday learn for sure. Only one human, as the workmanship of God's hands, was perfect: Jesus Christ. Other human beings were also the workmanship of God's hands...e.g. Nebuchadnezzer, Noah, The Apostles of Eph 4:11, Paul himself, etc.
There is an interesting book titled The Avatar, written by a Jonathan Cahn, which I find to be very interesting; however, the book uses OT scriptures regarding various characters (e.g. Kings Jehu, Joram, Jehoram, etc.) and relates them to personalities of today (e.g. Trump, Bill Clinton, Obama, Biden, etc.), respectively. It's just interesting, and the book does not make us think that Jesus Christ is coming "very soon" in e.g. 3-5 years.
Is God busier than we know? How about the principalities even among those of God's Church (Rev 2-3)?
Isaiah thought so.
"But now, O LORD, thou [art] our father; we [are] the clay, and thou our potter; and we all [are] the work of thy hand." Isaiah 64:8
All human beings, except Christ, were/are flawed. Will God eventually work with a bunch of flawed human beings, who one day will acknowledge that a God may have been involved in their lives?
Time will tell...
John
P.S. Within my comment I mentioned (e.g. Kings Jehu, Joram, Jehoram, etc.); however, after posting it I noticed I left out King Ahab, who is like a shadow/pattern for Bill Clinton.
So, the above info in parenthesis should be replaced by the following.
(e.g. Kings Jehu, [[Ahab]], Joram, Jehoram, etc.)
FWIIW, Jezebel, Ahab's wife, was like a shadow/pattern for Hillary Clinton.
Anyway, time will tell. How perfect is Jesus' God, Jesus' Father? We may learn that the Bible one day, via a pure language, and eliminating any mistranslations inspired by Satan, will actually be The Forever Book, but as I usually say:
Time will tell...
John
If Herbert Armstrong were resurrected now, back to a human flesh body, Sam Kitchen would be the first to go sit on his lap, or kiss his bottom.
Celebrate! Celebrate! Dance to the music!
