Rod Meredith's Deep Seated Racism Comes To The Surface Again

Rod Meredith is still wailing on about blacks rising up against whites in this country.  This has been one of his fear tactics for 60 some years. He has always referred to African-Americans as "Gentiles in our midst."  Since they are not from the chosen seed of the 12 tribes they cannot share in the glorious truth of British Israelism.  That doctrine is at the very core of the racist polices and teachings of the Living Church of God, United Church of God, Philadelphia Church of God and the Restored Church of God.

Living Church of God members will soon be cowering in fear of their black neighbors.  After they have slaughtered many of the white LCG members, demons will be unleashed to finish wreaking havoc.
We in God’s Church will soon be surrounded by situations where whites are killing blacks, blacks are killing whites, and almost no one truly loves and trusts people of other races or ethnic backgrounds. We will come to the place where increasing numbers of demons will be “set loose” and unleash truly powerful attitudes of hate and violence. Literally millions of people in Europe will become so deceived by Satan and his demons that they will literally “make war” against Christ Himself as He returns to this earth as King of kings! Remember, as I have explained a number of times, Revelation 17:12–14 makes this very clear. Those brainwashed young men in the coming army of the “Beast” will “make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen and faithful.” This very real “war” against God Himself—in the person of Jesus—will occur within the lifetimes of many of you! It will be a time like that described back in Genesis 6:5–10. Personal - Will You Walk With God?

The church has always loved to give the impression it was racially just in its actions. Blacks were relegated for many years to attend the Big Sandy Feast site. If they camped, which most did, they were relegated to the last couple of rows of spaces in the piney woods the farthest away white the whites were closer to the restrooms/showers and the tabernacle. In the tabernacle building they usually sat at the rear of the building.

The churches of god have had these demons in them since the beginning. Beelzebub, Herbzebub, Rodzebub, all sorts of zebubs since Herbie discovered he could make a living off religion.

No it is the old scare tactic.

LCG likes to tell its members that they can not enter the Kingdom without the ministry.

And you are shining a light on their awful attitudes and practices. So there for he has to remind the people that the end is near and they need him to get into the Kingdom.

So you better not leave the church so you can be saved from all the terrible things that are about to happen...

Same old story and tactics

How much more clear can we be:

The United States is a Gentile nation.

Ask the Jews.

That doesn't work. Most LCG members left WCG before most of the ministers. LCG members know full well that many ministers are hirelings, who follow where the members go who'll fund their paychecks and retirements.

After two decades post-WCG, increasing numbers of LCG members are waking up, banking their tithes instead of buying expensive trips and rich meals for Meredith and his children.

Rod Meredith will not live long enough to see fulfilled what he is telling us: "...Remember, as I have explained a number of times, Revelation 17:12–14 makes this very clear. What does Rev 17:11-14 say?

Revelation 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

:13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

For years (decades?) now people have been looking for them 10 kings, 10 nations, but where are they?

The context of these verses, along with some others, indicate that those 10 kings/nations will not be on the scene until AFTER Satan is loosed from the bottomless pit.

That is over a 1,000 years from today and therefore won't happen in our lifetime......unless one is a sealed Firstfruit and is made alive as a spirit being in the first resurrection, but time will tell.

In my opinion, Rod is so "out-of-date," especially if he still puts any faith in the old WCG Beast Chart, but time will tell...

Meredith woukd also like to be thrown in jail like Paul. He mentions it all the time. "We are preaching the truth stonger than ever in the history if time brethren! One day I might be tortured, jailed, put in chains even, just like the apostle Paul! Don't be surprised when this happens brethren, remember I warned of this. Remember how much Satan wants to DESTROY this work. The very work of God!"

What does it say about Meredith's babysitters that they let this make it through editing?!

Lil Jimmy is supposed to be "helping" him now that his mind is slipping. Way to go NCIS Jim. Way to take care of old dad!

And what about all the other butt lickers that like to suckle from the power tit??? Could it be contrived? Part of a calculated take over? Planting roots of incompetence as evidence that the emperor isn't wearing clothes?

Time will tell. It's like a juicy Shakesperan tragedy!

I had a co-worker decades ago who liked to get high on drugs and then study the Bible. The word "incongruous" somehow came to mind.

The very idea of Christian, God-sanctioned racism reinvents Christianity into a perverse form of cannibalism.
No wonder the prophecies of these jive asses never becomes fulfilled! It is insane.

Meredith has long said ridiculous and racist stuff like this.

The following quote is from Chapter 4 of John Tuit's book, The Truth Shall Set You Free, his book discussing the forced receivership.

"Elbert Atlas is one of the few black ministers in the Church and the only black Area Coordinator. Unfortunately, he appears to be very sensitive to this fact and ever-mindful of the feelings of some of the top officials in the Church. He will probably never forget the statement, by Rodrick C. Meredith, a top-ranking evangelist who was later to become Director of the ministry "that one of the signs of God's displeasure with America was the fact that many blacks were ruling over us." And he called particular attention to the black mayor of Los Angeles. He further stated that no black should have authority over whites."

So it seems that Meredith has been saying ridiculous and racist stuff like this for a long time.

I will also add that PCG also indulges in such stereotyped fear mongering as well. Especially when a riot or civil disturbance of some kind occurs.

"The very idea of Christian, God-sanctioned racism reinvents Christianity into a perverse form of cannibalism."

The United Nations defines racism as "any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin." Discrimination against people because they are from a different tribe or ethnic group fits this definition.

Modern "christians" who've never read their bible might be tempted to assume the UN's definition was probably inspired by the bible, which, after all, must be a book about love, peace, and tolerance, right?

But all Armstrongists read their bible, so they know what's in there. Nothing but the pure and inerrant word of a benevolent and perfect god who is trying desperately to save (only) one of the species he created, but who, so it seems, are continually bent on nothing but their own self-destruction. Usually it's the few bad apples who spoil the barrel, but not according to the bible, which according to the table of nations, says the bad apples outnumber the good ones by 70 to 1. And which ones are the "good" ones? That's easy, they can all be unambiguously identified by their descent. That means the "bad" ones also can be unambiguously identified by their descent also. And upon this basis, in places like Deuteronomy 7, biblegod goes on, not merely to sanction but to command, not only racism, but racial genocide.

Oh, but that was the OT, and all those other non-israelite people were "bad apples" and since god is only about love, peace, and tolerance, and god, on the basis of definitions alone, cannot be other than perfect, and cannot render anything but perfect judgement, these ethnically identifiable people who god issued the order to be summarily exterminated, well, they must have had it coming to them. Besides, in the NT, things were different, right?

Not according to the gospel of Matthew, in chapter 15:

"And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying; Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table."

Some could say that Jesus didn't really mean that bit about Canaanites (descendants of Ham) being "dogs" because he finally agreed to heal her. However, the text itself presents that healing, not as a slice of bread on plate served to a human being (descendant of Israel), but as a "crumb" which has fallen off the "master's table" onto the floor.

Any bible reader who thinks that a perverse god-sanctioned racist christianity is the reinvention of an older, original christianity that was only about love, peace, and tolerance is reading it with rose-colored glasses. It's quite the other way around, I'm afraid...

And then there's the 1700 years of christian antisemitism. But I suppose the determined apologist could find ways to argue that shouldn't count either...

Ignorant racists and bigots, including the ACOG "theological Einsteins" have actually read their own character into this passage and its companion in Mark to suit their own purposes, not unlike they do with "Let the dead bury the dead". But, reams have been written in commentaries about the encounter, providing enlightenment and depth in understanding.

The gist: After an exchange regarding a universal household scene involving children and their pets at dinner time, Jesus honors the woman's faith and request. This, regardless of the fact that the woman had interrupted the rest and private mentoring Jesus was providing for his disciples while they were on a retreat in the vicinity of Tyre, placing them at risk of gathering the very crowds from which they were temporarily seeking respite.

By feigning the simpleton to make your point, deliberately igging out, you have disgraced your own screen name! Aren't you ashamed? Go to your room, and don't take any of your puppies with you, either.

While being a racist at this time, in 2015 is inexcusable, the racist polycies at Big Sandy in the 1950's were, if anything, more moderate than the policies of most of the Southern USA states at that time.

For those that were not around at that time may I remind you that in 1950's Southern USA in the general society the races were kept separate.

There were separate schools, separate hotels, separate bars, separate hospitals, separate toilets, separate parks, separate public telephone booths.

In shared buildings, there were separate sections in libraries, in cinemas, in restaurants and on the bus.

Also, there were state laws prohibiting interracial marriage. The Supreme Court, as far back as 1883 had declared such laws as constituional. That verdict was only overturned in 1967.

So someone coming from that background, living in the late forties, and the fifties, were brought up in a society where racism was the norm, so to a degree I can understand what happened in the fifties in the COG – the church was bringing along it's racist baggage that it had picked up from the general society.

However society changed, and in that respect is living more in accordance with Biblical principles.

A pity the COGs did not keep up with society in this issue.

It is interesting that Rod Meredith would like to be like the Apostle Paul.

Well, Paul did more than go to jail. Close to the time of his death Paul said this (Does Rod Meredith say this too?)

"Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me." Romans 7:17

Does Rod want to be this much like Paul? Paul knew sin dwelled within him. Is Rod as aware of sin dwelling within himself too...like Paul? I doubt it, because Rod writes like everyone needs to have character like he thinks he has. Was Paul mistaken?

"Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me." Romans 7:20

There it is: Paul said it again! We understand why Paul was thrown in jail, but Rod? Rod really does not qualify like Paul did.

Jesus Christ those associated with Him to: "Love your neighbor." Paul agreed with that, but it appears that Rod would rather "judge your neighbor" and then condemn them neighbors. The gospel that the Living Group has a lot of losers if it's true.

God gave His law to ancient physical Israel. He did not give it to the Philistines, the Egyptians or any other nation on earth.

The gospel Paul taught has lots of winners, because he believed the following, which Rod does not believe:

"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:19

For Rod: if God has a Plan whereby trespasses will not be imputed to this world, as Paul stated and believed, then why do you judge your brothers and sisters like you do? Apparently God is up to something you are not aware of.

There are some that believe that groups like Living, Philadelphia, and associations like United and COGWA, have nothing to do with God's Church, but are just man-made organizations looking out for self, a paycheck, retirement money, etc.

But if Rod is really a part of God's Church, then he better look at the remaining fingers on his hands as he is pointing and shouting at others, because God's Word says:

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:..." 1 Peter 4:17

Is Rod's "house" of Rod, or is it of God? Time will tell...

Mr. Meredith claims LCG is doing Isaiah 58:1 "Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins." Then, he freely admits this: "We cannot preach about abortion and homosexuality on TV as strongly as we would like." Which is it? Obedience to the Word of God and trusting him to back you up? Or, taking council of your own fears of getting kicked off stations?
Worse yet, the LCG members believe him when he says LCG is doing the work better than anywhere else. "We can't leave. There's nowhere else to go." Wake up, people. You're propaganda victims.

Questeruk, it's important to remember that as the society around him changed for the better and became less racist, Herbert Armstrong did not.

In fact, HWA even took a few steps backward and became even MORE racist as he grew older!

Exactly – I think we are in agreement on this issue.

If you re-read my posting you will see that I said “society changed, and in that respect is living more in accordance with Biblical principles. A pity the COGs did not keep up with society in this issue.”
