The first official Sabbath service in the pilfored wanna-be Worldwide Church of God happened on August 1. It was everything you could imagine and more. Herbert is rolling in his grave right now. It was a masterpiece of digital time travel. Nearly two hours of pure, undiluted 1970's energy beamed straight into 2026 like someone found a dusty Betamax cassette in the old Pasadena TV studios as they were tearing it down, blew the cobwebs off, and decided the world still needed to hear it—while the rest of humanity is busy with, you know, actual current events. The Official Worldwide Church of God Channel delivers a live stream so sparsely attended (a heroic 168 views) that the chat probably consists of Kitchen himself refreshing the page and one guy who wandered in looking for actual kitchen tips from that other Samuel Kitchen, the chef.
I know this will give Samuel clicks to view this, but it is such a trainwreck it is fascinating to fast forward through. Over 2 hours of, Um, batshittery! For those of you who have missed Herb pounding the desk with this fist, the sermonette was of Herb in the Philippines when he was sucking up to Fernando Marcos before he was deposed and his mistress moved to Pasadena on South Oakland Ave. Fists pounding, jowls flapping, and spittle flying.
Oh, and for all of you Laodiecean former song leaders, you can watch how song leading should be done! He even tells you to sit down after singing!
One thing we can be assured of, these kinds of videos will NOT bring in old members or even attract new members. These will never bring in tithe money. No auditorium will ever be purchased.
This is less a Sabbath service and more a museum exhibit of a religious movement that peaked decades ago and is now being kept on life support by one very dedicated third-generation holdout in Iowa and an AI music generator. It’s the spiritual equivalent of insisting that Betamax is still the superior format while the rest of the planet streams 4K. Highly recommended if your idea of cutting-edge Christianity is deifying a deceased broadcaster, and watching the view count struggle to climb past three digits. Everyone else can safely skip—your spiritual foundation will somehow survive without it.

I was going to watch it, but remembered I had to refill my windshield wash reservoir (too many tail-gaitors last week!), and then my pet frog got sick! Thanks for the Cliff's Notes.
Ok, I watched a FEW moments of the video. That was enough lol. The song The Man Was Sent reminded me of Israeli singer, sadly deceased, Ofra Haza. And especially her beautiful song Im Ninalu. A Mizrahi Jew from Yemen, I fell for her when living in Israel late 1970s and early 1980s. A real beauty. That is more that can be said for that 2hour or so monument to HWA. Just after a few minutes watching, I felt a heavy migraine coming on. Doesn’t matter how many clips of HWA Mr Kitchen will produce, there is no coming back for this movement.
Yet this blog recently is listed as 'Armstrong Libary blog'. Aren't you the other side of the same coin Kitchen is on?
Song wasn't too bad but i decided not to read the rest provided. cheers
To let go of his delusion, Sam would need to acknowledge that his father was mentally ill, and that his father's mental illness was compounded by his Armstrongist involvement. Sam loves hs father too much to admit that. So he's in for the long haul, unfortunately.
This is moderately interesting, but still no updates on Dave Pack.
Why not? Either he is still setting wrong dates, which would be very funny, or he has given up - which would also be very funny.
And I think we all need a laugh.
ExRCG.org is showing a new "return date" of Atonement - 9/21/26.
"Some of you will not be going home from this Feast!" - David Pack on Tabernacles Day 1, 2019
Dude, variety is the spice of life. When Weinland was on the rampage, about 4-5 blogs were started up just based on him. They don't exist any more because they were one trick ponies. Pack has become so predictable that the only thing of further interest would be the collapse of his empire.
Did you know my father? My father wasn’t mentally ill. Have you ever personally had contact with my father (not online, but offline)? Yes, I do love my father. It’s a strange comment, coming from a no name commenter. That doesn’t show soundness of mind, and yet here you are accusing my father of being mentally ill? My father was honest and full of faith and was courageous and I respect honesty , faith and courage. I don’t respect your cowardice. And I don’t respect false reports from people who never met the man. He’s dead. Yet people still want to piss on his grave.

Sam's father believed the FBI and FEMA were conspiring to murder his family. That father believed God had specially selected him to lead the revived Worldwide Church of God. That father believed some other very improbable things had been given to him and done to him, but I won't dwell on them here, as Sam is making the poster's point sufficiently, that Sam's idolizing of his father has set him on a course that is objectively not sane.
Sam, by your own writings, your dad was insane. Or, maybe just another COG’er. The question remains, did the COG’s attract crazy people, or did it make them crazy? I think it’s the former. My dad always thought someone was out to get him and he always thought he was smarter than everyone else. He died an unhappy man after a life lived of talking big and accomplishing virtually nothing. Seems to be the way of many COG members. Maybe admitting it will help you move on in life.
What if it was Herbie, a leader ("king" but compare Prov 30:27), who fulfilled Dan 8:23-25? Time will tell (hi John).......
This is so sad. We should pray for special needs people like this.
What an malicious nasty person you really are 11:11. Why don't you move on ? because the nasty vile remarks you type on this blog shows your evil true colours.
Oh Tabernacles less than two months away?? Of course and this year you're out in the cold! Yippeee!
🤣🤣🤣 make it make sense
I am not a religious person (or from the US). I got interested in COGs many years ago when I first read about Weinland, predicting the end of the world on some date in I think 2012. He wrote a colossally stupid book, and my main interest, as with Pack, was how could anybody be such a halfwit. Or are they just conmen who don’t really believe it themselves?
I still look at Weinland’s website from time to time. He’s calmed down a bit now, but he’s just written another bizarrely idiotic book. He’s still there to be laughed at.

Oh boy made me think of Jones and his poor followers who drank the koolaid and didn’t go home alive!
How can you say such terrible things about us, 10:00 PM? Do you kiss your mother with that mouth??? Now you're makimg me think I might be going to the tribulation! And for no greater or more sinful a crime than attempting to assist the son of one of those unordained, disruptive little Mugwumps of the Armstrong movement achieve a little mental stability so he won't end up ruining his entire life with the altered consciousness of some ridiculous fantasy. Shame on you! You need to move on because you just don't fit in here!
Gaslight yourself, you love to answer un-asked questions. The shame is always on you rebellious ministry.
You need to move on because you just don't fit in here!
Oh no 8:03. I'm going to read every article and comment written by you rebels from within the UCG ministry. You don't want church members seeing what you really are like. Isn't that too bad.
Your days of a blog in shrouded complete secrecy are well and truly over. You only have yourselves to blame.
These rebel ministers here hid under anonymity and think they are getting by with all of this hate. We know who they are and their days are numbered on here.
11:06 You are a moron.
Oh LOOK! Yet another Dude trying to get rich off desperate people in the name of Pervert W. Armstrong.
"There's One Born Every Minute" ~ P.T. Barnum
The GREAT APOSTASY (or “the disruption”) of January 1995
Herbert W. Armstrong, the founder of the Radio/Worldwide Church of God in 1933, died on January 16, 1986. The Worldwide Church of God topped out over the next several years with about 150,000 people attending its Feast of Tabernacles.
The APOSTATE Joseph W. Tkach, Sr. did the GREAT APOSTASY of January 1995 by throwing out of the Worldwide Church of God virtually everything that Herbert W. Armstrong had taught and openly writing up in the WCG's Worldwide News newspaper what they were doing. They were no longer denying that they were making any doctrinal changes. To be fair and reasonable they even threw out tithing, but later Joseph Tkach, Jr. tried to bring it back. Joe, Jr. was reported to be willing to lose up to 50% of the WCG members to push through his doctrinal changes, but he ended up losing over 90% of them. What was left of the WCG got renamed Grace Communion International, a ham-eating, Sunday-keeping, Trinitarian church that observes Christmas, Easter, and Halloween, and likes Harry Potter sorcery fiction novels.
Currently, not even one of the Splinter Groups that formed is even one-tenth of the size that the Worldwide Church of God had reached. The UCG was slightly more than that until the “big” UCG-COGWA splinter group split of December 2010.
The UCG is utterly godless, having been formed almost exclusively to provide paychecks and retirement plans for the former WCG ministers who had been laid off. The UCG leaders thought that it was very clever to bring in godless and wicked people since the godless and wicked were so numerous, and to kick out their innocent victims for them since the innocent were so few. Now, the UCG is full of godless and wicked people and can only split and splinter and cannot grow at all.
Even Jim Franks, the leader of COGWA, talks about “the disruption” of January 1995 as if it was all merely about their stream of paychecks being temporarily disrupted until they could form a Splinter Group to restart the money flow. With talk like that, it is not surprising that COGWA youths will not have a clue about their real church history. COGWA does not appear to be growing either. The COGWA thing seems to be sitting around watching movies. In Loma Armstrong's dream shortly after she married HWA, an angel told her that Jesus had work for Herbert to do and that there would be no time for movies. Since the arrival of the push-button leisure era after 1975, more time for television must have been freed up.
Extremely deceitful, warped, and vicious FALSE PROPHETS like Gerald R. Flurry (the co-founder with Satan of the PCG) and David C. Pack (the co-founder with Satan of the RCG) appeared on the scene to prey on the WCG members by at first pretending to be faithfully holding fast to, or planning to faithfully restore, everything that Herbert W. Armstrong had taught. Flurry and Pack both went on to edit, change, delete, add to, mangle, and totally pervert everything even worse than any of the other people that they had initially criticized and accused of making doctrinal changes had done. They ensnared and destroyed thousands of WCG people before their true characters became known. Their satanic imposter cults, the PCG and RCG, have been in continual decline for years now.
It seems like about 333 splinter groups formed. Most are very small. Everyone wants to start their own splinter group, and be in charge, and collect the money, and make up their own pet teachings. Again, not even one of the Splinter Groups is even one-tenth of the size of the WCG at its peak. Also, while they can split and splinter and grow in the number of groups that exist, the Splinter Groups cannot grow in size. The best they can do is talk about “slightly noticeable growth” in Africa when they are being scammed.
How many times do I have to tell you, 11:06? I left the steaming, stinky mess of theological Sh*t when God failed to validate Herbie by completely ignoring 1975. Poor Mr. Armstrong! He had huevos rancheros all over his face in front of all the people he had collected and exploited.
So, I don't need to know nuthin' about what yous call splinters.
Well, 5:19, there are those who believe you'd have to be an atheist to be an effective Armstrongite minister. Maybe that's what the cow is referring to in making her false accusations.
At least two different people here who know the truth. I'm not 11:06. None are fooled by the fake persona's.
8:22 ???
10:13, you are the typical COG’er. You believe in every conspiracy theory you hear with zero evidence or logic. I have never been in the UCG or any of the bigger groups and will never attend one ever again. You people have lost your collective minds. I truly feel sorry for you.
I don't believe in conspiracy theory's. People fedl sorry for you stuck kn a church system you clearly hate whilst running this blog.
Not true.
The Great Apostasy of January 1995 is misleading. It actually happened in 1974. With the '74 doctrinal changes (the famous Monday Pentecost to Sunday Pentecost, and Divorce and Remarriage change) and other changes, it was a matter of time before WCG died. God's Truth lives on though in a very tiny COG remnant. Thank God for it!
Ads during the hymns, LOL. Cannot even be bothered to install an ad-blocker or pay for YouTube to get rid of the ads.
Sorry, Samuel, but you seem to be in need of improving your public speaking skills. Constant ums and uhs are really distracting, and you sound out of breath. Also do not show the ads in the hymns. Just download the hymn videos first and then play them offline on your stream. And maybe come up with new presentations, rather than old Herbie's greatest hits (or misses).
