Elijah Dave Says " You’re not allowed to hold on to your own income." and "You’re not allowed to hold on to your own assets."

One of the biggest tools Elijah Dave has in his arsenal is a huge weapon aimed at his membership through his "all things in common" doctrine that he believes he has restored.  Because he claims to have restored it he says:
If I am restoring this doctrine, it is incumbent on you to obey it…

Fear is the biggest intimidation technique that Armstrongism has in its arsenal.  It has always been a weapon eagerly and effectively used whenever money was in short supply.  Fear of losing ones salvation, being marked from the pulpit and kicked out of the church keeps people in line and wallets open.

From Bob Thiel's blog:

Towards the end of that sermon, he decides to define some terms, like ‘common,’ as he said they have a meaning in RCG that many outside RCG do not know and that they should understand:
Also is the term ‘common.’
Now that’s a term we use to describe what you see in the very beginning of the New Testament church within two or three verses of God building His church on Pentecost A.D. 31. In Acts 2, it says they had everything in common. Now God’s people today have not been taught that. It was my job to teach it. It’s absolutely biblical that what we have we sell, whatsoever we have we give it to God’s work. That’s why we were called.
You’re not allowed to hold on to your own income. It’s all through the Gospels, all through the Book of Acts, and frankly all through the Bible that God’s people have things in common.
This will be the single greatest reason many thousands will not come back to God’s church. But others who see the biblical proof, in verse after verse after verse, of this great doctrine that God has used me to restore. It’s impossible to miss it. They will believe that they have to obey it. They will see that salvation is attached to it just as it was with the rich man in Matthew 19. And they will come ready to carry it out.
That’s the term common.
You’re not allowed to hold on to your own assets.
You have an income. You live a wonderful life. Life goes on normally. But if you were called by God, and you’re to participate in His work, and walk in His ways, you have to you have to turn over your assets to God’s church. That’s the pattern. Acts 2, 3, and 4. It’s what Christ said in the last part of Luke 14…
Be planning to do it.
You’re going to come to be convinced, if you have the Spirit of God, that I am who I say I am. And Mr. Armstrong is who I say he was, and the Bible says who he was. If I am restoring this doctrine, it is incumbent on you to obey it…
And it won’t leave you a pauper. It won’t break your life…And there will be those who obey God and those who don’t.
And when you hear the term common, think of what I will explain to you, because God uses my office to teach truth, not what God’s covetous enemies do not want you to do so that they don’t lose your support. That term is very important…
People do not want you to look into the Bible to see what is impossible, impossible to misunderstand–that is the New Testament church had all things in common. Mr. Armstrong didn’t see it.

Elijah Dave Pack Had To Delete His Own Book In Order To Become Elijah

A reader here writes:

“Elijah Dave Pack Claims To Have Channeled Elijah's Personality and May Soon Be The Most Attacked Human On Earth in 6000 Years!”

David Pack might have learned this old trick of saying he will be attacked from Gerald Flurry. When Gerald Flurry wanted to shove Jesus out of the way and make himself out to be the prophet referred to in Deuteronomy 18:17-19, Gerald started off his five-part sermon series about it by warning that he had some wonderful “new truth” that had been revealed to him that was so wonderful that he was going to be attacked terribly for teaching it. Well, maybe Gerald should have been attacked for telling such outrageous fibs. Maybe everyone should have thrown their Bibles (and shoes and chairs) at Gerald for trying to play such a dirty, satanic trick on them. If this seemed like too strong a reaction, and they preferred to act calm and play it cool in the face of such pure evil, they could have at least just said, “The Lord rebuke thee, Gerald.”

David Pack made it sound like some church member had put this latest idea in his head that he is the Elijah. Even though David is the one who came up with all this stuff and is the one who is trying to force it on everyone else, he made it sound like others came up with the idea. This, too, is exactly what Gerald Flurry had done. Gerald had claimed that some church member had been reading the Bible, noticed Deuteronomy 18:17-19, and suggested to Gerald that he was the prophet mentioned there. Of course, humble Gerald then supposedly honestly, sincerely, prayerfully looked into the matter and realised that the PCG member was absolutely right and Gerald could now make the transition from being “The Unknown Drunk” to being “That Prophet.”

To become the Elijah, David Pack had to delete his own book that he had written called I will Send Elijah to Restore All Things!, which had supposedly proved that HWA was the Elijah. David Pack has now actually begun to accuse people of being “idolaters” if they still believe that HWA was the Elijah. When Gerald Flurry wanted to be a prophet, he bought the copyright to HWA's last book called Mystery Of The Ages and just deleted a couple lines that contradicted Gerald's “new revelation.”

What real proof does David Pack offer that he is the Elijah? Actually, none at all! His so-called “130 PROOFS” are not really proofs at all, but rather just points, thoughts, ideas, suggestions, similarities, coincidences, stories, etc. Not one of them is a real “proof” in the sense that a normal person would think of the word. But three two-hour harangues can tire people out and wear them down until they can think that surely something must have been said amidst all that noise. One of David Pack's “proofs” that HWA was not the Elijah was that HWA had not really restored all things. What David Pack meant by that was that HWA had not known about or restored any of the many new ideas and teachings that David has come up with over the years. So, David reasons, HWA could not have been the Elijah who restored all things. Some people might recall that David Pack used to teach that he was not changing anything that HWA had taught at the time of his death in 1986. David was supposedly just building on it with his new understanding. Gerald Flurry had already done the same thing in the past in his PCG. Gerald had started off by pretending to be holding fast to everything that HWA had taught, and was supposedly just building on it with all the “new revelation” that had “flooded” the PCG.

Elijah Dave Pack and Why He Is Immune To His Lies

From Toxic People: Narcissists in the Ministry

Many who recognize their behavior for what it is believe these leaders are conning their followers, but that’s not accurate. In fact, it’s the exact opposite. A con knows what he or she is doing but chooses to do it anyway, despite the harm it causes. The electronic lords genuinely believe that what they are doing is right, which makes them far more dangerous. In their minds, they have a higher calling than others — a closer relationship with God — making whatever they do seem justifiable to them.

If someone gets in their way, especially someone employed by them, that person is perceived as thwarting God’s will and fully deserving of the retribution they receive from the narcissistic leader. Because these leaders genuinely believe themselves to be better than others, they insist that each of their employees fall in line, regardless of how outrageous or bizarre the superstar’s demands become.

To make matters worse, nearly all of the electronic lords are hypersensitive to criticism. For insulation from disapproval, the lords surround themselves with weak-willed sycophants who wouldn’t dream of disagreeing with them. Instead, these non-entities consistently validate perceptions and behavior that deviate substantially from biblical standards. Within ministries like these, which dominate the electric church, there are two sets of rules: those for the narcissist and those for everyone else.

Within these ministries, a tacit “no-talk” rule is maintained, which keeps the eccentricities of the leader a secret from the rest of the world. And this rule is aggressively enforced. Whenever an underling balks, that person is shamed, castigated and humiliated, while — at the same time — being told that their “bad attitude” is being prayed for. If that doesn’t shame the person into submission, the verbal abuse is intensified and the person is eventually terminated. Wounded, the discarded person often abandons his or her beliefs, while blaming God for what happened, saying, “God should have done something to stop it.”

Undeterred by hurting others in the process of building God’s Kingdom on Earth, which just happens to be their kingdom as well, these narcissists regularly take advantage of others, routinely abusing those they are “called to serve.” Reasoning that the ends justify the means, they use God’s name to wound others. Whenever someone gets in their way, they misuse God’s authority to enforce their will, which certainly takes His name in vain. Believing that they have a higher calling, the evangelical lords are certain that God condones their behavior and methods, which the sycophants who surround them eagerly affirm.

The emotional carnage of wrecked lives left behind by these narcissists has become so extensive that it threatens to outnumber those blessed by their ministry efforts. At the same time, few are willing to call them to task, exposing their behavior to the light, reasoning that such whistle blowing would harm God’s work.

Elijah Dave Pack Claims To Have Channeled Elijah's Personality and May Soon Be The Most Attacked Human On Earth in 6000 Years!

From another visitor here who listened to some of Elijah Dave's third sermon.  The appalling narcissistic arrogance of Elijah Dave knows no boundaries.

After claiming to be Joshua for the last couple of years Dave has now advanced up to Elijah status, so much so that he claims to have taken upon himself the actual personality of the "original " Elijah!  As if some asswipe in the 21st century knows what the Elijah from a 2,000 year old manuscript actually thought and felt.  How stupid can this man get?  Oh, but it gets WORSE!

Elijah Dave now claims that he will soon be the most attacked human in 6,000 years of history.  Anything that Jesus went through pales in comparison to want Elijah Dave may soon be facing!

Elijah Dave's god has been looking after him since his immaculate birth, all through college in Pasadena while wearing his Speedo's, and through three different Church of God's where his arrogance got the better of him and he was kicked out.  His god had a part in all of that leading him to Wadsworth were it told him to build his empire and produce the worlds largest religious web site to ever exist in human history.  It's all so superfantabulous that it boggles the mind!

Speaking of Jesus, have any of you noticed how he says NOTHING about the guy in 6 hours of sermons and 130 points?  It's all about Elijah Dave.  130 "I" statements "proving" he is "Elijah."

"Without [me] God said he would strike the earth with utter destruction" "I may turn out to be the most attacked human being in the last 6000 years" "Now i understand more than ever that God had to look after me in a unique way. I guess he'd have to do that if I were just an apostle, but ..." If I were just an apostle :-) "In so many ways I have Elijah's own personality". "I'm cut from a different cloth from the rest".

Yes, we can all affirm that Elijah Dave is CERTAINLY cut from another cloth than the rest of us!

Elijah Dave: It's Biblical That You Sell Everything You Have And Send The Money To Me

There was no way in hell I was going to sit and listen to Elijah Dave's first superfantabulous sermon.  It was 2 hours long and certainly NO COG minister deserves to be listened to for 2 hours straight!  If they cant say what they need to say in 20 minutes then they need to shut up.  130 points do not prove anything.  Shit still stinks even when 130 points are used to make it smell better.

Thankfully some of you have/are doing it.

Elijah Dave has taken a huge financial hit recently after his failed prophecies  Money did not flow in along with new members after the Feast of Tabernacles last year.  Now Elijah Dave is back telling his brain-dead members that they are to sell everything they have and send it to him.

Pack explains his interpretation of the phrase ‘all things in common’ (Acts 2:44 & 4:32): sell everything you have and send the money to him.

“It’s absolutely biblical that what we have, we sell, whatsoever we have, we give it to God’s work. That’s why we were called. You’re not allowed to hold on to your own income.”

“You are not allowed to hold on to your own assets. You have an income, you live a wonderful life, life goes on normally. But if you were called by God and you are to participate in His work and walk in His ways, you have to turn over your assets to God’s church. That’s the pattern.”

“It won’t leave you a pauper, it won’t break your life.”

Elijah Pack Says He Is Such A Superfantabulous Speaker That You Will Be Unable To Stop Listening To Him

The self appointed Elijah wanna-be Davey Pack has posted the start of his superfantabulous sermon series that contain ONE HUNDRED THIRTY "proofs" on why he is the most superfantabulous Elijah to walk this earth since the "real" one. Herbert Armstrong be damned, Elijah Dave's the man!

Elijah Dave feels some need to have 130 "proof's" on why he is such a sinless creature.  Elijah Dave has elevated himself ABOVE Jesus with these 130 "proof's" of virtue.

Dave starts his latest self-serving slobberfest concerning his speaking abilities and wisdom with this :

After 15 minutes, you will not want to stop. And don’t let your minister stop you. He cannot give you eternal life!

Apparently salvation is NOT possible without Elijah Dave.

With Elijah Dave's immaculate and ungodly appearance upon this earth his god will stop his destruction of the earth now that he Elijah Dave is here.  The entire Church of God has apparently been waiting in eager anticipation for Elijah Dave's arrival.  Don't worry about the coming of Jesus, Elijah Dave is MORE important.

Among the most important prophecies in Scripture, Malachi 4:5-6 states that without the end-time Elijah’s arrival, God would “smite the earth with utter destruction”! Thousands with a Church background are waiting for Elijah (Matt. 17:11), believing this man to be one of the Two Witnesses (Rev. 11:3). Scripture makes clear this theory is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE. But, if Herbert W. Armstrong was not the Elijah, who was he? The answer is crucial in ways only the sermon can show you, and must be understood before God reunifies His people.

Next Elijah Dave waxes eloquent on how eloquent and charming he is as a speaker.  No other man in human history has ever been as dynamic or wise as Elijah Dave.  Jesus' words pale in comparison to God's most important man to ever live in the Church of God.

Elijah Dave's message was sooooooooooooooooooooooo superfantabulous that not one single person in the ENTIRE Restored Church of God disagreed with him!  NOT ONE!  Well of course not!  Given that they would quickly be disfellowshipped and marked for doing so.  Families would be broken and marriages destroyed, but Elijah Dave needs to be believed.

These are the most important messages I have ever given. Hundreds in The Restored Church of God have commented in just the last two days like this: “electrifying,” “exhilarating,” “amazing,” “gripping,” “game-changing,” “awesome,” “captivating,” “overwhelming,” “tremendously inspiring,” “profound,” “mind-blowing” and “emphatically irrefutable.” Great numbers said they understood the message in less than 10 proofs. Few even needed the LAST 100 PROOFS! And no one—none!—to our knowledge out of thousands who heard has disagreed, and we have heard from virtually every pastorate in the world!
Elijah Dave's message is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo incredible that it will soon divide every single Church of God right down the middle.  Elijah Dave takes great delight in knowing he intends to destroy more families and lives.

To reject Elijah Dave and his message is equivalent to rejecting the entire Bible.  The Bible was written to foretell the coming of Elijah Dave and his message of redemption destruction.

These messages will eventually divide the splinters and slivers down the middle. There are two kinds of people. Those driven by emotion—and those led by the Holy Spirit who are driven by scripture, truth, facts, evidence, proof and simple logic. Perhaps half the people you meet with will agree, and the other half will attack. THERE IS NO AVOIDING THIS. But, to reject their message, one must reject a host of IMPOSSIBLE TO MISUNDERSTAND Scriptures!

Cal Culpepper and the Philadelphia Church of God Screw Over Another Widow Taking Her Money Then Casting Her Aside

The disgusting filth that is the Philadelphia Church of God continues its record of abuse towards its members.  Elder abuse seems to be an ongoing issue with the PCG, especially when they are set to reap financial gain from bleeding a member dry.

How many more lives and families need to be ripped apart by the revolting polices of this destructive cult?

Excerpts from the Exit and Support letter:  My Mom Finally Saw the Truth About Philadelphia Church of God

I have read about the abuse of the elderly in Philadelphia Church of God and thought it might be time, now that my mom has died, to provide yet another testimony concerning this issue. This one has an added difference. She was the widow of a minister in the PCG.

Now for her story. I don't know about the widows of all of the ministers, but I can testify that this widow received no pension or help from PCG headquarters. After she had given a great deal of her inheritance to the PCG, and being only on social security and still tithing that little sum, she requested third tithe assistance as her rent had gone up. You know this is the tithe that is supposed to be used for the widows and fatherless. Well, they took several months to get back to her. It took so long that she had to renew her lease and was on the hook for rent for another year. Finally, her regional pastor, whom I won't name, but his first and last initials are the same [C. C.], called her and told her that if she had been a better steward of her money she would not need to "beg from the church." You read that right--beg. They thanked her for her donations and then accused her of being a poor steward of her money because she needed help.
 -----
She was devastated. I suggested she ask for her money back so that she could show them what a good steward she could be if not being coerced into giving all her money to them, but she wouldn't do that. She decided she couldn't live on her own anymore and, like a good PCG follower, she counseled with her regional minister about moving in with her son, my brother. He told her she was not been allowed to move in with him because he was "toxic." This minister didn't know my brother. He had never been in a "church of God" [WCG offshoot] but he had made it quite clear to our stepfather minister how he felt about the whole thing. She decided she was going to move in with him anyway and did. Yay to my mom! This was the beginning of her thinking on her own.
 -------
She was in and out of hospitals and rehab centers for a couple of months and during that time was anointed at least three times by the ministers from the church I attend and visited by those she had formerly shunned who had never gone to the PCG. I might add that she never did believe the shunning was right and a lot of the people in the PCG don't believe it either. They live in fear. These were her own words. She told me she feared the regional minister more than God and came to realize that was not the way to be.1 There is no love in the PCG ministry. She indicated her previous minister, Aaron Eagle, was a much better person than the minister she had at the end and she thought that he was put out because of it. She saw that God is trying to build a family and that Satan, through PCG, is trying to destroy families.

In the end, Mom had to recant what she said when she told me she had to shun me for my own good, about being poor, blind and naked when she realized it is the PCG that fits that description.2
