That's Armstrongism for you, forever bouncing between Arianism and Aryanism.

Aye.

I'm Catholic, and I approve of this inside joke! BTW, the teal St. Nick slapped the heretic Arius in the face for talking down the divinity of Christ. He should go on a bitch slap crusade, and work over the ACOG leadership!

Apparently Santa Claus is homosexual though, according to this best selling childrens book available at Amazon...

This is an important hidden truth. Before Coca-Cola expropriated his image for their ads, Santa Claus was not stereotyped as wearing a red and white outfit. Teal would have suited him just fine.

MY COMMENT - Yep! I grew up in the Worldwide Church of God and we didn't celebrate Christmas and did not believe in the Trinity. So, I had to look this up:

Homoiousios
Homoiousios means “of similar substance,” “of the similar essence.” It was a term used in the fourth century by a heretical group to describe the relationship between the Father and the Son. This is an improper term to use when describing the relationship between the Father and the Son. They are not of similar essence. Rather, they are of the same essence (Homoousios). In other words, according to the correct doctrine of the Trinity, the Father and the Son (and the Holy Spirit) share the same essence. See Ontological Trinity.

Go gingerly. Substance in theology refers to essence. "Substance" can be a trigger word for Armstrongists. They believe that God is made out of some spiritual material that holds form. It is pretty much in the role as physical matter in the Cosmos but it lasts forever - not subect to entropy. In the NT, the word "substance" is hypostasis. Like faith is the substance (hypostasis) of what is hoped for. Nobody would contend that faith is an actual material that has the property of holding form. Hypostasis can be used for material things but this is not implicit in its defintion. It just means something abstract like "underpinning" (ὑπόστασις in Greek - I was curious about what this editor would do if I fed it some Greek). But the definition you are citing is not from the Bible but from some theological source where I am confident that the word means spiritual essence.

This is fantastic! I chuckle every time I see this. I bet there was a spike in the Google searches for those two words because COG members have no idea what is being talked about here. Well done!

Santa Claus homosexual? Wow Tonto, is that true? Do you follow the science? Any science?

I suppose the next thing that may come out is somebody telling us or writing a book to tell us that Santa's reindeers with antlers are actually females and not males! And that we may take that to the bank?"

But, "Homoousios or Homoiusios?"

Those words are quite some "deep thoughts" to come out of a child's mind to his mouth!

What would happen if the following words came out of a child's mouth while sitting on Santa's lap?

"Omicron or Moronic?"

Or, how about:

"Santa or Satan?"

Oh, and time would tell...

Did you see Bob Thiel's latest diaper wetter on Santa Claus/St Nicholas? Typical poorly research COG crap.

Heh. This reminds me of the old "new wave" song "Homosapien" by Pete Shelley of the Buzzcocks.
