That Other Crackpot Prophet Claims That Without His Books Real Christians Will Be Unable To Fully Teach In The Millennium.

Our other favorite crackpot prophet is back with another doozy today letting the Churches of God know that unless they read his books and booklets they will be unable to FULLY teach people in this present age and in the millennium to come. Also, regular COG members cannot understand the Bible without his books and booklets.

It has always fascinated me how these men leading various COG's think their theological background is significant enough to be writing books on church teachings, prophecy, and history. None of them have a theological education outside of the Church of God. Their entire theological foundation is based upon Herbert Armstrong's interpretations of the Bible after a 6-month study in a public library, and from directly plagiarizing at least 3 books.

We should know by now that since God set into motion the ministry of the Great Bwana to Africa BEFORE the foundation of the world was ever established and foreordained him to be doubly blessed after almost being jailed, to be for us in these latter days the most important man to ever walk this earth. He is our appointed latter-day Elisha, Amos, Joshua, Zechariah, and one of the two witless witnesses.

His teachings are so mind-blowing that when the end times hit that he and only he will be able to determine WHEN it is time to flee and where to go to. No other COG can do this!

After pontificating on Herbert Armstong's Seven Laws of Success booklet, the Great Bwana writes about education:

Not only can the right education “open doors,” it helps many people become more productive. It helps people live up to more of their potential.

The Apostle Peter wrote:

15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: (1 Peter 3:15, KJV)

Don't be naive to think that you can get knowledge out of a seminary or a university. We all know by now where true education comes from and is found in these latter days.

Only Philaldphian Christians in the CORRECT Church will have the Holy Spirit and be able to discern these things:

How can Philadelphian Christians take action and instruct many if they are not prepared?

First, notice that the Holy Spirit will assist according to Jesus:

18 You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. (Matthew 10:18-20)

No Christian outside of the improperly named "continuing" Church of "god" can ever have the Holy Spirit working through them, even though the CCG denies the Holy Spirit.

Even so, his members need to be ready to give an answer when necessary:

You need to be prepared as the Apostle Peter wrote to be able to give answers to those who ask.

The Apostle Paul wrote the following:

15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:14, NKJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV)

The Great Bwana goes on to say that Christians need to study the Bible diligently and rely upon church literature to explain it all to them.

The Bible is the word of truth. Christians need to study diligently, which includes not only reading the Bible and paying attention to sermons, but also to read church literature.

One of the reasons is that parts of the Bible are not always easy to understand, as the Apostle Peter pointed out:

14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation — as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. (2 Peter 3:14-16, NKJV)

The Great Bwana then has the audacity to write this:

Notice again one is to be ‘diligent’ so one will not be moved by untaught and unstable people.

Never in the history of the church has it been overrun by so many false teachers and self-appointed prophets and apostles. Never have we seen such a large number of unstable men as we have leading various COGs today!

Church members are too stupid to understand the Bible and need to be "taught" by the Great Bwana on what it actually means. That is the entire purpose of the ministry today in the church.

This also means that God’s people need to be taught.

In addition to studying the word of God on their own, this is part of why God has a ministry:

26 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. 27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” 30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31 And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. (Acts 8:26-31)

The ministry and the writings of the Prophet/Apostle/Great Bwana are the necessary means by which church members are educated.

Yes, the true ministry helps people be able to speak the truth in love.

Now that books are more widely available than in New Testament times, books from ministers can also assist in teaching end time Christians.

While we have many, the following look to be particularly applicable to the ‘instruct many’ prophecy related to predominantly Philadelphian Christians:

The Great Bwana then goes on to list several of his books and booklets and then makes this proclamation:

Now that does not mean our other books and booklets are not important to know–and they can also be referred to–and all are found at the following link: CCOG Free Books and Booklets.

Only true Phialdphians who are members of the improperly named "continuing" Church of "god" will be able to instruct people during the Millenium with the TRUTH! Other lesser Phlialdlaphains (if they make it through the tribulation) who have not read the Great Bwana's significant works will be unable to fully teach church history, heresies, and prophetic understanding! Read it and weep Gerald Weston and Dave Pack!!!

Non-Philadelphians will not know enough to instruct many in this age. Oh yes, they will teach people during the millennium. But, the lack of knowledge of church history, development of heresies, and proper prophetic understanding will prevent most non-Philadelphians from fulfilling the “instruct many” prophecy in Daniel 11:32.

In the millennium those who survived will be eager to read about the history of the Great Bwana and his little group. That is why Bwana Bob has written his books. They will be teaching tools in the Millenium!

Because some of what people in the world will be interested in will be a bit historical, and to them unique, the listed books were written. These books are part of the CCOG preparation for the short work.

So there you have it, brethren! Get off your lazy Laodicean butts and support the greatest work the church has ever seen in the entire scope of Christian history! However, you must be willing to let God use you when he reveals the great Bwana to Africa is his true remnant leader!

If YOU are willing to be used by God and will support the true Philadelphian remnant leader, God may well have YOU instruct many. Either directly, or at least, indirectly.

Start studying Bwana Bob's books right now! You have a huge teaching job ahead of you!

Bob is obsessed with his own brilliance and the shadow he casts.
His ‘church’ should be called ‘The entirely predictable’ cog.
Those of us familiar with the Armstrong cult and its thinking and ways see a ‘predictable pattern’ in his claims and writings to recognise him as the charlatan he is. No different from many other claimants to the Armstrong mantle of ‘apostle’ or Elijah, Amos, ‘that Prophet’ etc etc etc….
Perhaps he should rename his church the ‘Stealth’ cog, for it flies under everyone’s radar as it is invisible.

Has anyone ever noticed that example of Christ forgiving the adulterous woman or what he said to the thief on the cross looks NOTHING like the Christ preached by Flurry, Thiel, Pack or ever preached by HWA? I don't recall any parables espousing the importance of church government either.

How interesting that on his list of "MUST READ" items, Bob doesn't include his 2012 book or his book on Hillary Clinton in Prophecy. I suppose that if you were to read those, 5-10 years after they've gone obsolete, you would see how much of Bob's prophetic technique involves flinging poo at a wall to see how much of it might stick.

The whole idea of being a King or a Priest as the big reward in the future for the true and chosen is what a typical medieval peasant might think was the highest achievement in life. So why not after death. Add to that the potential, depending on your smarts, one could be over 10, 5 or just 1 city Uber Mayor/Super Mayor/Just a Mayor. Losers got nothing. Not even a neighborhood watch Sargent or Street monitor.

The idea that being rewarded with "being a teacher" must be appealing to those who want to be in charge and have the last word with no discussion or possibility of learning something else from someone else.

These were never great motivators personally. Just another formula for more craziness, authoritarian abuses, chest thumbing and "don't you know who I am". But now for all Eternity.

TO some having the peasants to "come and worship at your feet" is probably also appealing.

It's all very weird and ego centric. I'd just want to be left alone in a log home, Mansions not required or desired, along the river. These eternal rewards appeal to everything that is already wrong with people here on Earth and why and how we got into the mess we are in here.

In a previous life, I must have said: "Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest." Denis Diderot 1713-1784

Dennis:

I see in your statement much vitriol against authoritarian systems. I would agree that the rule of man has been a failure and we have many examples to draw on. But what I think you did not include is the effect of "love thy neighbor" and servant leadership. These forces are transformative of any hierarchical governmental system.

We all grew up with Orwell's 1984. Big Brother is sending you off to war because he "loves" you. We are right to be wary of the term "love" as employed in the rule of man. Within the worldly regime most cyncism is justified. But I know that Jesus brought a different way. "Do unto others..." can't exist within the Big Brother system. It would be like the collison of matter and anti-matter.

I do wonder what the parable of the cities meant to the disciples. I sometimes think that they thought Jesus was going to rise up as a Warrior-King and throw off the Roman oppression violently. And in the aftermath they would literally rule over various regions of Palestine - the size of their regions, the number of cities correlated to their attainments in righteousness. I believe this all pivoted when Jesus sacrificed himself ("despising the shame") and by this means overthrew "thrones, principalities and powers." The Warrior-King is invoked in Revelation as the physical follow-on to the foregoing spiritiual victory.

The saints who reign with Jesus in the millennium will be a kingdom of priests (in the Greek it does not actually say "kings and priests") who will carry out priestly functions. I think teaching is one of those priestly functions although one could make an argument that Jesus will do all the teaching. Teaching interests me. On the other hand, I am not at all interested in running a city government. It would seem that the priesthood would be about the interface between God and man in some way. So the jury is out on this topic in my mind.

What I do know is that a denomination that runs a "Big Brother is watching you", hierarchical, autocratic church government is not the "kingdom of God in embryo." It is just more of the rule of man.

In 1993, at the annual Laughlin run, my wife at the time bought me a cool T-shirt. It was an air brushed picture of a skeleton riding an old Panhead, surrounded by flames. The caption was, "If they don't allow motorcycles in heaven, I'll ride mine straight to hell!" When she gave me the shirt, she said, "Babe, this is just you! It says it all!"

I wore that shirt until it damned near disintegrated.

The reality of love thy neighbor and "servant leadership" is great but not how it actually works it seems to me. I agree with disciples in the Gospels vying for lower etc when Rome fell. They struggled with who was the greatest among themselves. Short answer. Small phone keyboard and waiting on client

Dennis, in the 20th century, thousands of priests, ministers, rabbi's and laity were murdered by the Nazi's and Communists. Is your bitterness from your Armstrong days so great that you would wish that upon those of us who believe? Also Dennis consider this. A lot of Ex-COG laity might want to do you in because of the treatment they received at the hands of an ACOG minister. You may have been one of the nicer ones, but to many Ex-COG's, you would be fair game. So, be careful what you say, it might come back and bite you.

Oh! That's why in the last 80 years Link, Flurry, Armstrongs, Brisby, Shabi, Kubik, Weston, Meredith, Weinland, Coulter, Thiel, Pack, ad nauseum did/are doing their thing. In the future we will get to compare how the God of heaven does it with how man does it. It'll be like night and day.

If anyone has Kindle Unlimited you can read his Clinton book for free. Someone do a fact check on it lol.

Whoa! Did Phinnpoy just allege that Dennis might wish murder on ex-ACOG people, such that his murder in retaliation would be understandable, "fair game" for people feeling such? That's not quite a threat on Dennis' life, though the warning to "be careful" comes close to the line. Certainly it is an awfully reckless statement. If an unstable person reads Phinnpoy's post and later hurts Dennis, lawyers could really go to town trying to figure out any culpability attached to such a provocative post.

Who in the millennium will care about books on Obama, Clinton, Harris, and all the other political dipshits out there? Who will care about the history of the Continuing Church of God, other than the bad example it set for real Christians? Bouncing Bob will be a nobody in the millennium. He may be on the pooper-scooper detail in the local park for all we know.

Bouncing Bob will be a nobody in the millennium.

Why do you say this? Scripture says plainly that liars won't be in the Kingdom of God. Bobby's coming up for the third resurrection, not the first or second.

Hoss said...

Bob's statement reminded me of an instruction from the old Correspondence Course: don't read any other group's literature "until you are well grounded in ours". After that, anything one would read would be "filtered" through Armstrongism.

Personally, I would recommend some Church History, and history of doctrinal development. I've heard some whoppers from Protestant ministers who think that doctrines that took centuries to develop were settled theology by mid first century. Simply reading the biased work of Eusebius would challenge those thoughts.

I thought Phinnpoy was stating the obvious. Harming other people is dangerous. It needs to be said. Our delusional Dennis thinks that he can steal peoples eternal life with his atheistic articles, while believing that he's safe as a church.

Are we to assume from this line-up that people will want to read about The Very Stable Genius during the Millennium?

Diderot's actual quote was this:

Nature created neither servant nor master;

I seek neither to rule nor to serve.

And its hands would weave the entrails of the priest,

For the lack of a cord with which to strangle kings.

Phinnpoy said...

Read my comment again. I didn't say Dennis would wish murder on EX-COG's. I said his comment sounded like he wanted to wish it upon believers in God. That quote by Diderot inspired many bloodthirsty revolutionaries to mass murder innocent people just because they believed in God.

Why Brisby? He is true to Armstrong's original teachings of Radio Church of God days. You cannot find a more Armstrong die hard with the Truth of God. Not so the rest mentioned above.

Thanks for the link. I saw this statement in the article, "The truth has been exposed that the last presidential election was stolen. Now an illegitimate president is careening from one crisis to another."

That was enough.

Lake of Fire, "There goes NEO again with his Trump Derangement Syndrome and obsession with President Trump."

My guess is that you would like everyone to be quiet about the Very Stable Genius so he can go about his nefarious strategems unobserved. Spice up autocracy with a thick sauce of White Privilege and many will sit for that meal. Let us say that someone needs to offset the many who come to this blog with the Trump Bootlicker Syndrome - jack boots at that.

I've said many times over the past several years that "He lost me at Charlottesville!"

Wake up, people! Primary winners in my state who were endorsed by Trump are now endorsing blatant antisemites, and are regularly attending meetings of white nationalist, white separatist groups.

This is not what you think it is, and it will not will not end well for our country if we don't succeed in somehow getting rid of Trump. Patriotism is not simply loyalty towards someone who proclaims that "L'etat, c'est moi!" It is loyalty to the traditional values of the country, and not towards what some revisionist populist proclaims! Read the 1930s history of Germany, so that you can know what is ascending!
