Yes, but have any of the Armstrongists yet claimed it was God's Vengeance? It's not clear how that could be connected to anything rational, but heck, who expects rationality from dingbats predicting the fall of the United States in 1975, 1986, 1994 and 2005? Or was that 2008?
Anyway, we could spice things up if we could get some really delusional references from a reading of the Armstrongists. They've had enough time already, haven't they? I mean, what part of "the Wrath of God" and "earthquakes in diverse places" don't they get... yet?
Please, please, make our day! Show them ignoring tragedy for their own boasting. Show them being the kind of jerks who can trade in human misery for profit (or is that prophet?). Show them up for the scoundrels they are.
When I was still in (COG), any major disaster was fodder for GTA's weekly taped sermons. At the time, I was listening to a bit of Meredith's group (LCG), and it was even more pronounced with his sermons. Rest assured, gentlemen, the sheep were given two hours of spittle flecked End Time sermonizing today and last Sabbath. Let no natural disaster go unexploited.

P.S. I can even remember the way the sermons would invariably start out:
"Good morning, brethren. All of you are aware, of course, of the heart-breaking disaster in (insert country). Of course, we of God's Church are not surprised and shocked, for God's Word tells us that in the Last Days...." Etc.
