It Was Another Staggering Week For LCG Prospective Members

Do you realize that more people are exposed to the gospel message
in just ONE episode of Veggie Tales than they hear listening to LCG ministers?

It has been another staggering week of amazing numbers of new prospects exposed to the Living Church of God. With the millions of dollars dumped into its outreach to preach the "gospel", the payoff does not seem too high.

Greensboro with a population of 301,094 people in 2021 provided LCG with 22 "guests" with 26 members signing on.

Knoxville, TN with a population of 756,000 people in 2021 provided LCG with 25 "guests" with only 8 members caring enough to sign on.

Greetings from Charlotte,
Mr. Richard Ames traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina, where he held a Tomorrow’s World Presentation for 22 guests (17 in person and 5 online) and 26 members. He is also scheduled to record a Tomorrow’s World telecast today (Thursday) on “The Greatest Friend of All,” advertising the What Is a True Christian? booklet. Follow-up TWPs were held in Missouri and in Atlanta. Dr. Winnail returned Tuesday evening after a trip to the Northeast United States where he spoke in Tannersville, Pennsylvania, and made a number of visits. Mr. Rod McNair conducted a TWP in Knoxville, Tennessee, with the help of Mr. James Meredith during the Q & A session. There were 25 in-person guests and eight online connections in addition to the members. So far this year we have had a cumulative total of 182 online guests and 144 in-person guests at our TWPs. These are not large numbers compared to past years, but a good start as we take steps to move forward coming out of a pandemic.—Gerald Weston

Damn! The burn on this one is gonna hurt!

Part of the low turnout for Richard Ames is because he is Richard Ames. He is still recycling the same sermons he gave in WCG. People want to be intellectually stimulated when hearing a preacher and that is not happening with Ames or with any of LCG's current presenters.

Meredith, McNairs blah blah blah. Is the LCG just a nepotism heavy organization? No wonder they don't have any growth.

If these were directors in a commercial company they would be fired on the spot. Consider the cost of having even one convert gained by these presentations? A lot of money just poured down the drain.

People should just wait until the two witnesses arrive but in the meantime also draw closer to Yahweh via their own Bible studies and prayer. The COGs have long outlived their purpose. Their tongues are tied as far as strong meat is concerned, leaving them only baby food to serve. It is no wonder that spiritual adults cannot survive living on what is meant for babies.

I remember once reading a testimony from an ex-LCG member and this person said that she was looked down on in LCG because she was not in HWA's WCG. It must be awful to be ostracized like that.

This is the stuff they like to spin into "Hey, look how blessed we are. Look how much favor we have with God." Sadly, the people are so blind and asleep that they BELIEVE it. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

It seems part of the problem is just the that the stale message that LCG is putting forth is not tenable in this day & age. I have been associated with the ACOGs since the 70's. If you think British Israelitism, portraying HWA as an apostle, demanding tithing and even 3rd tithe and tithe of a tithe and then having to meet in rented halls & 2 hour sermons are gonna be successful messages you are crazy. This is not 1971. But I guess some of these ministers are gonna keep trying to sell it rather than having to go out and get a normal job and income. Oh, I also forgot, minimize Christ and his message and sacrifice while emphasizing Church Government, church eras and primacy of Peter.

2:31 AM says: - A lot of money just poured down the drain

Expect them to quit television very soon, like Pack had to do (no return on big investment)

In response to 8:42's comment of "Ask the Fall's": A very astute observation! Dr. Jeff has a great deal of leverage and influence over the direction that the ministry takes.

Outreach vs Incoming

Similarly, according to CCOG's latest member letter, a report on a recent Animation Promotion campaign with Bob's cartoons claimed "693,459 people were reached around the world". Lots of apparent hits, and it looks like no reported return contact.

Wow; given the fact that LCG falsely inflates their numbers by at least 50%, those are extremely embarrassing numbers. I doubt LCG will tell us how many become tithe paying members and how many were just checking out how freaky this LCG cult is.

That baby food to serve is probably very much like Milk, as a baby can't eat Meat, but aren't the COGs serving more than baby food, or Milk? It appears the COGs also serve out Junk Food. Those of the living group, like those of the United group, and those hirelings such as Weston, Winnail, Flurry, Pack, Thiel, etc., are still teaching Junk Food in the form of such things as some third resurrection, earning salvation by their own works, another Jesus "very soon" (like yesterday? decades ago?) to arrive and reign on earth for 1,000 years.

When will their Milk (e.g. Sabbath, Holydays, Festivals, Law, etc.), which is needed to wean a babe, become supplemented with their Junk Food being replaced by strong Meat? It does not appear to be anytime soon, but

Time will tell...

Even if they could convert each guest at all of their meetings into a tithe paying member, that number would be less than the number of members who will die this year, or number of members who will shift membership to another splinter, of the number who will leave because they learn the truth. The end is near!

Yes it seems the end is nigh, shame my stepdad will wait until the deck of that ship is underwater b4 bailing out.

Oh and intellectually stimulation is the last thing any ACOG group wants lest it lose it's members

Junk food is way meatier than baby food. I am not aware of even junk food in the ACOGs. Would you care to give examples of junk food.

But even spiritual milk has to be new material, or the same material with a different slant, new details or examples. Members aren't even getting this. I read many blogs with a narrow focus, but they are still interesting because of new examples or slants. The ACOGs stand out like a sore thumb in this regard. It appears that the leaders are terrified of offending their membership and/or endangering their job security.

Junk Food in the ACOGs

British Israelism

Prophecy falsely so called

Sermons based on "we should," "we must" "You people" "Tithing" "I am an Apostle", "I am a prophet"

And according to Hebrews 6 "Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death,[a] and of faith in God, 2 instruction about cleansing rites,[b] the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And God permitting, we will do so."

And much more I am sure.

Dave Pack wins the prize for the most useless sermons ever given in the history of Christianity.

To me, spiritual meat including junk food, is practical knowledge on how to live ones life on a day to day basis. This includes an understanding of rights and how to deal with narcissists. There are many books to this effect, but unsurprisingly never mentioned by an abusive ministry. All they can do is rule rig by preaching eg, "a soft answer turns away wrath" no matter the context. So remember, if a family member is being being attacked by a potential rapist, response with soft words. Have a good Sabbath.

If your always supposed to use words then why did Peter wear a sword?

When he cut off that dudes ear Christ rebuked him for using his sword then not the fact that A: Peter had a sword or B: Peter knew how to use it.

Christ healed the dude that lost his ear, then just said you should not have done that, not you should not have done that & Oh my why are you wearing that sword & worse know how to use it????
