Sigh. Still on Track and I Was Just Kidding About Giving That Last, Last Sermon.

From Engineer Pack...

"P.S. to brethren. ENORMOUS additional things have been learned—ALL wonderful!—that are shocking! I plan several more messages that God surely wants delivered in order to FULLY reveal ALL He plans to do. While there is STILL a little time available to do this, we are still on track. You will soon learn this AS NEVER BEFORE."

Suffering kicks the learning mechanism in the mind into gear as nothing else can, to teach us the "right way." It is also the result of broken health laws, and of broken physical and/ or spiritual laws, of our own or of those around us. Jesus Christ also suffered horribly, not because of crimes He committed but because of our, all mankind's, spiritual crimes. He bled and died on the stake or cross, to pay the penalty of the sins of all mankind, to make it possible for you and me and all people, past, present, and future, to receive forgiveness from our sins and to inherit eternal life in the kingdom and family of God. Praise and thank the Lord for that!

Where did you read in the Bible that Jesus Christ suffered horribly...to pay the penalty of the sins of all mankind?

Romans 6:23 very plainly tells us this: "For the wages of sin [is] death;..."

There is sin in your, TC's, life. You, TC, will pay those wages with your own death. Why not? Didn't you earn the wages, or are we missing something?

Now, it is a nice thing that the following will also be true:

"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them;..." 2 Cor 5:19

Yes, praise and thank God for a reconciling of the world (including Dave Pack and his group)! Praise and thank God for not imputing trespasses for the world (including Dave Pack and his group)! Or, could it be that God is some respecter of persons?

Now, Dave Pack, apparently your hero (I almost said idol), says: "...I plan several more messages that God surely wants delivered in order to FULLY reveal ALL He plans to do..."

Dave is a believer of "another Jesus" that is expected to return any year, month, week, day, hour, minute, second in order to reign on earth for 1,000 years, and then fail after Satan exits the pit and virtually destroys Jerusalem (Zech 14), and Dave is going to more "FULLY reveal ALL" God plans to do? Ridiculous! God has only one Plan of salvation and it is revealed from Genesis to Revelation with copious details. God does not need anything from Dave!

Does God need anything from Dave, to spew out to somebody, that isn't already explained in the Bible? I seriously doubt it, especially when Dave's god can't even inspire consistently any real truth about the coming of the real Jesus Christ, not some "another Jesus, but God knows all of His works (Acts 15:18; Heb 4:3) and plans, has documented them, and does not need any assistance from Dave, but...

Time will tell...

Why did Christ or anyone else have to pay for our sins?
God is all-powerful, so why can't He allow people into His kingdom without anyone paying for others sins?

Sadly, chronic, repetitive pain reduces the ability to learn. Sometimes almost completely.

If this pain happened once or twice, sure, members might learn useful lessons. At this point, sadly, they are just being slowly stripped of their ability to think much at all.

King Solomon is wiser than David C. Pack and David C. Pack is wiser than Herbert W. Armstrong. Even though God had Herbert W. Armstrong lead a GREAT CORPORATION where his SPIRITUAL BODY OF BELIEVERS MET, he had David C. Pack CREATE AN EVEN GREATER CORPORATION for THAT SAME EXACT SPIRTUAL BODY of BELIEVERS to MEET.

WHAT ABOUT THE TRUTH said...

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

How many times in life has the RCG member sang the words of this verse?

With their eyes focused on their Lord Dave Pack and with their ears attuned to the watchman Dave Pack they see the house clearly. Unfortunately, it is nothing but a house of cards.

To quote Dave Pack from many years ago: "Do you think God will let me get this wrong, do you think God has led his last apostle on earth to not fully understand what is about to happen"?

Unless the Lord shall build the house - the weary builders toil in vain is an appropriate observation of what has transpired for the last nine years in the RCG.

An appropriate conclusion is that of a vain man residing in the middle of a vain campus entertaining in his vain mind that he is somehow going to stop the worldwide Christmas celebration this year.

Everything is right on track indeed!

Beginning to look as if TC is indeed someone's "sock puppet", isn't it 6:06? There is one perverse sort of personality type who gets off on appearing outrageous, and freaking people out deliberately to get a reaction. Posing as an advocate for one of the most risible characters from the cast of Armstrongism would definitely garner reactions. Depriving him, her, or it of the desired reaction will most likely make it go away.

TC, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, if you really believe Dave Pack is legitimate in what he says, it is a mystery to me how that can be, if a person looks into what he says I mean just an elementary look, how can anyone believe he's nothing more than a con artist peddling his elixir on prophecy, while he cons the people out of all there money, buying up all the homes surrounding his temple, planting more trees etc, what for, if he believes God is coming this week or maybe next, or next, or next.
Also ask yourself while he ask the brethren to make all things common, he lives in the lap of luxury wanting for nothing except all that you have or own and if your spouse dosn't agree divorce that person collect your half and send it in next day Air or sooner.
Look at his life, living behind his gate, beautiful home etc.Sad to say if people can't see what's behind his motus operandi I say embrace his propoganda, there will come a day people will say how stupid of me. Good to remember his day will come.
Not for me to say how he will be judged, I myself don't see myself as much to be sure, however! Wouldn'want to be in his shoes, scary thought...

You are talking rationality and that does not work. Remember Brother Dave Koresh - our Millerist brother. He appropriated all the wives at Waco and nobody made a peep. And there are Davidians that still believe in Koresh - that think he will return from death - to further end time events. Think how extreme it would be to turn your wife over to Koresh for sexual relations because you believe he is God's appointed leader and the end times were about to happen and he says that is what you should do to be obedient to God.

To you and me, our minds do not stretch that far. But the Branch Davidians demonstrate how far people will go when they are in a frenzy over prophecy.

Thank you for asking this question. You've articulated the most fundamental flaw in Christianity.

TC recently pressed the wrong button giving out his real name. TC is a him.
Doing or saying anything to get a reaction from others was common among certain personality types at church services.

Wow I mean what’s your David Pack failed prophecy limit? How many things have to not happen before you think hmmm false prophet?

He puts the “lie” in Elijah.

According to the OT we can mock him without fear because false prophets deserve mockery.

Hardly. God could have proclaimed sins forgiven by fiat. But this would not show his investment in forgivenss and mercy. Nor would it reflect the anathema of sin in the sacred realm. In this way he placed a mark of signification on sin a salvation for eternity. You can say "he didn't have to do that for me" but he did and you will have to think about why.

And as for TRUE CHRISTIAN (Forgive me the Armstrongian all caps - "True Christian" is such a pompous moniker), he/she professes such a high view of Christ's sacrifice but is that really true? Rod Meredith wrote the foundational Armstrongist article titled "Is Obedience Required for Salvation?" The answer to Meredith's question is "No." Obedience is not a requirement for salvation. Paul said by grace through faith you are saved not of works. So obedience that produces works is not in the formula.

Obedience is rather a consequence of salvation rather than a cause. When you have received salvation Christ lives his life over within you and this produces the change in behavior and the works of obedience - after you have appropriated salvation. Salvation is relational not formulaic. The Meredith doctrine cited above devalues the sacrifice of Christ - asserting that Christ's apparently inadequate sacrifice must be accompanied by or augmented with human works in order to achieve salvation.

Works are correlated with salvation. Not the causation. My guess this is not understand anywhere in Splinterdom. I don't have time to research the various Splinters.

True Christian. You never answered anonymous 9;55's questions. Why not? If God opened your mind it should be an easy thing to do instead of dodging the questions. Almost sounds like you don't totally believe Dave Pack but you've given so much money you can't admit you've been scammed. Or that you're a troll

Dear readers of this blog: There have been enough comments by TC on the postings the last two months or so, to consider not responding to TC. Proverbs 26:4-5.
