OH NOES!!!!! The tribulation will begin late this year! Run for your lives!

The longer our self-appointed Church of God prophets are cooped up in their homes, the more their minds wander into delusional thinking. Today, it is James Malm, the official Church of God Pharisee and Zealot. Between begging his tens of followers to send him money and tripping out to never-never land in search of new visions, he is predicting the tribulation will start this fall in order for his creature Jesus "christ" to return, soon.  This apparently means that Ron and Laura Weinland (the two witless witnesses) need to get their act together so they can go and preach in Jerusalem for 3 1/2 days and then be slaughtered on live TV.

In spite of all of this, none of our prophets ever take heed of the scripture that tells them to NOT make these asinine predictions.  They are always ignoring this scripture since they are the personal mouthpiece for their god. After all, how can the god of each of these men ever deceive them?

Pharisee Malm writes:
29 April:  Daniel was told by the angel Gabriel in the 2300 Day prophecy of Daniel 8 that Messiah would come to cleanse the temple mount and build the Ezekiel temple 2,300 years after the empire of Alexander was divided into four parts.  This clearly sets the coming of Christ in 2024 A.D. which means that the tribulation would begin late this year.
Of course that date depends on an accurate starting date which was always a problem to find.  God also told Daniel by the angel that an understanding of the prophets was sealed until the very last minute (Dan 12:9) and that at the very last moment knowledge would be increased as the prophets were unsealed (Dan 12:10). Over the past few years God has revealed more and more and now has provided a way to confirm that date with a better understanding of other prophecies which also date the onset of the tribulation.
This is now being worked on and a post covering the prophecies telling us when the tribulation will begin is coming on May 13.
Which Church of God leader is right?
  • James Malm with his imminent tribulation resulting in his creature "christ" returning soon after?
  • Dave Pack with his return of this thing he calls Jesus "christ", last week to Wadsworth, Ohio?
  • Gerald Flurry with his Jesus "christ" returning to sit on his coronation stone, that he will fly from Edmond, Oklahoma to Jerusalem after they dig up Hill Tara and recover the Ark of the Covenant?
  • Bob Theil with his Mayan calendar and visions of Fatima that predict the 2026 return of his Jesus "christ"?
  • Ron and Laura Weinland as the two witless witnesses who will soon hit the streets of Jerusalem (after Laura hocks her diamond rings) so that his creature JC can return with vast armies to slaughter the people of the world.
  • Zerubbabel? He is so crazy I don't think he even knows when his creature is returning.
The answer is quite simple. Every single one of these men are liars and cannot be trusted.

Couldc you post the time so I can record it on my wide screen, I'm bored with lock down and would that be GMT or SMT, East Coast Time? My smart(er than prophets) TV needs specifics? And would it be wise to get a new TV for the event with 5G or should I send that money evenly split over a bank app to their respective accounts or would electronic money be of the devil and they rather receive a covid ridden enveloppe with cash? So many questions.

James lamented "Of course that date depends on an accurate starting date which was always a problem to find."

You'd think the Deity would include all the puzzle pieces needed to solve his own puzzle. No one wants to buy a 1000 piece puzzle and then find pieces missing when almost done. I'd want my money back.

There are different kinds of tribulations. The problem with the one discussed here comes from the belief on the part of certain individuals that what we see around us is THE tribulation, the Biblical one that is part of the final countdown leading to the end of the age. Would be teachers claim insights that they really do not have into the events or the timeline because they seek to gain followings for themselves and to manipulate people and the resources these people possess. Some are more successful in seizing control, while others never seem to be able to emerge from their own status as a joke.

If, as has been suggested, mankind has now become able to generate designer viruses, there could be any number of tribulations in our future, and very little ability to quell them. These viruses and other evil phenomena could well be parallel or alternate tribulations that collectors of people (such as ACOG leaders) exploit as "THE" tribulation. It's not unlike magic, alchemy, or the ancient sciences which made eclipse-forecast to be such a powerful manipulative tool.

Funny story, at least I think so. After my daughter got her Biology degree she told my wife and I that she was going on to get her Phd in virology (Actually it was Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis and it took me four years just to learn how to say it). I said, hmmm, so she asked me, what? I said that I had never really thought of it before, but you know in Revelation where it talks about wormwood killing a third of all life. She said yeah. I said, well the Greek word for wormwood is #$@%&$@ and your name is $#%&+- #@$%&# (no real names used here, but they sounded similar). You're going to invent the virus that kills over two billion people. She believed me for about ten seconds. Now she's a virologist at a major University working on a covid vaccine.

Just sayin'

Malm seems to be doing well, he's been able to maintain his tens of followers while the other acog leaders are losing people. A fine prophet he is! 😅

These guys need to get a clue. Their Millerite brother, David Koresh, already explained that he was the Lamb who will open the Seven Seals. And now he is dead. So he has to come back to life and open the seals. Until then prophecy is on hold. (Koresh is uniquely credible among the members of the Millerite Prophets Club because he once made a prediction that actually materialized, unlike the wannabes.)

With all due respect to Vernon Howell, the Armstrongist Branch of Millerism has to be the most bizarre.

In the NT, there is the word θλῖψις that refers to affliction or distress. It is not capitalized as in The Great Tribulation. It refers to a intense time of hardship for Israel that transpired around 70 AD within the duration of about a generation from when Christ preached. (The fact that it did not happen to the British people is another proof that they are not Israel.) I know this is hard to accept for all the "Left Behind" weenies and the Armstrongist fund raisers. But that's the deal.

Bob Thiel left a group where the "end" was always "3 to 5 years" from now. His own bent is to take the guesses of others and "prove" they should be further in the future.
The longest delay would be waiting for the Third Temple. HWA held the view that it had to be completed by 1972; Bob says HWA never taught that, and the temple isn't required.
Dave Pack had his endless run of sermons listing all the events that had to take place first; this has been replaced by his own whim.
Waiting for the next COG Clown to come up with a solid argument.

Too late!

Wormwood has been fulfilled.

The Ukrainian word for wormwood is Chernobyl, poisoning the world!

The Tribulation resides in another dimension. For a small group of strange people with different filters, the angst occasionally bleeds through, and they feel a profound need to spread it around to the rest of us.

The COGS need a "Doomsday Clock", updated on occasion , with a consensus reading combination of all of the COG predictions to be melded together into one "easy to read number!

The Doomsday Clock is a symbol that represents the likelihood of a man-made global catastrophe. Maintained since 1947 by the members of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, it reads something like "Five Minutes to Midnight" etc.

An alternative might be a COG "futures market", where put or call options can be traded on the arrival of the Second Coming. Prediction Markets actually has similar type of gambling pools as well.

For those who believe the Bible is the infallible and inspired word of God, Acts 2 clearly states the last days began at 31AD (plus/minus a few years).
Since then we have had pandemics that killed over one third of Mankind (the black death in the 1300s), great tribulation on God's people (the Jews mercilessly slaughtered in great numbers during the Holocaust - plus of course the times when the Romans slaughtered them).
I guess, at the tail end of the last days is where we get our 2 miracle working last witnesses and the miracle working false prophet - unless the fire from heaven is really modern military weapons - in which case our foes in Afghanistan and Iraq have already experienced it.

Acts 2 "clearly states??" Then why not quote the chapter and verse?

Why do religious but not secular writers constantly use expressions such as ' clearly states,' 'plainly,' 'even a child can see,' 'are you calling God (or some authority figure) a liar,' 'the experts agree,' etc, etc?

Dear Anon
Read verses 16 to 20.
You could read the entire chapter- not that hard to do.

TLA, if God does indeed have a seven thousand year plan, with the week symbolic of such, would not the last two thousand years be the last days? I did say "if" so throwing flames is pointless.

TLA said...

If God has a 7000 year plan, then the NT church started early on the 5th day. Then fizzled badly.
Jesus is recorded saying His followers would do even greater miracles than He did.
No evidence of this happening in our lifetimes.
If you believe in the gap theory - like the old WCG - what was God doing for 14 billion years?

If this universe was created, then the creator or creators would have to be outside this universe, and probably still are where our spacetime does not apply to them.
Imagine being an eternal being in this universe and having to wait billions of years for things to cool down enough to create life.

TLA are those questions of yours actually how you reason? What makes you think this is the only world that God has ever done this on? Let alone the only world in existence right now that he has created life on? With such a limited view it's no wonder you're throwing everything that you once believed out the door. Pitiful!
