Dear brethren,
I am writing this to ask something special of you, of those who can participate.
As you probably have heard, President Donald Trump had called May 27th this year, a NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER to re-dedicate this nation to God once again.
He has invited Americans to the National Mall in Washington, D.C. for this special occasion.
I have been reading in the literature of God’s Church, how it is is GOOD and PROPER to support one’s country when sanctifying a people to give thanks to God, and this special occasion President Trump has called for, surely gives occasion for God’s people to stand up and support such a right and proper thing!
I am thinking of attending this social occasion in Washington D.C. I also was thinking, if there was a gathering together of God’s people there, and together would sing hymns and thank God and pray for this nation and people.
Jesus Christ is going to CUT the Great Tribulation short, because of THIS CHURCH. And these people, our neighbors and family, are sanctified for a Holy purpose!!!! Through us, do we realize this brethren! As soon as we ARE OUT OF HERE, and in a place of safety, the greatest trouble ever to happen in world history is going to befall the peoples of the English speaking nations.
But Jesus Christ intervenes, and we have a part in its God’s Church.
I want to get a census of how many of you would be willing to go to Washington D.C with me, on May 27th to stand up together as God’s Church, to pray for this nation and its leaders, and to dedicate them to the Great God of Heaven and Earth? This would be about SANCTIFICATION, to set this nation and people apart for HOLY USE by God.
And wouldn’t it be wonderful for God’s people to come together, at such a time as this, to THANK & PRAISE GOD for His plan for this nation and people, to pray for their repentance and for their turning unto the true God in obedience?
They do not know the true God, but we do brethren, and like the Athenians who had an altar unto the unknown god, Paul had the opportunity to witness for Christ. So do we also have an opportunity to witness but Christ here.
Pray about it brethren. Take it to God and get stirred up! Are you ALL IN to be part of this great Work of God? Or are you lukewarm, kind of guessing, holding back, and not wanting to participate until you see clear skies and easy roads?
This year’s Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread are going to be probably the most important we are going to experience by far! One year closer to Christ’s return! And a test whether we are rightly discerning the Lord’s Body! If we aren’t here to do the Work of God and we hold back we are NOT rightly discerning the Lord’s Body! Let be sure we are!

So the coming holy days are going to be "the most important we are going to experience by far!"
How many times have we heard the similar "best feast yet" claim. Or the "one last push." Or the "give until it hurts, and then give some more." All from the Bestest Best Church of God.
Christianity represents one of the greatest deceptions that Jesus warned about. He strongly rebuked anyone who referred to Him as Christ because He was not, in fact, Christ.
In Matthew 16:20, it states: "Then He charged His disciples that they should tell no man that He was Jesus the Christ."
In Mark 8:29-30, we read: "And He said to them, 'But whom say you that I am?' And Peter answered and said to Him, 'You are the Christ.' And He charged them that they should tell no man of Him."
Similarly, in Luke 9:20-21, it says: "He said to them, 'But whom say ye that I am?' Peter answered, 'The Christ of God.' And He strictly charged them and commanded them to tell no man that thing."
The question arises: Why would Jesus command them so strictly not to reveal that He was the Christ unless He was not?
This leads us to one of the greatest warnings of deception that Jesus spoke of in His own words, found in Matthew 24:4-5 (KNOX): "Jesus answered them, 'Take care that you do not allow anyone to deceive you. Many will come making use of my name; they will say, "I am Christ," and many will be deceived by it.'"
If we delve deeper, we find that the term "Christ" in Greek is Χριστός (Christos), which has significant implications. The Christogram that John used in Revelation 13:18 presents a famous monogram for Christos (Χριστός), featuring the Egyptian pagan mystery symbol of the serpent (ξ) at its centre to give it additional meaning. The sea serpent, identified in Revelation 13:1 as the "beast coming out of the sea," serves as the source of power, authority, and throne of the False Messiah. Consequently, when identifying that beast, John utilised the first and last letters of Christos (X....ς) with the serpent symbol (ξ) in the middle, resulting in χξϛ, which translates to 666. This indicates that the name of the beast is Christos. It's no wonder that Jesus rebuked anyone who called Him Christ, as He was not.
Jesus is referred to as the Son of the Father. In Greek, "Son of the Father" is Bar Abba. Interestingly, during Pontius Pilate's trial, we have the figures of Jesus Barabbas and Jesus Christ. Barabbas means "son of Abba," effectively denoting Jesus, the Son of the Father!
The deception is HUGE! Signing off a letter in the name of Christ by any minister is a telltale sign of the deception.
Taking part in mass gatherings in Washington that have been called by President Trump, even on a Christian innocent National Prayer day, should be considered with great caution. Kitchen appears unwise and naive.

This request will either fizzle out for Sam, or it will not end well. Political cannibalism is eating up our country. The same people who wrap themselves in the Constitution and attempt to make it say what it never said are also going to be co-opting this national day of prayer. All of which has nothing to do with Armstrongism or anything HWA ever said.

The USA is a gentile nation of terrifying great power spending a trillion dollars a year on military might - and willing to use it. I doubt this nation as an amalgam of many peoples needs to somehow find a holy use by God.

Quite so. The USA is a great nation. A gentile nation of astonishing power.
Its own interests are, as in all paramount powers through the ages, its own interests. I expect some day, not in the too distant future, Israel and the USA will have a ‘divorce’, and the special relationship it had with Israel will be history. The nations seek to disinherit her from her heartland in Judah and Shomron (the West Bank). The ‘Peace Board’ for Gaza is simply a rehearsal to divide Israel from her inheritance and to determine her future. No friend of the Armstrong movement but a day of National Prayer for all nations is not to be ignored in these unholy times. Cheers.
I was doing a Jimi Hendrix afternoon today on YouTube. Lots of information about the friendships Jimi had with some of the British guitarists of his day, and how he influenced them. And, of course there are those dratted commercials about every 7-10 minutes.
In past posts, I had recommended that ACOG leaders do commercials for YouTube based on their half a gospel message in the past, but was shocked during the discussion of Jimi Hendrix and Alvin Lee when suddenly there appeared a man in a suit who announced that he was a pastor with an important message. He stated that these were some very strange times in which we live because the "deep state" is instituting some very abnormal

By the way, most people do not know that Carlos Santana's brother Jorge, who was also a virtuoso guitarist, was the leader of the group Malo, best known for their song "Suavecito". It's beautiful, if you've never heard it, check it out.

I'll checked it out bro and it's GOOD!!!, I got into Santana's stuff in the 70s man. Even before that he had Neal Schon in that band. My favorite was an instrumental, "Waves Within".
Me too, man! Just about wore out Abraxas. Loved "Jingo" off the first album, "Mothers Daughter" from Abraxas, and "Everybody's Everything" off Santana III.
But really, everything was good. The drums and percussion were totally unique, especially live at the concerts.

Yea the latin influence on the percussion during that time was important in rock. I liked Armando Peraza back then too. I was saddened by the death of his bass player Doug Rauch who was a phenom. I did not know his brother was a player himself in that Malo group, thanks. he was there too and that song was from 1972. How in the world did I miss that, say a prayer for me instead, BB, Peace.
